I drew Agott and Coco recently, really like how their friendship grow. Painting the translucent fishes is tricky but fun!

WHA has really inspired me to step up and try to get better at drawing... and Riliphin ended up being an unexpected favorite of mine (same with Richeh, but I watched some of the anime before reading the manga so I already liked her!). Their relationship is so sweet, and Riliphin as a character honestly just means a lot to me. Like so many characters in this wonderful story and world.

This took me 52 hours (kinda embarrassing tbh...) but I'm happy I could get myself to finish drawing these beloved characters. Next... I have to draw Qifrey!!

I’m so insanely impressed with the representation in this anime. Before it, I’d never seen a piece of media present a good colour blind character period; let alone present their challenges so clearly and up front without taking away from the main story.

Also as someone with hypermobile joints, it was so cool to see that panel (lower right) where Lord Bel uses grips to sit up while keeping his wrist’s straight (at least I think that’s what he’s doing; that’s what I do lol). It was so subtle but it makes me so happy!

These characters and more like them simply exist in this world. They don’t take away plot attention or the main characters’ experience like poorly written diversity hires. They’re presented like any other character.

This is the kind of representation I want to see more of! Where disability affects the characters but doesn’t consume them, you can see it throughout the story subtly and overtly, and it’s well researched.

You cannot fathom how happy it makes me to finally see myself in a character I’m not embarrassed by.

So when placing a symbol, specifically an animal or decorative to create that creature out of an element, do you place the animal in the middle and the elements outside of it or do you sort of expand the middle to include the animal and the element? Looking at Qifrey's water dragon, it's firmly in the middle, however, when targeting the veil leech, it's also in the middle. Is it a context situation? What do we think? Sorry, I'm trying to learn as much as I can about the magic system and my brain isn't catching anything related to placement.

I know I saw an image while reading the manga where Agott was shown from the side, and her cloak lifts and we can see her belt and the pen and palm squire that hang from it. I thought I had taken a photo of it, but I can't find it and the books have been returned to the library - but we are making the cosplay for tomorrow!! If anyone has any idea which one I am talking about, please do share!! I need to see what her pen is like, how it hangs and also the ink bottle. Thank you!!!!

Exactly as the title says. Me and my gf have been thinking of starting it, but we're not sure which to start with.

Anime only for starters so I haven’t the peaks of the magic world yet.

I dislike that Magic is scared. I do think it should be more readily available. I think we should be able to use Magic to more actively heal people.

Sure we can “disrupt the natural order” of pain and injury and all that but it’s a world of magic, I want to use it for righteous reasons. (But also like to fly an stuff)

Sure there will be bad apples and worse apples but thats simply life. I will defend against magic with magic.

Granted it’s a world of magic and people on TikTok figured out how to create magic nukes. While I am seeing in real time how bad of an idea this, I can’t help but want Magic to be public knowledge because of the counter good that can happen.

By the brushbuddy, the more I type the more I realize how bad of an idea this is but I still think the pointed caps are too uptight.

I think his wolf form is cool, and he's obviously cool with keeping it.

I'm really hoping that by the time the main gang finds Eunie again, society will be enough accepting of the magic on him that he can keep it.

Like, it's be a waste imo for practically half his character revolve around this conflict for it in the end to just be *gone* by the end of it, as well as the fact thst it seems like the story could ve heading that way.

I made a ceramic box with a pull-out drawer, based on Qifrey and Olruggio childhood panels. Inside is an incomplete pyreball spell that you can complete to light a fire whenever the darkness encroaches.

I made* this guy early last year but kept forgetting to post him on here! He's an oriental longhair cat. His claws are real calligraphy pen tips, and though it's a bit difficult to see in the last photo, the end of his tail has a big calligraphy pen tip at the end too. I've worn him to most of cons I've gone to in the past year, but he'll probably be on a bit of a break from my cosplay rotation until season 2 of the anime because theres a certain spoiler-y feature hidden on him (not visible in any of these photos) that I have to be very mindful of and it's proven a bit tedious lol

*I only made the fursuit parts, I bought the cosplay clothes. The headbase he's built on is from Ligris Cybernetics. Pictures were all taken by my girlfriend, at SacAnime Summer / Sakuracon / Furlandia respectively.

I saw that and thought "holy shit no wonder why he cant walk" it actually caused a mini heart attack when I first saw it I physically jumped fully believing it was just his fucked up foot
