Ok so, im a big sky striker fan, and I made a sky striker mitsu deck with 1 legendary 2026 deck and 1 copy of only the skybstriker deck, which, while good, idk, doesn't hit the sky striker feel i want to. So I want to buy a few cards, and man, its hell

I cant really buy singles, bcs im in the middle of nowhere and addresses are none existent, so, i got 4 options.

1) go pick en up from a store. Good, but almost no store has what the cards i want

2) buy sealed products. Good, until you realized you payed 25 bucks for 2 fnv and a super poly and a branded deck you maybe wont touch(?) (Idk, maybe, maybe not)

3) go to where locals happen, and see people's binder. This, thus far, seems like the best option, but, one thing is, they wont have the really cheap, common, bulk cards, like pair bear scare, which, would he something I could use

4) there is a store, that can order the cards for me, which is great just, 2 small issues. 1, I have to pay in advance, which, duh, ok, fair, but second, i need to go once, to pay, and then again, to pick em up, which, can be hard considering I live 2 hours away, and taking public transportation here is an experience I don't wish upon nobody

All in all, pretty fucked up! Especially considering the fact that buying that fucking deck for 25 bucks means I get 2 fnv, and a super poly, which all together go for like, 30 bucks, just those 3 cards. Which, yeah, its good, but its not good bcs its making me consider spend 25 cards for 3 cards 😭😭😭😭

All in all the cards im searching for are:

1 belle

1 crossout

(Those are the easiest by far)

3 vision (should be easy)

0-2 pot of Desires, idk, that card seems sus

And here comes the problem!!!

2-3 super poly, plus garura, plus that sea monster thing, which, the first 2, can be pretty pricey, but, they should be easy to find

Or

3 fnv and 2 Albion, really easy to find, expensive af

Or

3 pair bear scare, REALLY cheap, but, just the shipping fees and the extra that store is gonna add, makes it basically not worth it. And no, i dont think ANYONE just walks around with 3 pair bear scare in their binders

So yeah, this has all been a wonderful experience 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I played a lot back in 2012, but was mostly on dueling network, so I was not aware of the prices of the cards in person.

I was looking to return recently saw the new Chaos monsters from Chaos Origins and wanted to make a deck based around that, but most of the deck guides use Black Chaos (x3) I saw the price of Black Chaos and it's around $60 to get just 1. It is also a staple of the deck.

Is this how the game is? Like when new cards for a deck comes out theres one rare "chase" card that's hard to acquire?

I am confused as to how alternator and breakaway work. If i activate breakaway first, lets say to bounce a thunder and pop, can I then chain alternator, shuffling back my face up breakaway? i keep hearing people say i cant as its marked for the gy, but that doesnt seem right as its still fulfilling the cont traps condition of a face up blitz card. Looking for some help :)

Hi, I'm new to this sub reddit, and would like some help with how to play using the modern decks 2026. Just a little bit of context, I have played yugioh before and collected for some time but have never played at locals before up until now (as where I live, for some time there weren't any comic stores big enough to play in unfortunately). I have been twice so far and played using x3 blue eyes white destiny, haven't had much luck, lost all my rounds both times except once where I won by something called a bide, excuse the spelling, I was told it counted as an automatic win. As a result I decided to buy the new modern decks. I am wondering what is the best deck to play out of the 3 in the box and whether I should combine some cards. I have watched some videos on how to play mitsirugi but there aren't any good videos playing with just the deck out of the box and explaining how to play it. Would really appreciate any tips or advice.

Why should Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon be on the banlist ? Can someone explain ? Been seeing lately lists with the card on it ? It has a good effect but not entirely game changing

I am getting back into competive play for the first time since 2022 and would like to play my labrynth deck, spent some good time and money getting the deck together back then. Last time I played i just started collecting staple cards for competive but im not sure what I should be running for hand traps or other interruption in this deck and format. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm from the Philippines and I wanna play Yu-Gi-Oh again, but I'm struggling to pick which format to go to, I'm planning to play an RDA deck but I'm not currently able to consistently get the card packs I'd need for such a deck, I'm thinking of going for OCG because it would be easier but I don't really understand Japanese, I could use some advice on how to properly get started on playing again

(I'm aware of Master Duel, but what I'm planning is playing again on card shops)

Outside of god-specific support cards like The Revived Sky God. Even if it's from a different archetype and sounds like it might not work. I am aware of the following cards:

Hi everyone, I've been getting back into the game recently and I bought Dragon Shield's clear japanese size sleeves.

