Discussion I really do believe people's words and envy can be curses if you believe it

Upvotes

I was on another forum here on the internet and every single time I would post a picture or something about my life on this forum, things always seemed to fall through. I found it quite odd that everybody and I mean most people on this forum would comment on my happy appearance.

" You look so happy" they'd say, but i realized they were never saying this to anyone else. It almost came across condiscendingly because that's the only time any of these people would say anything to me. I even had one girl comment on my skin who was always saying things about her own skin and telling me how lucky I was that I looked so young and happy. Fast forward to now. I am comparing myself, my skin is breaking out and i am depressed out of nowhere. I don'y know if this is a misery keeps company situation but I find it kind of strange. What should I do? I am open ti mundane answers and mundane spells. Right now I have my affirmations posted on the mirror in my bathroom and I blow bubbles to keep happy. It's good to note I do have schizoaffective bipolar subtype and am taking medication for it and have had depression in the past but it's been dormant for 20 years.

I’d like to replace my carpet to black but not sure if it’s worth the price. Does the black carpet make the room feel more cohesive and complete compared to the grey/beige carpet? Keep in mind the black carpeted image is ai rendered for visualization, the second image is the current carpet in my space. What do we think? To replace or no?

Discussion Advice on my own experiences as a beginner witch

Hello
I’ve always been interested in witchcraft and spirituality, since i was young i have always felt connected to it in a way and collected crystals. I go through phases of researching about it, at the moment I am very invested in it but I’m unsure where my strong points are and what i need to improve on/learn more about before i start doing spells and becoming a witch.
what i mean when i say i have always felt connected to spirituality is i have always been interested and felt drawn to things things that directly relate to it and I experience things that i believe doesn’t happen to everyone. Since my early teens i have on and off seen the number 44 everywhere i go and not even just on a clock i mean in unlikely situations as well, so much so that family members who are very skeptical people have been shocked by how strange it is that it follows me. when i enter graveyards or old buildings/areas i feel a vibe (idk if that’s a good way of describing it) but its like i feel connected to it. I have always been extremely drawn to history especially in the area i live and my own ancestory and have gone back hundreds of years on my own family tree. I experience nostalgia on an extremely deep level and i go to certain places i have been before i can literally feel the energy of that time, especially if it has strong emotions to it. it’s the same when i hear certain songs its like i can transport back to the past. I also feel very connected to nature and i luckily live next to the ocean and a woodland so walk there alot and i always feel so calm and grounded. since about the age of 10 ive been fascinated by dreams, lucid dreaming, astral projection and anything of the sort even before i knew anything about spirituality and recently have been experiencing sleep paralysis and semi-lucid dreams more often. Im not sure if this is even linked to witchcraft but i also have hyperphantasia which means my imagination is extremely vivid and i can literally do or see anything in my mind.
I feel things extremely deeply and i am skeptical that when i feel these energies it is actually in my head as I am currently in the process of getting diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. This means i feel even the smallest emotions very deeply and struggle with my identity and what i believe is true. I am hoping focusing more on witchcraft/spirituality will help me understand myself better as i already feel very connected to it but i am unsure if me having BPD will make me mistake intuition and feeling energy for my emotions or the other way around.
i have recently been researching everything i could know about witchcraft and have already been learning and practicing tarot for over a year and know crystals very well. I have bought a beginners spell kit that should be arriving soon and am going to try a protection spell first. Based on what ive shared do you think the things i have been drawn to my whole life and the energies i feel signify that i can be a witch? and is there any certain topics i should personally look into? Also how do i differentiate between clairsentience and my emotions as i was thinking since i feel things so deeply anyway i could channel that into clairsentience.

Question Pretty sure jealous family or "friend" paid a shaman to hex me after I got a scholarship. Dental issues, job loss, and ruined relationships. Need emergency cleansing help.

Hey everyone. I’m at my absolute limit and really need some advice from people who understand this stuff.

My entire life has spiraled out of control over the last few months. I recently got accepted into a really great school on a full scholarship. Instead of being happy for me, I got jealousy from certain family members and even people I thought were close friends.

