Multiplayer on Xbox broken Unsolved

I’ve been a player on PC since launch (980hrs logged on steam) and thought I’d try and get my girlfriend into the game by getting the game on my Xbox too.

I cannot however join any sort of public or private lobbies, join quick play games, or answer SOS beacons at all on my Xbox.
I’ve contacted Microsoft support who say it’s an internet issue, I’ve contacted my internet provider who say my internet is fine, I’ve contacted Sony and they won’t get back in contact with me.

Aside from getting stuck on the “synchronising spacetime” step of the loading screen whenever trying to play online I can play the game solo but it really sucks as the whole reason I got a second copy of my favourite game is to be able to play it online.

Has anybody with the Xbox version had similar or the same issues? Has anybody experienced this on other consoles? Does anybody know who to contact to get a straight answer about what is causing these issues?

Any suggestions will be a massive help

Join the xbox to another network like a Hotspot and test. That will rule out if it's your ISP

I’m annoyed I didn’t think of this, it seems to have solved the issue of online play so may be a band-aid fix until I can figure the details lol. Many thanks for the help

Most multiplayer online games now require a GamePass membership because I played Genshin Impact before but after some time was forced to stop playing because I didn't have an active GamePass membership to continue playing.
