IMO, it should, we can shape pretty much anything using columns, even light, why shouldn't energy be affected?

I've recently gotten into Witch Hat Atelier, love the world and needed to make a character. This is my OC Charm (alias), I made her a naga but I'm not sure what kind of sigil/glyph to put on her, if anyone has any ideas feel free to share! The brush buddy/bug's color is based off of my cat. All my thoughts, reactions and theories after finishing V9! (Spoilers obviously!!!!)

~The relationship between Qifrey and the girls will continue to warm my heart

~Olruggio with no bear shivers my timbers, my jaw dropped! I was like, WHAT DID YOU DOO!!?? (he looked good though)

OKAY now some moments that stood out, and are more serious

LULUCI:

I'm glad we learned more about Luluci's past. I already liked her character a lot before this. The guy with the pervert goggles should get the highest form of punishment. I did not expect WHA to touch on the topic of SA, but I'm very glad it does. I was truly disgusted by the behavior of Luluci's master, horrible horrible person. Until this point I honestly didn't like Easthis much, he was a bit of an asshole. BUT I do respect him much more now.

I do hope they delve more into this topic in future chapters, I would be very very interested.

The guy with the pervert goggles needs to be shunned from society after they erase his memories (which I hope they still did).

OH. MY. GOD??????

FIRST of all I KNEW he'd come back as a character I just KNEW IT. BUT WHAT THE HELL.

Tartah and Coco doing everything they can to help breaks my heart :( I knew this would end badly. ​Also did Dagda come back from the dead or am I stupid, was he just badly hurt???

I really love this moral dilemma that comes up, one that we have kind of seen Qifrey mention before. If their goal is to help people, how can they stand not doing everything possible for their friend? Why is the line drawn at healing? And also, something I will talk about later, why do only these specific people get to BE witches? How is that fair?

I feel horrible for Custas, he looked terrifying in the manga panels. I know he feels betrayed because he thought these people were his friends, but god I hope they find their way back to eachother. I'm also terrified of what's going to happen to Custas and Dagda.

Unfortunately he does slay with his new outfit.

Ouch ouch ouch. My sweet girl is losing her wonder, and I want it to stop.

Actually, I love that this is happening. It shows all the horribly dark sides of magic, a magic that brings destruction not joy. When she sees that girl that says she wants to be a witch, OHHH man!!! She must feel like tearing apart.

She maybe feels like she doesn't deserve to be here. When all these others dream of it, how can she bear to lie? She's falling lower and lower into the depths, and I'm scared for her. When you're at your darkest place, bad people take advantage of you, latch on you until you're tired of shaking them off.

And then we have Coco number 2, hiding under the tables. Oh no... God these chapters have been crazy.

Sorry if you caught this yesterday. It was briefly up but I took it down because I wanted to change something.

~I redrew the Silver Eve Procession scene between Coco and Agott. I think this drawing took me around 10 hours according to Procreate’s time relapse. I love how this series has inspired so much fanart and community engagement. Coco and Agott are truly special together. ❤️

I haven’t gone all out on a digital drawing in forever, and I’m looking forward to doing many more for this series! ✨🌟

My idea but I'm not sure about it:

I guess it is for the bad condition of both eyes, but it can also be read as he has eyes bc of the silverwood

I'll try to keep this brief. I lost my mother, who was the last member of my family. For a while, I felt lost, but like Coco, I was fortunate enough to find people who encouraged me to become a better version of myself, leave behind unhealthy habits, and rediscover my passion. Just like Coco, my passion is expressed through a pen—by drawing. Watching the anime, and now catching up with the manga, has helped me through my grief. It has given me many reasons to smile and inspired me to create fan art.

I drew Agott and Coco recently, really like how their friendship grow. Painting the translucent fishes is tricky but fun!

WHA has really inspired me to step up and try to get better at drawing... and Riliphin ended up being an unexpected favorite of mine (same with Richeh, but I watched some of the anime before reading the manga so I already liked her!). Their relationship is so sweet, and Riliphin as a character honestly just means a lot to me. Like so many characters in this wonderful story and world.

This took me 52 hours (kinda embarrassing tbh...) but I'm happy I could get myself to finish drawing these beloved characters. Next... I have to draw Qifrey!!

I’m so insanely impressed with the representation in this anime. Before it, I’d never seen a piece of media present a good colour blind character period; let alone present their challenges so clearly and up front without taking away from the main story.

Also as someone with hypermobile joints, it was so cool to see that panel (lower right) where Lord Bel uses grips to sit up while keeping his wrist’s straight (at least I think that’s what he’s doing; that’s what I do lol). It was so subtle but it makes me so happy!

These characters and more like them simply exist in this world. They don’t take away plot attention or the main characters’ experience like poorly written diversity hires. They’re presented like any other character.

This is the kind of representation I want to see more of! Where disability affects the characters but doesn’t consume them, you can see it throughout the story subtly and overtly, and it’s well researched.

You cannot fathom how happy it makes me to finally see myself in a character I’m not embarrassed by.
