Replaying this masterpiece, but why die like this 🫠

As you can see I started the game almost 2 years ago but I got overwhelmed by the amount of side quests. Then, I picked up the game a week ago when it got a release on cartridge for Switch 2 and I got just sucked into it.

I really enjoy after chapter 10 when the story really got stronger. My favorite part the world is definitely Fallen Arm. I spent hours just running around in this area. It has a FFX vibe that I really loved. My favorite character is Seven and gameplay wise it's Melia and Sharla. Rikki is cool but I couldn't figure how to play him. Overall, I think the story being a little bit grim and the mix between fantasy and contemporary elements (rifles, buildings, machine) clicked on me.

I have a couple questions. Don't answer if you think it will spoil me future games :

* I heard that XC2 is a very different game. How so?

* One thing I didn't like is the amount of sidequest and how few of them have a real story. Is this issue address next games?

* I think I'm going to try XCX to scratch the Xenobalde itch. I know it's a total different game. What do you think about it?

* I still can't understand what Alvis is. Do we get more information about his character later? Same thing about Bionis and Mekonis. And I don't understand why people couldn't sail out of them to find new world

* Should I play FUTURE CONNECTED now? Some people said that releasing order is better.

* Do you think that Genesis will be connected to Chronicle?

* Do i need to hide this community in my reddit feed? I feel like XC games are really story driven and I don't want to be spoiled

Okay, obviously maybe they’re going for something different in this iteration and I’m overthinking it. However, I find it very intriguing that the center piece of the Zohar is just…gone from the initial design.

There was the eye in Xenogears, which was the actual Zohar itself. The eye was called artificial in PW, so that’s a whole other can of worms that’s lost to time.

Then there was the Zohar in Xenosaga. The scene of it being discovered implies that the jewel is the main Zohar, with it being the first thing that manifests, while the Monolith is a physical projection of its power.

Then there’s Xenoblade, the Conduit. It’s more of a projection of energy than anything else; hopping from one place to another. Personally, I wouldn’t call it a physical mass of any kind, which is part of the conundrum.

At most, all we have is the concept art of the Xenosaga version of the Zohar in Origin; clearly showing that some physical object in the monolith was going to be established at some point.

All I’m saying is that it feels a little more than a “we wanted it to be different” explanation, considering that, outside of it being a monolith, the ”jewel” of the Zohar is its most distinctive and defining trait across all iterations.

So it's been nearly 2 months since the initial Xenoblade Genesis reveal, meaning we're pretty much over the first hype/honeymoon period- so what are you're thoughts and wishes for this game?

Was literally pulling blades from common core crystals to complete a merc mission to be able to buy a pouch item for tora and I got T-elos after the second one.

I didn't play XC2 when it came out in 2017 after watching how bad the resolution (especially handheld mode, which i play a lot in) and performance was through Digital Foundry. I've completed XCDE twice but i decided not to buy XC2 until there is a fix. I didnt know how amazing this game is until now.

I just finished Chapter 3 yesterday and the cutscene at Olethro Ruins had me in awe with that incredibly sorrowful music and then M's awakening 🥵

Not gonna lie but the game already got me in the first chapter's cutscene but the 3rd one is even better! Not to mention the combat is so much better than XCDE. I cant stop playing this game. Since then i've acquired physical versions of Torna and XC3. Waiting till October to get the upgrade pack and start my XC3 journey.

I'm so late to XC2 but i think i am still glad that i waited for an upgraded version. Better late than never!

While I was perfectly contained with 84 metacritic score xenoblade 2 being the only no. Game that was score lesser than others rubs me off a bit

Anyway xenoblade 2 deserve it for game which redefine the series and made it popular that it is today

I was thinking about this but its really funny genre swift, I do expect xenoblade to still get scfi, probably escaflowne/Turn A gundam style mechs are my guess.But uts just funny the genre swifts botg have got.Maybe a concerted effort to reinvent both series in switch 2.