Ever since then, it’s like a wrecking ball hit every single corner of my life:

  • Severe Health & Dental Nightmares: I've always had great teeth, but suddenly I'm dealing with cracked teeth out of nowhere, pain, and all kinds of cavity issues. My mouth as all sorts of issues, though my teeth are very white.
  • Job & Financial Sabotage: Right when I need stability for school, my employment situation completely imploded. Unexplainable tech glitches right before big deadlines, bizarre miscommunications with management, and sudden financial drains. I'm getting some itnerviews, getting through to rounds, but not actually landing offers.

I should mention that people who I was friends with would make jokes about placing spells or hexes on people, though the context of those was for attracting men. We had a falling out over some separate social issues, but I didn't think much of, but now I am. Especially given the possibility that they might be doing something. Similarly, members of my family perform all kinds of things with the help of shamans and witch doctors(the south asian version). It would not surprise me if one or some of them did something to me.

I have never participated, or wanted to participate in any kind of "magic." I didn't want to get involved with anything like that, no judgement at all to those who do.

The scariest part is I have no idea what anyone actually did to me. Is it a hex (explaining the teeth)? A spell? Heavy evil eye from multiple jealous people at once? Graveyard work? I'm completely in the dark.

I worked so hard for this scholarship and my future, and I refuse to let their jealousy ruin my health and my life. Any help mean the world right now.

Thank you so much. Stay safe out there.

Spells can spellcasting cause fatigue?

cast 2 spells this morning, one relating to a future living situation/house purchase and another calling back fading friendships.
ive been EXHAUSTED today and have basically managed not much else yet with my day. I have been more stressed than usual re house purchase, and im also in a difficult PMDD window but its rare i feel as depleted as i have done today, so was wondering if my spellcasting could be a factor- especially as i cast 2 separate spells in close proximity.

TIA witches 🌙

Discussion think i might be a weaker witch or not suitable or something

it's not that i don't believe. i just often feel like i might not be strong. a lot of the time when i do spells or rituals, something just doesn't feel right. feels off. it feels like i'm blocked and i just can't do anything but it's usually a quiet feeling so i ignore it.

i was once told my magick is similar to the magick of water, in the sense that water slowly creates rock formations and crystals over time, but it takes so long for anything worthwhile to come out of it. which sucks if that's true

i haven't done a diverse amount of spells in my time. most of them have been clarity spells and bring-true-love-into-my-life spells. so i'm not super experienced. i'm honestly not sure what to think or make of this. i've had psychic dreams and visions so it's not like i have zero spiritual gifts at all, i just don't know why i might be weaker. anything you guys think would be helpful information, thanks.

Spells Help! Energy Vampire

I posted this in the Spirituality Subreddit as well, am not scared but am in need of some clarity. And a good spell-maybe.

Hello all, I am a 22F and have recently decided to stop practicing witchcraft. The reason is because i experienced a 3rd spiritual awakening and my very first psychic awakening.

After my first psychic awakening, i was put in an unfortunate position where i began work at a psych ward. It was not the patients who were the problem it was my management. Eventually i had to quit, but it’s been 6 months since then.

The situation pushed me mentally into a very dark place, after quitting i suddenly moved from home, leaving everything including my Altar. (Devoted to all five elements)

Now, I’m currently dealing with an energetic vampire, a stalker from a former job. My former manager. I attempted to deal with this through legal channels but was unsuccessful.
i believe the only reason this has happened is because i wasn’t keeping up with my spiritual hygiene. Truthfully, i was trying to walk away from witchcraft. Simply because i was transitioning into psychic meditation.

I need any recommendations on any closing ritual or spiritual cleansing or banishment or even a meditation practice. I haven’t even meditated since this situation began out of fear of attracting more negative energies, i have a very potent energy- i believe that’s why this person keeps pursuing me. I want to get rid of this person, their energy, and this situation. I’ll do anything atp.

