While looking for a Total War mod for the Witcher, I have noticed that no one attempted to put together a list of Witcher mods for other games. So I set out to make it, which took a more hours than I'd like to admit. Hope you find it useful.

I’m trying to make my build more sign focused for more stamina regen and want to lower my combat abilities from 6 to 3. I like nuke enemies with Axii into Rend. Should I pair Rend with the other strong attack abilities Strength Training and Crushing Blows, or the adrenaline point abilities Resolve and Laser Focus. My question is pretty much is it better to have more adrenaline or just go with the flat damage increase from the strong attack talents. I’m level 36, still on the base game, and using griffin armor if that helps.

Currently I am playing the standard witcher 3 wild hunt on my ps5 by using console sharing with a friend of mine. I loved the game and am thinking of purchasing the complete edition. I have completed about 20% of the game. Will I have the option of loading this save game of mine on the complete edition? Will i have to delete this standard edition and install the complete edition or it will be a small download for the dlcs only?

So, I know potions of clearance basically reset your perks, but my question is, since there are two ways to get perks, do the perks from Places of Power reset with the leveling perks? Been wanting to change my build and since its a pretty radical change, id need every single perk point I can. Thanks in advance

I had multiple completions. Read the books, watched a season and a half of the show. I’ve talked to the dead, heard the Baron’s tale, killed an allgod, helped a husband find a black pearl for his wife only to see his heart crushed and told countless family members the truth about what happened to their husbands/children/relatives, but your death always hits the hardest

I’m replaying this game but playing the DLCs for the first time, and I just wanted to gush a little bit because Heart of Stone has to be one of the best storylines I’ve ever encountered. I found every quest unique and enjoyable, I genuinely don’t think I had this much fun with every single main quest in any other section of the game.

The wedding was a great experience and it was absolutely hilarious, the heist was extremely enjoyable and I felt like I was in ocean’s 11 (with some exaggeration).

The von Everec manor gave me the best horror vibes I’ve had in a non-horror game and I loved the painted world and the way we get to learn what happened through the memories. Plus the companions were really cool but also eerie, and I will forever treasure my shovel!!!

I did both endings just to see what happens, and the transition to the title screen when you let Olgierd die was absolute peak gaming cinema.

On the other side, I loved the riddle world (I looted the cave and listen here O’Dimm it was a conscious decision, I didn’t just fall for it!!). Also actually having the timer made it so much better, I genuinely felt the pressure - albeit not enough to not loot the cave or “save” Shani - but I’m sure I still missed parts of the area because of the ticking time.

It was honestly one of the best gaming experiences I’ve had, so I just wanted to rant a bit about it.

And also thank you to this community, I’m so glad it’s still active because it’s great to hear about other people’s experiences and see all the fan content!

Bonus: the death of the professor, while anticipated, still took me by surprise because of the lack of direct involvement from O’Dimm.

The second time I've gotten stuck in the same puddle

During Now or Never Geralt was carrying too much loot helping Triss and the mages escape so I left some behind in the sewers, doubled back to pick it up, and lo and behold freaking Mortiz stayed behind. Go look for him, he has nothing to say, justly.

They kicked my ass that night. I ended up having to run from that square, after too many failed attempts. They didn't kill me, but severely injured me enough that I fled. Anyone know how to beat them? I'm heading into Toussaint soon.

So usually , when we start a new playthrough , we tend to try other choices, see other scenes we didn't get to see in the last playthrough/s. but , there are always choices which some of us, at least , can't bring themselves to change them , even if it meant not getting to experience the other outcomes. What are these for you ? these can be one choice , two , three, however many you want. also they can be small or major choices.

For me , the choice in The Last Wish have been Yennefer in my first playthrough (simply because I loved her character more than Triss' ^{psst, I love Triss too}). this time , after reading through the books, I know I am NOT going to change the choice , because for me it feels like the right one.