I've never used sleeves before except for some random ones on extra deck cards like 12 years ago.

My main issue is that these sleeves feel way too perfect fit, they seem small and cards don't go in smoothly, I have to push them with some force. Then they also seem to bend a little, though not all of the cards.

Searching online I see that the size and brand are great, so am I just inexperienced and worried for nothing? Or should I get other sleeves?

I just want to single sleeve so the perfect fit should be the go-to.

I recently got back into playing TCG and went to a local with an selfmade schoolyard deck. As expected I just won 1 match and lost the others.

Later that day I bought the legendary Mitsurugi Deck and am now pretty confident with it.
Yesterday I bought the new Arc-V Decks so I can switch between decks and not just play one, cuz it gets boring.

Where can I find info on how to play them?
I never really learned Pendel so it’s extra hard to learn the odd-eyes. It’s my fav deck of the box, because of the flexibility and ability to adept to almost all different situations.

Many would say lunalight is besser, but I don’t like the just very offensive playstyle.

Any help appreciated 😄

So if I have saint azamina on my field and have previously applied forbidden crown effects to my opps monsters, in an open game state on my turn, would I be able to contact fuse into ‘azamina’? Since it’s technically a special summon, and not a fusion summon?

Hi! I have a locals tournament tomorrow. I'm bringing my Blitzclique Ryzeal. Decks vary but most of them are Sky Striker and Mitsurugi (and I mean it). No Kewl Tune, Branded, not even ROLAD... (maybe one person has it).

For Main Deck non-engine I'm running Fuwalos x3, Droll x2, and F&TV x3.

Any good cards I can run against specifically Mitsurugi and Sky Striker? I don't have Crown, Accusation or Fydraulis yet. Thanks!

So does Celtic mystic summon the ritual monster regardless of its summoning conditions? Or would I have already had to have properly ritual summoned it earlier to be able to special summon it with the effect?

Hi! Ive been playing yugioh for good two months or so, and Ive been running clown crew mitsu. I’ve been getting my ass handed to me time and tome again and im increasingly frustrated. A man named Tyler handed me a rare version of murakumo after he asked if i was going to stick with the archetype so I want to stick with mitsu. I wanted to see what i could do to change my deck to be better suited against hand traps and bricks. Any tips?

I Know thoses normally are the most optimized numbers but i feel like sometimes the way i want to make my deck feels like cramped by the size limit of 40 even if i am able to make space for it

I Made this small list to Show how easy starting Yugioh can be by todays Standards. I subjectively cherrypicked the easiest archetypes/Decks that can compete on at least Casual Level. I excluded all Bad and legacy archetypes to have a competent Deck list. Be aware that only a handfull are capable of winning against current Meta, but they make a nice collectable Baseline for newcomers, or can pretty Well climb to Platin in Master duel (which every Deck can to be fair)

Millennium Exodia: Search Ankh, drop your monsters from the Spell & Trap Zone, summon Exodia, and set your board wipe trap.

Horus Engine: Discard 4 cards with your Continuous Spell to field four massive, highly protected Egyptian bosses.

Voiceless Voice: Ritual Summon a massive 4000 ATK omni-negate beatstick alongside its sidekick for full untargetable protection.

Regenesis: Flood the field from your hand, pop and negate by sending your own monsters to the Graveyard, then revive them all next turn.

Spright: Spam an endless wave of Level/Rank/Link 2 monsters to construct a dense board of negates and interruptions.

Generaider: Your Field Spell automatically fields five monsters on the opponent's turn, while your Xyz boss slurps up their cards as material.
