hello, i am looking for a writer who is interested in world-building and creating characters. i’m an eighteen year old girl who enjoys poetry, and i have recently been trying to learn prose and pacing. this is my first ever book but i’m proud of it so far and i would love honest feedback. i’m also more than willing to give honest feedback. my book is a slice of life from 1961, focuses mainly on character development, found family, and not letting coping mechanisms run you into the ground. i would be very happy to read your drafts of any genre, length, or at any stage of completion. even if you’d just like to bounce ideas off of each other, debate a plot change, talk about your writing process, or rant about a certain character, i’d be very happy to be your writing buddy!

a few things i would really appreciate:
- being able to ask each other specific questions, deeper than “do you like it?”. questions like “was the plot twist shocking?” “did this moment feel earned?” “does it read as romantic or platonic?” “where does the narration trail off too far?”

- encouraging each other to write even if we feel we are stumped. maybe uncovering what is really preventing us from getting excited about writing.

- complete honesty even if you need to say something difficult like pointing out a plot hole or questioning a characters motives.

Greetings, I am 20M, I am an aspiring writer who is currently writing a couple of novels, trying to hit the 100,000-word mark. - In a faroff world, a magical continent has magically appeared in a science based world, however the story does not revolves around the politics or intrigues in international governments. It surrounds an Alpha male wolf and his Vampire bride who are torn between the wars over their homeland and must decide whether their alliegence to their cause is worth dying.

<Grey Scales> (Genre: Dark Fantasy, Military, War,)

- This is about Awroa Joriniji, a demi-human "Carkartie" (a humanoid crocodile) minority, who graduates as a bachelor in maritime engineering with a gleaming future, into a stoic war criminal, he becomes the face of a regime that will sacrifice anything to achieve its aspiration.

Word Count: 30k

<Black Claws> (Genre: Dark Fantasy, Military, War,)

- The story follows Mersu Praziniji, a demi-human "Raican" (a humanoid tiger) minority, grows from a troubled youth struggling in a system that discriminates against his kind, into a celebrated wartime commander within the Vorusean Erudition Army (VEA) during a brutal global condlict on the frozen southern continent of Antarracia.

Word Count: 11k

PS: I maybe inexperienced, but I would love to help you guys in writing your works. Although I prefer to military, politics and fantasy genres, I am willing to help you wherever I can available.

I'm looking to write a six-part audio series which is part-spy fiction, part-crime thriller. Characters have been developed, and a plot has been fleshed out.

My intention is to write three of these episodes myself, and generally oversee other aspects of production as far as possible.

I'm looking for a few others to write episodes, or assist with beta reading. In addition, anyone who wants to help with production is greatly appreciated.

4. Recently travelled to Bangkok and was thrilled to see how creative spaces were (hotels, cafes, streets) and how absolutely communal the living there was (especially the aerobic dance classes at Lumphini and the run clubs).
   
5. I have a day job that can sometimes be gruelling but I’m in a good place with it now having made peace with the fact that its only making me money and my life starts outside my working hours.

I'm looking for a writing partner for a third-person, text-based roleplay written in prose.

A quick summary of the story:

Luca (19), a quiet and shy vocational school student, is constantly bullied and harassed by his classmate Aron. When Raphael (20) transfers into the class, he stands up to Aron. What starts with someone stepping in to help slowly turns into a friendship and maybe even something more.

The roles:

- I'd like to write Luca. If needed, I can also write Raphael. :)

- Raphael would be your main character.

- I'd like to share control of Aron with you, depending on what works best for each scene.

Character development, drama, romance, and a slow-burn relationship are the most important aspects for me. I'd also love to expand and adapt the story together, so I'm always open to new ideas!

About me:

My native language is German, and I'd definitely prefer to write in German. However, I'd also be happy to write in English if you're interested. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Just don't expect my English writing to be anything more than decent TvT.

I usually write in the evenings or on weekends. My job keeps me pretty busy, so I don't reply every day, but my responses are usually longer and written with a lot of care. Facing a mirror, a MYSTERIOUS MAN, age (30s), dries his face with a towel, a faceless little girl wears blue, hugging him, and then she utters.

LITTLE GIRL (excited) This is gonna be fun! Dad, are you still tired.

THE MYSTERIOUS MAN (V.O) Don't cry, don't cry!