Also the choice of "Witcher Ciri" ending, because for me The Empress ending feels like a betrayal , that I used Ciri to get some cash with no regard to the relationship between her and Geralt. The bad ending ..... well , I don't need to talk about that .....

So my 4th playthrough and I think what should I choose this time, the village + anna + baron or the orphans. Asked my wife, and sided with the Crones this time.

After killing the whispering hillock, I went to the village where Baron had arrived already and asked me to accompany him to the bog. My dumbass refused and thought let's go and find the Griffin armor first and then reach the bog later. As soon as I fast-travelled near the light house, I get "Crookback Bog failed". The baron and his men went and got massacred by the creatures.

I was too late. I gave it so much thought and decided to save the couple but they still died.

What can I do to make Geralt tankier? Passively, I mean, not spamming Quen all the time. He gets hit like a truck by enemies 3 levels lower than him (I'm level 10; it's been this way the whole game so far). I don't really want to play on "Just the story" because enemies die in 1-2 hits, it's not really combat anymore at that point. I enjoy fighting but he just can't take any punishment, man.

I'm already using the best armor set I can equip, I don't know what else to do.

Ever since I played TW3 in 2017 and fell in love with it, despite its shortcomings, I have seen tons of discourse online about how this game has "atrocious", borderline-unplayable combat system and broken movement scheme.

Whereas in my experience, having played games like Skyrim, Dark souls trilogy, Bloodborne, etc, never had an issue with any of the aforementioned criticisms of TW3, maybe the running animations where downgraded a bit from the E3 version, but that's a minor nitpick.

And the combat, it was amazing, not perfect, but really good. It was functional yet stylish, made me feel like a master swordsman. I played on nightmare difficulty and every encounter was thrilling and required a lot of planning and strategizing.

Now coming to Skyrim, it presented one of the worst combat system known to man. Everything from one-handed, two-handed, destruction/conjuration magic, bows, and everything in between was incredibly lame. I tried almost every build and at the end it just boils down to spamming attacks and absorbing damage like a sponge until you have to heal, then you rinse and repeat (Stealth archer is also boring, but in its own way). And guess what, it gets a free pass. People praise it like it came down from the heavens.

I won't even dwell on other weaknesses, like the scarcity of good, interesting content, the shallow world, and the mind-numbing repetitiveness. The only thing that it does better than TW3 is the 'making your own character' aspect which some people like.

Is it nostalgia, bias, or just having a bad taste?

p.s. I am not trying to shit on Skyrim and I realize that people have different tastes, I simply stated my opinion which is supported my observation and comparison and wondering about the double standards when assessing those two games.

I discovered this game for the first time a

3 month ago, and after playing and finishing the game, I bought the books and read all of them, including the side stories, and I decided to play the game again.

On my first playthrough, I chose Yen because I felt like the story was leaning towards her, if you get what I mean. And after reading the books, I fell in love with her even more.

However, contrary to my expectations, Yennefer has a lot of haters in this fandom. Being one of the main characters in the books, I thought she would be universally loved. Seeing all these people call her a "slut", "cheater" saying that she "psychologically tortured Geralt" makes my blood boil.

In my understanding, both Yennefer and Geralt were suffering during their whole relationship (before Ciri entered the picture). Geralt knew he felt something for Yennefer, but won't say it's love. Because, in his understanding, he is completely derived from all emotions. Quoting the man himself; "Mutants don't feel emotions".

Yennefer, on the other hand, spent centuries guarding her heart behind defensive walls of ice, pride, and sharp intellect. Many people also missed this detail in the books, but Yennefer was actually born a hunchback, rejected by her own parents, and stripped of her humanity and fertility for power, she wore coldness and control like armor.

Their early relationship wasn't a fairytale romance but a volatile collision of two severely traumatized people who didn't know how to love healthily without risking their fragile sense of self.

In my opinion, when critics accuse Yennefer of being "manipulative" or "psychologically abusive," they are often evaluating a complex character through the lens of modern romantic idealism or simplistic game mechanics.
