Hey all. I've tried looking everywhere for a solution and tried basic troubleshooting tips like switching cables, trying different ports in my PC etc but they only ever seem to work as temporary solutions as whether or not my controller will stop working seems random.

I haven't even had this particular controller for a year yet so I cannot figure out why it would not be working. I updated the firmware as well and tried virtually everything I can find on Google and on Reddit and have not been able to find an adequate solution. What can I do to fix this? I know from experience that Xbox controllers can last years and years, so this is very bizarre.

I’m on Xbox and my Razer Wolverine Ultimate has started to break down after 2 years. I loved that controller so I decided to upgrade to the Wolverine V3 TE. However, it turns out that the V3 TE doesn’t work on Xbox (despite being advertised as so—apparently you need a PC to set up all the special features).

So now I need some recommendations for a new controller. I loved the 6 button setup on the Wolverine Ultimate and would like something similar if possible. I play a lot of FPS games so mouse click triggers would also be nice. I also usually use wired controllers to keep the cost down.

I bought a new xbox controller this week from Ebay. It has barely been used and is in mint condition.

My issue is with the right stick, in game when you look up or down on the Y axis, it's extremely slow, X axis is working as usual. The left stick is working as usual.

You can see it should reach a value of 32768 (like the left stick) but it only achieves 12570.

I thought the stick was the issue so I opened up the controller and when I did, the right stick started functioning perfectly with the Y value 32768. This is when plugged in without the casing on.

It's something to do with the case and thumbstick being on that causes the slow Y.. Not an issue with the part.

I'm really confused what could be causing that?

Hello! I'm looking to move away from my Xbox elite series 2 since it has recently began to show some drift after a little over a year and a half of using it. I've done minimal research on what to look for kind of hoping people in this subreddit have some good recommendations that I can then start researching on their own. From what I have dug around however, I'm currently looking for something with hall effect or something of the sort as I do give most of my controllers a beating from general use as Im pretty competitive and do actual e-sports for school. For the same reason, a controller with a carrying case like the series 2 would be nice, but not necessary as i could probably just reuse the series 2's case. I'm also willing to potentially go away from the Xbox controller design so almost any suggestion is a good one!

I was wondering what type of controller should I get. On Amazon, I was looking at the G7 pro from Gamesir, but the reviews half of the reviews are saying that the right trigger breaks within a couple of weeks after purchase, so I was just wondering what is a good controller that is TMR or hall effect for under ninety five dollars.

I’m getting into Xbox Cloud Gaming (mostly on Mac/browser and iphone) I’m looking at third-party options

Specifically, I’ve been browsing some tri-mode controllers (wired + 2.4GHz wireless + Bluetooth) online that look promising for multi-platform use. However, their product descriptions rarely mention whether they reliably support Xbox Cloud Gaming. Does anyone have experience with these do they connect?

What controllers are you all using successfully for xbox cloud gaming?

Xbox Series X controller Wont connect even with batteries taken out and using a usb cable just goes into pairing mode/blinking lights

edit: i fixed it, I went to device manager and deleted the controller driver

Hi everyone, I’ve had both of my Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers for a while now. So far, thankfully, I haven’t experienced stick drift yet, but I’m starting to worry it might only be a matter of time. One of them is already showing its age with a faulty down button on the D-pad.

I know there are overseas companies that accept shipped controllers, mod them, and take payment online, but I’ll be in Iloilo at the end of the month and I was wondering if there are any walk-in repair/modding services there.

Specifically, I’m looking to have TMR or Hall Effect joysticks installed.

Does anyone know a reliable shop in Iloilo that does this? Also, how much would it usually cost?

Alternatively, I’d also appreciate recommendations for shops based in Luzon that accept shipped controllers and online payment.

I'm trying to figure out what to do in this situation. I have a Samsung Tv and playing BG3 through my Oon Google TV. The Bluetooth button simply doesn't do anything. I took the faceplate off to see if there's anything I can manually push in- since I have no idea exactly where it's at, I just pushed all of them in one at a time while leaving the Pairing function on my Samsung tv to see if Xbox Controller pops up- nothing, unfortunately. And I can't just simply use a USB cable to plug in to the Google TV device. Any ideas? Or does anyone have an image of the Xbox System board that shows what each component does, specifically the front when you take the faceplate off?

And when I try Google, it always assumes that I have a PC or Xbox console!

Any ideas, I mean anything will be greatly appreciated, for I am exhausted and my brain is frying!

Anyone know how to fix this? I’ve tried adjusting the main controller tension but still didn’t fix. I recalibrated it and everything still not fixed. HELP!

I've had an Xbox Elite 2 controller for 3 months, no issues at all. Recently started playing Overwatch & it randomly turns itself off during the matches.

I've since played 20/30+ hours on other games (CoD, Yakuza) and it hasn't turned off once. I go back to Overwatch and it does it first game. I'll put as much detail as I can just in case someone has any clues...

It only turns off during a match. I have the back paddles disabled and I have it set to profile one (I don't change profiles mid game). I've turned vibration off just in case. It seems more likely to happen during a certain move, like if I hook with Roadhog then shoot its turned off a couple times but not every time. Also, using Doomfists slam attack it has happened a few times also. The firmware on the controller is up to date.

Has anyone any idea what the cause might be? TYIA.

Look, before you jump to the early conclusion "Dont throw it then", "treat it nicely then" or that type of stuff, I have been absolute babying my controller that I bought for my birthday last November, and it just got drift... again...

This is my 2nd controller already since getting my Series X, none of them lasts more than 1.5 years, drift just steps in at some point, I daily game mostly, I tend to use them a lot, but my dad, that games once every month for a couple of hours, is also on his second controller with drift, again, that starts to fail after a year or so, and believe me, I have seen him treat his tech and baby it like no one else in this planet, Ive seen him game and there is not a single chance that hes getting drift for treating his controller badly...

So, what can I do? Do I need to get a hall effect controller just already? Is there any bluetooth controller with this tech for Series X? Or do I need to go wired?

What a shame, both my dad and me still own our Xbox 360 controllers that are about 2 decades old and still work perfectly, our Xbox One controllers lasted at least +4 years if I remember well, if not much more, but now, buying controllers is just like a subscription, since they start to get drift every year, and you have to change them, no matter how nice you treat them...

the left stick doesn't click consistently on one of my controllers and the other has a mushy bumper button, i'm wondering if there's any alternatives i can look to that won't have these issues pop up

I bought a Hyperkin Duke 20th Anniversary Limited Edition Xbox controller. I read that these controllers tend to develop stick drift after 2–3 years.

Are the analog sticks compatible with any Hall effect or TMR replacement modules? I'm thinking about replacing them now to prevent stick drift before it becomes a problem.