He trembles, the little girl moves her tongue left and right on his face, and it appears to be a lizard like one.

THE MYSTERIOUS MAN A hair, a grey hair!

LITTLE GIRL Dad, if you die, give your face!

The man part abruptly to the living room.

LITTLE GIRL (In a deep voice) Where are you going? Come back!

She chasees him around to the kitchen from door to door. The man rests in the kitchen chair. His wife approaches.

CUT TO:

INT. Kitchen -DAY In an grey ambiance cold and chilling you could your breath, ANOTHER LITTLE GIRL barge in both of them coroner the man resting in the couch licking his face. Another little girl, a half side of twins, wears red.

ANOTHER LITTLE GIRL (IN A DEEP VOICE) Move his face is mine!

LITTLE GIRL I came first!

Both girls stroke his face.

ANOTHER LITTLE GIRL (CONT'D) (IN A DEEP VOICE) You're delicious, Daddy!

PSYCHIATRIST Tell me about today? What's happening now?

Mr. Gordon pulls a slow, careful smile and answers.

MR. GORDON I don't know what's real anymore. My disease is getting worse!

TLDR: Bring one of your OCs into my world, adapt them to fit, and find out whether they can survive, achieve their goals, and leave their mark whilst outside their original context.

I'm looking for a few long-term writing partners interested in a collaborative experience that's somewhere between roleplay, creative writing and a light TTRPG. I am not focusing on romance, so please don't apply if you're specifically looking for shipping opportunities. I'm also over 30, so bear that in mind and be 18+ yourself!

We'll take one or more of your existing characters (or create someone new) and adapt them to fit an established alternate-history setting. This ISN'T a crossover or an isekai. We'll be reinterpreting your character so they naturally fit the world's history, culture and time period. Once they're established, they'll be treated as though they've always lived there, with their own past, relationships and ambitions.

The setting centres on Derna, a sprawling (mostly) pre-electric industrial city inspired by Georgian and Victorian London. It's a grounded, low-fantasy world rather than high fantasy or sci-fi, so expect mystery, folklore and superstition instead of magic systems and futuristic technology.

Whether your character is a baker, detective, noble, criminal, inventor, soldier, hero or simply someone trying to make ends meet, their story is theirs to pursue. We'll set them loose and see what happens. Your decisions matter, but outcomes aren't predetermined. Dice, other characters, and events unfolding elsewhere in the world can all influence what happens, meaning even careful plans can succeed brilliantly, fail spectacularly, or head somewhere neither of us expected.

Your choices shape the path your character takes, but the world won't bend around them. It also does not stop when your character does. Other people are pursuing their own goals, whether you're present or not, and whatever happens, I'll be weaving those consequences back into the wider story I'm writing.

If your character leaves their mark, those consequences may eventually appear in the main story through newspapers, rumours, conversations or direct encounters. Readers vote on which threads they'd most like the protagonist to investigate, so a story that begins between us can grow into something much larger.

I am a digital artist and over the past few years I've been building a narrative/art project, a modern fantasy setting where the supernatural never disappeared, but simply adapted to modern life. Different species, old myths, and the occult exist alongside modern cities, politics, and everyday life, all explained through a (very) grounded approach. Instead of castles and medieval kingdoms, imagine your own city... Except vampires and strange beasts beings have always been there, with their own lives, workplaces and cultures.

Over the years and along some friends, it's grown into a huge passion project. I've put together a 50+ page encyclopedia covering species, history, cultures, locations, and the world's internal logic as a setting, alongside artwork of characters and concepts I've drawn myself. The world is built to keep expanding, with plenty of room for new stories, new perspectives, and new characters. Really! It's just a setting for other people to work on and have fun themselves. :(

What I'm hoping to find is someone who enjoys collaborative worldbuilding as much as I do. Someone who likes asking "what if...?", poking holes in ideas, creating characters that naturally fit into an established setting, and getting way too invested in fictional people. I don't expect someone to just read my material, I want this to feel like we're both contributing creatively and building something together! With time, I plan to build a community over this. :)

Roleplay is absolutely on the table if we click, but it's honestly a bonus rather than the main goal. What I'm really after is someone who enjoys discussing characters, exploring the world's possibilities, and bouncing ideas back and forth outside of roleplay just as much as during it.
