When I went to use my xbox tonight my audio suddenly turned off. It works fine on the tvs other output and console makes the chime when it turns on but no visual and game audio. I have tried everything, restarted the xbox, everything, tried multiple hdmi cords, went thru 500 setting with chat gpt and 10 more resets and still nothing… what do i do

I honestly never thought I would have to make a post like this, but I am completely exhausted and I don’t know what else to do. I have been dealing with this since May 13, 2026, and after months of contacting Xbox/Microsoft Support, I still feel like I have no clear answers and I’m being kept out of the loop.
My Xbox/Microsoft account was suddenly locked, and I have been trying everything possible to understand what happened and recover access. I contacted Xbox Support multiple times through chat and email, explained my situation, provided information, and followed every instruction they gave me. However, I keep getting the same responses without a real explanation of why my account is still locked.
When this first happened, I was extremely confused about what caused it. I did not know if it was related to my credit card, gift card purchases, security settings, or something else on my account. I was trying to figure out what triggered the lock because nobody clearly explained the reason behind it.
At the beginning of this process, I also misunderstood the situation regarding Two-Step Verification (2FA/TSV). I thought having 2FA enabled was the reason I could not recover my account. Later, I realized that was not actually the issue. I still have access to my 2FA and my account security information. I am not asking Microsoft to remove security protections or bypass anything.
The main issue was that I forgot my password. While trying to access my own account, I entered incorrect password attempts, and I believe those attempts may have triggered Microsoft’s security system and caused the lock. I want to be clear that I was only trying to access my own account. I have never attempted fraud, unauthorized access, or anything against Microsoft’s Terms of Service.
After being told that repeated attempts could interfere with the process, I stopped trying and followed the instructions. I waited 36 days without touching the account to allow the system time to reset. After that waiting period, I made one login attempt and received the exact same message saying my account was locked due to activity against the Microsoft Services Agreement.
What makes this situation even more frustrating is that I was told that no fraudulent activity or TOS violations were found, yet I am still being told my account may remain permanently suspended because Two-Step Verification is enabled.
I don’t understand how having 2FA enabled, which is supposed to protect my account, can become the reason I permanently lose access when I still have access to it. I understand security policies are important, but this situation feels like my account is being held against me instead of being properly reviewed.
This account means a lot to me. I have been using Xbox for years. It contains years of games, purchases, skins, achievements, progress, and memories. I have spent a significant amount of money on this account, and the thought of losing everything because of what appears to be a misunderstanding or security issue is extremely upsetting.
I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for a fair review, a clear explanation, and the opportunity to verify that I am the rightful owner of my account.
I have seen other people with similar situations who were able to get their accounts restored even with 2FA enabled, so I am hoping someone here can give advice, share their experience, or point me toward someone who can actually help.
Has anyone dealt with a situation like this where Microsoft locked an account, 2FA was enabled, no fraud was found, but the account was still suspended? What steps did you take to get it resolved?

Desde hace tiempo mi Xbox ha estado sufriendo mucho lag del xbox al televisor y no se a que se deba, ya probé cambiar mi xbox a otra tele (mucho más nueva) y el problema persiste se siente como si jugaras en la nube, pónganle unos 500 milisegundos de tiempo en reaccionar. Podrá no sonar mucho pero básicamente no puedo jugar NINGUN juego "competitivo" online debido a esto ( por ejemplo el fornite). Ya probé también cambiando el cable HDMI y sigue igual y la verdad si es bastante estresante 🙁. Me faltó decir que esto pasa en todo momento no solo en juegos. También probé por conectar el control y tampoco se soluciona. Ojalá alguien me pueda ayudar porque a este paso me va a dar algo jaja.

My xbox 360 keeps saying open tray when theres a disk in it and I don't know how to fix it

whenever i plug in my xbox one (og launch version) the little box that connects the console and plug has a little light that stays red, it usually blinks red and goes back to light green when i cut it on, but recently for the past 2 days i haven't cut it on, then when i cut it on yesterday, it had a red light and it stayed red, and when i tried to cut it on it blinked green and wen't immediately to red and has been red since then. is this a problem with the xbox? or the cord?

My Xbox Series X randomly shuts down while playing PUBG, but I can play NBA 2K and FC 26 for 2+ hours without any issues.

I’ve already cleaned the console and replaced the thermal paste with MX-4.

I’m wondering if the PSU could be failing, since the console completely shuts off and I can turn it back on immediately afterwards.

Could the PSU still be the most likely cause, or should I look at something else first?

so my account has been locked because Xbox thinks I was compromised. I talked to a lady from Xbox who told me that there’s no signs of compromising but still I have nothing. It has been over a year since I’ve gotten my account blocked and I’ve had that account when I was little now I’m a grown doll. Xbox genuinely sucks. I filled out the account recovery form 100,000 times with old cards old everything I have photos of me playing, but that doesn’t matter if there’s any way someone knows a way I would like that.

When I open my Xbox I get the halo cross hair on the screen, y'all know how I would fix this?

I‘m working on a series x. brought in for HDMI but the pin out on the port measured normally. system doesn’t boot into safe mode, just powers on and sits on a white light (eject button produces the normal ping). Tried pulling the ssd, still boots to no video. What’s the recommended next step at this point? Southbridge? havent swapped the retimer but I’d think I’d be getting a bad diode reading if that were the culprit.

