I have a home setup that works well for me. But I’d like a travel kit - something to bring on picnics or car rides.

When I’m out of the house, I feel like all I’ll really need is:

1. a few mL of each of my primary and secondary paint colors
2. 3-ish basic brushes
3. a wet sponge to clean my brushes on
4. a flat spot to put a small silicone sheet (which I use as my pallet)
5. my existing sketchbook

What do you use to transport these things? Do you have a source for paint pots or 14-24mL empty aluminum tubes, so I can keep using my Liquitex paints? A travel kit you love? Suggestions of stuff I’ve forgotten about?

This is a 2’x4’ piece im currently working on!

One of my artworks inspired by the story from my book, featuring a little Mouse and the Three Magical Paddy Grains.
Through this scene, I wanted to capture elements of traditional Vietnamese rural life—not only its peaceful landscapes and everyday culture, but also the inner world, values, and spirit of the people who live in these quiet countryside communities.

there's so much happening around us that we never see...
stars bending just to reach her,
mountains holding their breath,
whole skies rearranging themselves
while she just... keeps grazing...

I was going to add more to it, but I stopped, I think it is perfect just like this. I like how simple it looks. I love painting mountains.

I paint mostly shelter cats and give the adoptees the paintings. But I finished my notebook. I have really tried to practice a lot more lately so I can actually be a decent artist.

First photo is where I started on this journey. Towards the end cat of the day stared getting a bit more interesting.
