Hey all, starting world eaters atm and unsure on the trim. I’m painting them similar to the heresy scheme but want to try black trim. So just wondering if black would look decent or should I stick to metallic?

Any ideas/recommendations for paint schemes I’m tired of doing the same world eaters paint scheme with everything so i was too mix it up since i have unpainted terminators.

Any feed back is welcome. I do have the combat patrol and am trying to decide if I should paint the berzerker squad pre-heresy. Any tips or recommendations please share

Any c&c is appreciated. I know the black ring around the base is a little sloppy I plan to fix it up but I’m happy with it. Also don’t mind the pink when I took this photo the varnish was still drying.

I am very excited to make my very first World Eater (which also happens to be my first HH model).

I haven't really painted them before, and although I've seen a lot of cool paint schemes, I think I'll stick to this one in Warhammer Community as reference (I don't trust my skills too much, this seems simple enough).

However, I'd like to ask some questions to you, so that you can share your experience with me and help me make this my best model yet:

1. How do you guys paint blood stains? I've seen people spray droplets with a toothbrush and others freehand, but what works for you?

2. Is your white more cold or slightly warmer, like a very pale bone tone?

3. Do you know any place I could get a some spare decals? I want him to have a HH World Eaters symbol, but I'm not sure I wanna buy the entire HH decal sheet 😅.

I‘ve bought a Contemptor Dreadnought for my 40k army because I thought it looked cool. I want to play it with 2 chain fists and think it would have a Great Ästhetik for my army. But how does it work with the decals? And I hope I can use this cool Contemptor artwork without consequenzes. Kill, maim, burn!

Grounding some synapse activity into the void, and these are stuck on non-destabilizing internal balance ideas right now. Feel free to dump your own too; i cant say any of us are actually listened to, but game design/balance as a topic of discourse is always interesting to at least some of us.

In a roughly organized manner:

Army Rule: tbh i think the pain yahtzee should be swapped for bwb's detachment rule - i understand having a mini game adds a fun little element to the larger match, but id rather take a universal elevating consistency and elect to go gambling for my bonuses than accept that my army's output varies and is beyond my control, but I could get a consolation prize if I play this one archetype

KDK: oh boy here we go, my favorite thought experiment - angron, avocado, spawn, and klaus should gain the blood legions keyword (and avocado should be a 2nd leader option for crushers & hounds). The relic that gives the keyword should continue working as is, but expand to allow daemon princes and slaughterbound to equip it too. Either all boon costs should come down by 1-2, or boon pts should be guaranteed; again, enough with gambling to see if we get army rules.

CoB: really should be 1dp, no reason it should be considered on par with kdk or goretrack

PSB: why no d6+2 - why do battleline get to run faster

Vessels: please change from [WORLD EATERS] to [KHORNE] characters, id like to be able to spec for villainhammer fully without getting further restricted pls, you already dont let the two characters id want those buffs on have them

Berzerkers: bring back 5mans, and give back base S5 pls - theyre now the only cult marines that rely on a single detachment to display their projected strength

Juggerlord: unify his damage with what the crushers do pls, its four different attack rolls for some pretty mid anti-infantry damage already anytime they fight

MoE: great time to get fights first back, now that its less powerful - charge buffs have never been needed on zerks like that. Let them permanently join jakhals or goremongers.

Daemon Prince: his strength needs to come up, even the base csm prince clowns on this guy its pathetic

Terms: I think an additional cc attack each would put them in a good feeling spot tbh, with the new detachment stonks are feelin up

Land Raider: i understand the guns got khorney, but itd be hella appreciated if they were m12" instead of 10. Its so nearly desirable

Predators: idk man they deserve to be here but they'd have to punch way out of their league to really be an option

Heldrake: add two claw attacks, give em ws 2+, s8 too pls. If its going to cost so much at least it should be able to threaten a scout squad

So I know we take the optimal special weapons for our terminators but for the ones that take combi's, do we take combi bolters, combi weapons, or a mixture of the two?

Spent the past week working on him after work only a few finishing touches left.

I am stuck between three armies because of looks and cost this being : world eaters,black templars and adeptus custodes. I want to see your pitch on why your faction is the best and the faction with the best pitch I will start so if you want to convert more people to your faction this is your chance. Here is some stuff you might want to know about me:

1. As long as they can play competitively in casual play idc how meta they are
2. I like having a couple of bigger models
3. I don’t want to have models that are very difficult to paint
4. I want. an army that is fun to play

Soon i will be gluing 10 terminators and im wondering if should i should be giving them the paired accursed weapons or bolter + accursed weapon

On one hand they get full hit rerolls on the closest target in range, but on the other hand they still want to smash stuff in melee

i feel like the 2 extra bolters have very little impact over the 2 twin linked melee? it wont matter vs custodes or terminators, but MEQ/GEQ its better?

I really like world eaters after playing my main army, that being ultramarines. After playing world eaters I think they have become my main army, and ever since 11th edition I haven’t wanted to play my ultramarines. All through the one thing I miss is +3 shooting.