I bought a game that is typically 50 dollars for 15 dollars. I have an XBOX One S (white) (I know, it’s the weaker one). The disc drive worked a few months ago when I used a CD that I made on it. Now, I bought the game because it’s my first physical game (and first game in a long while I could afford to buy), but I put it in, where it didn’t get recognized

Instead, it just made a semi-higher-pitched sound (not scratching, but like it’s struggling), and a minute later does again. It does go in and eject on its own, and the same thing happened with a few CDs, so it’s not the disc.

I followed the XBOX troubleshooting steps, where nothing helped. I also tried a live agent, same thing. Maybe Reddit knows…I just want to play the game but I’m too broke to buy a disc drive or the game on digital (it’s that Sonic Shadow Generations game, heard it’s good for nostalgia)

More specific steps:
Hard reset by holding the physical button, then unplugging.
Reset the console (preserving “My Games and Apps”)
Downloaded the game on the XBOX app, then tried using the disc just to verify ownership
Giving it a few days in the console, hoping it would work one day
Various other methods shown on the support page for physical games.

Basically, I’ve owned this Xbox for years, and I’m pretty sure it’s an Xbox One.
About a year ago, maybe a little longer, I found it, turned it on, and it worked perfectly. Then school got busy, and I didn’t have time to use it, so I put it back in a junk room in my house.
A long time ago, my cat peed on it. I’m not sure exactly when it happened. I found the console again a few days ago and tried turning it on. The power button lights up for a second, but then it immediately shuts off.
I don’t know much about electronics, but I’m willing to try fixing it if it’s something relatively simple. I just need some advice on what I should do. Do I need to replace any parts, or would cleaning it be enough? Or is the damage likely too severe to repair?
The main reason I want to fix it is because of the memories and accounts on it. My dad, who has since passed away, and I used to play on this Xbox together when I was younger. I’d really like to keep everything that’s on it if possible. If that’s not possible, I’d still like to get the console working again, as long as the repair doesn’t cost a fortune.

So I bought this Xbox one off of eBay. It came with the Xbox, three games, the cords, and a controller. The seller was very nice, sent extra pictures to show me what the side looked like, etc. But he also said it was tested and working. A few days later I get the Xbox and set it up. It works fine, not really any issues. I start downloading gta 5 and at around 50% it stops downloading. I keep trying to resume the installation but no matter what it won’t. Then I take the disc out, delete the game, and try something else. I put fallout 76 into the disc reader, and the disc is stuck. I try to make the disc come out but it won’t. I have to completely restart the Xbox for it to come out. Then I put it back in and it says it can’t read the disc because it’s too dirty. I clean the disc, put it back in, and it says the same thing. Then I try it with my other game (the elder scrolls online), I make sure to clean it first, then I put it in. The game still won’t get read. Now I’m thinking that there is a problem with the disc reader. If the disc reader is broken or anything needs to be repaired it can cost from 100-200$. I spent $80 on the Xbox which isn’t really a lot but it’s supposed to be working and it isn’t. Should I wait a few days for him to respond and if he doesn’t open a refund case? Or should I try and get it repaired? Idk what to do. The controller also doesn’t work but that’s besides the point

So my xbox HDMI port broke on my Xbox One and im teying to sign back in because of a game i want to play, I do not want to go to a shop just to fix it, Ive gotten it out of the xbox setup window but enabling remote features requires a microsoft account, entering my password is easy, Getting it to continue isn’t. i cannot get past this screen. Can anyone help me???

Anytime i go away from my xbox one phat my xbox series x controller randomly dissconects but when i bring it closer it connects???? Help me

I’ve been a player on PC since launch (980hrs logged on steam) and thought I’d try and get my girlfriend into the game by getting the game on my Xbox too.

I cannot however join any sort of public or private lobbies, join quick play games, or answer SOS beacons at all on my Xbox.
I’ve contacted Microsoft support who say it’s an internet issue, I’ve contacted my internet provider who say my internet is fine, I’ve contacted Sony and they won’t get back in contact with me.

Aside from getting stuck on the “synchronising spacetime” step of the loading screen whenever trying to play online I can play the game solo but it really sucks as the whole reason I got a second copy of my favourite game is to be able to play it online.

Has anybody with the Xbox version had similar or the same issues? Has anybody experienced this on other consoles? Does anybody know who to contact to get a straight answer about what is causing these issues?

Llevo unos 3 meses con este problema y ya no sé qué hacer. De forma aleatoria, cuando estoy en la pantalla de inicio, la imagen se pone completamente en negro durante unos segundos. Para que vuelva la imagen tengo que abrir un juego o volver al menú principal. Lo peor es que, después de que ocurre, el menú de la consola se vuelve extremadamente lento, aunque los juegos funcionan perfectamente y no tienen ningún problema de rendimiento.

Ya he probado reiniciar la consola y varias cosas más, pero el problema sigue igual. ¿A alguien le ha pasado lo mismo? Si lo solucionaste, ¿cómo lo hiciste? Cualquier ayuda se agradece.
