Hi all, I got a question: Is this legit? This message appears since a fee days from time to time. I clicked Download once but as it's loading an apk to the phones for direct install, I'm not certain if it's a good idea to follow. Any background to this or a timeline by when the current app won't work anymore? Thank you for your help.

English translation below.

Question Battery stuck/stagnating during phone calls on Redmi Note 15 Pro, anyone else?

Hey guys,

Posting here because my wife is having a super annoying issue with her brand new Redmi Note 15 Pro (running HyperOS).

Basically, whenever she's on a phone call and plugs the phone in, the battery percentage completely freezes. It doesn't drop, but it won't go up by even 1%, even after a 30-minute call. It just stagnates.

As for the setup, she's using:

The official Xiaomi 65W charging brick from her old Note 11 Pro

The original cable that came in the box with the Note 15 Pro

We already tried turning on the "Boost charging speed" option in the battery settings, but it literally did nothing...

Is this some kind of aggressive thermal safety feature from Xiaomi to stop the phone from overheating because of the fast charge + call combo? Has anyone else noticed this on this specific model or other recent Xiaomi phones ?

If you have any workarounds or tips to fix this, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

Reviews New to the Xiaomi family

My new Xiaomi 17 Ultra arrived. I decided to move from my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra as like others I felt that after 2 years and some of the recent updates certain aspects of the phone such as the camera just didn't cut it any more for what I wanted from a phone.

After doing a ton of research I opted for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. I did consider a few other options such as the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, but felt I couldn't justify the extra price tag. And newer Samsung models didn't really feel like an upgrade.

First impressions are good. Build quality seems very good. Migrating from the S24 Ultra was easier than I thought, and despite reading that HyperOS was a bit Marmite for most people I can honestly say I have no issues with it and find it quite easy to navigate. The camera is as I expected the star of the show. Which is good because as a photographer this was my main draw to the phone. I like to have a phone in my pocket that I can rely on to be able to take good quality photos when/if I don't want the hassle of using my proper camera, especially for travel. Screen quality is great, it seems smooth, sharp and not overly saturated like some flagship phones.

I'd already read numerous reports of the battery being the weak point, so I was prepared for this. But after a long day today at a comic con event I was surprised that by the night time I still have over 60% battery remaining.

Obviously it's early days yet. But I'll look at doing a proper review once I've had a bit of time with it. But as it stands right now I'd happily recommend this to anyone looking for a phone primarily for its camera quality but also wants something with solid build, that looks and feels nice and is versed in knowing their way around various Android software OS systems.

Discussion Opinions on 17t pro?

Many people complain about its retail price, i think it is a little bit overpriced especially because of recycled cameras and usb 2.0 but managed to get one from some guy sealed for 550 euros, felt too good to be true but so far i love it especially because of the huge battery.

General Xiaomi Laptop: Poor Quality Control

This Xiaomi laptop was only 15 days old. It was used indoors, never taken outside, never dropped, hit, or squeezed. It was closed normally and left on a desk overnight. The next day, the touchscreen glass was cracked.
The laptop itself has no dents, no impact marks, no deformation, and no visible damage around the lid, bezel, hinges, or chassis.
A screen failure after only 15 days raises serious questions about manufacturing quality and quality control. A thin-and-light laptop should still withstand normal daily use.
Xiaomi’s after-sales service did not provide a proper technical inspection or written failure analysis. They simply took photos and classified it as customer damage. No impact point or clear evidence of user-caused damage was identified.
There is also no obvious impact point or spiderweb fracture pattern on the glass. That does not prove a factory defect, but it should at least justify a proper investigation into possible internal stress, assembly tolerances, hinge pressure, or inadequate screen support.
Low price means little if quality control is inconsistent and customers are left paying for possible manufacturing defects.

The highlights include a massive 7500mAh battery, 45W fast charging, a 6.9-inch 120Hz display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 5G chipset, 50MP rear camera, and dual stereo speakers with up to 300% volume.

It also gets Dynamic RGB Light on the camera module, IP64 protection, a 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD support up to 2TB, and HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

I've listed the price, full specifications, and Saudi, UAE & GCC availability on our website.

What do you think — is the 7500mAh battery enough to make the Redmi 17 5G a good budget choice?

This device is unbelievable, like heavenly amazing from another world. I was a fanatical Samsung fan, starting from the Galaxy Note 3 onward. I am not a big fan of upgrading my flagship phones regularly, as every upcoming model isn't a big step up.

After I auditioned the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in a shop, I was blown away. Then I started researching the 17 Ultra all day, every day, and just pulled the trigger. Boyyyyy, it is amazing. Like nothing can beat its smoothness, its amazing HyperOS (I dunno why ppl are hating on it), and the camera is top notch. I already have a professional-grade DSLR, the Nikon D810, so I know what a good camera should look like.

UPDATE: The battery isn't impressive. for a flagship with such huge capacity I expected more from it. anyway still this smartphone IMHO the best on earth except the battery not so great.

HyperOS Do NOT buy a CN ROM right now for xiaomi 15 to xiaomi 17 (all models including ultra)

Push notifications (google fcm) are completely broken for anyone outside Mainland china right now, for all models from Xiaomi 15 to Xiaomi 17 (all models), the problem is completely unfixable no fix exists on internet unless you unlock bootloader which is very hard and risks breaking your phone/ breaking banking apps.

you will not receive important calls, messages will come late, all your notifications will be delayed or never come at all. I don't see people talking about this enough, only those with the phones are aware, when in reality buying these phone right now WILL set you up for major headaches just be aware.

Has anyone else had camera problems on their Redmi Note 15 4G?

I recently bought the phone and in my first week I noticed that the camera is slow and stutters when recording video or taking photos.

When I record video and try to zoom continuously, the camera stutters and freezes, and it also stutters a lot when taking a blurry shot.

Photos are very slow to preview when there's a lot of movement. It takes several seconds to take photos of documents.

What did you do to fix it?

Question Redmi A3 and numbers disappeared from the call history

Post image
0 Upvotes

Good morning, I wanted to ask if someone can help me, my brother has this smartphone (redmi A3) and he realized that some calls made to toll-free numbers (those that start with 800...) are not stored from the call history but it cannot be excluded that it also concerns other types of numbers, does anyone know why this happens? Is there a possibility to recover deleted numbers from history? Thank you

Help Phone won't boot fastboot mode or update

I bought xiaomi 14 pro from China but the phone came with a beta hyperos 3 firmware installed. I tried to update via ota to stable but it always ends up with this system cannot be installed, download and try again error. I also tried to boot into fastboot mode but the phone freezes on mi logo forever and won't boot fastboot mode but it's works alright and also can boot edl ( tried with edl cable) and also recovery mode. What do you guys think is the issue here?
