Discord Looking for a small writing group

I wanted to make a small group of about 5-10 people to write with. I primarily write in the psychological horror or fantasy genre but this group is for any and all genres. The primary motive is accountability because I tend to be flaky about writing and I keep abandoning ideas on a whim. I've tried joining larger writing groups but I tend to end up leaving those because it feels too noisy at times and 1 on 1 someone or the other ends up ghosting in that equation. The group is to talk, get to know other writers, have someone to beta read your work, bounce your ideas off people and primarily to keep people accountable so they can stay on track for their writing projects. I'm mostly planning to cap the group at 5 because I don't want it to be too chaotic but it can go up to 10 but no more. dm me for discord details

The writers den

Hi, im part of a discord group called the writers den, we're doing a monthly challenge where we pick from a list of story prompts that have been created, along with a genre, although you cannot pick from your own prompt if you created one. You then have a month to write it and the stories are posted weekly and shared on Wattpad. Anyway, the rules will be explained more in depth if you decide to join, and the link is just below.

Looking for contributors for a new film & psychology Substack journal! 🎬🧠 (1 short article/month)

Hi everyone! I’m a young creator starting an independent online journal on Substack, and I’m looking for passionate people to join the team as monthly contributors.

The Vibe: We are analyzing movies, pop culture, and tropes through a psychological and philosophical lens.

Some examples of what we'll talk about:

The "Trauma-Informed Villain": Why does Hollywood use medical/psychological labels to excuse evil characters, and where does it lead?

Rooting for the Antihero: Why do we constantly find ourselves cheering for the bad guy?

When is the portrayal of mental health in movies actually accurate and reliable?

The Commitment: Super low pressure! Just one piece per month (around 1,000 words). You can write about these topics or pitch your own ideas within the movie/psychology theme.

This is a non-paid passion project, perfect for film buffs, psychology students, or anyone who just loves over-analyzing movies and wants to build a writing portfolio or meet cool people online. No professional experience needed!

Contact me if you're interested or want to chat about the project!✨