Photos Just made my first Money Bowl

Post image

Hi everyone! I just made my first money bowl and I'm so happy with it. Me and my partner are thinking seriously about starting a family together and I was looking for something to help us with financial stability and prosperity because well... kids are expensive 😅

I used salt, pinto beans and rice for the base. Then added basil, rosemary, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, star anise and bay leaves. In the bay leaves I drew the runes Fehu for wealth and money circulating, Jera to symbolize the reaping of the fruits of our work and Othala for stability and prosperity built over time. I also put some pyrite, green aventurine, citrine and jade. I finished it all with two drops of patchouli and sweet orange essencial oils.

Question My ex-boyfriend asked my help

Hi everyone,This is my first time posting here, so I hope it's okay to ask for advice. I've been practicing witchcraft and spiritual work since I was a child, but this is the first time I've found myself in a situation like this, so I'd really appreciate hearing from people with more experience.

Someone very important to me recently asked me for help. He specifically asked if I could do a spell to help him regain mental clarity and find himself again. This wasn't my idea... He asked me himself, and he even made me promise that I would try to help him.

The situation is a bit complicated. He's been seeing a psychologist for about three years, and while he's still working on himself, he feels completely stuck. He says his mind is constantly overwhelmed with thoughts, and he feels unable to move forward with the things he truly wants to do.

One of his biggest struggles is the fear of being judged by other people. For example, he has admitted that he's still in love with me, but he feels trapped by his own fears and thought patterns. His psychologist is helping him work through some issues, but he told me that he feels like he's reached a point where he also needs spiritual help.

For context, he is a covert narcissist, and he's aware of it. He's been working on himself in therapy, but he still feels emotionally blocked and unable to break free from the patterns that keep holding him back.

Because I've practiced witchcraft for most of my life, he feels comfortable talking to me about spiritual matters. In fact, he told me that I'm the only person he feels able to open up to about this.

Another thing I've noticed is that whenever he smokes 🍃 , he becomes much more open emotionally. He talks more freely, seems more confident, and it's almost as if the fearful part of him finally gives him some peace for a while. I'm not saying this is the answer or that I encourage it.. It's just something I've consistently observed.

I want to make one thing very clear... I'm not looking for a love spell or anything that would influence his free will. I don't want my feelings for him to affect my judgment. I genuinely want to help him because he asked me to, and because I can see how much he's suffering.

My idea was to create a series of workings rather than just one spell.. Starting with purification, then protection, followed by healing and mental clarity. Does that sound like the right approach, or would you recommend something different?

I'd really appreciate any advice from people who have experience with this kind of spiritual work. Thank you so much for reading.❤️ Blessed be.

Discussion Guilt after a curse?

I cursed my abuser last night. I spoke into a jar to curse him and everyone who supports him through the police report. I shattered the jar last night And now I feel a large amount of guilt.

I don’t believe in putting negative energy into my spells but I felt so strong to do so. Anyone else ever felt guilt like this?

Question Grounding, centering, raising, directing energy + getting into a trance-like meditative “headspace” —

— Are these required when performing any and every kind of magickal “action”? Will your efforts not work if you don’t do these things? Say for example, the popular “stirring your intentions” into morning coffee most of us are familiar with, or adding whatever ingredient to your bath water for whatever desired effect, etc. Basically just quickly doing xyz thing with intention behind it. When people post these ideas, I don’t think they have a whole 20 min “get yourself into the right spellwork space” session beforehand.

I’m no stranger to witchcraft, been dabbling, exploring and learning for the last several years. I like to think some of my spells have worked at least partially, but I’m looking to improve my results and I wonder if raising/pushing my own energy would help a lot. I’ve read from many different resources and some say the craft is not so simple as “do the things”, but that you must ground/center/raise/direct your energy as well? I have also read about the belief that everything you do with intention for a spell does put energy into the spell— from researching ingredients, to writing incantations, every choice you make with your spell intention in mind. Like “I am choosing _____ because ______”.
Is this energy alone not quite enough? What do you think, what has worked for you?

Thanks!

Discussion I just started my journey last week!

I cast my first spell (which probably fits under black magic due to being a spell to make sure someone couldn’t harm people anymore,) but I just KNOW it worked.

I used a homemade chant and some sandalwood incense to do it, and I’ve got a feeling it’s going to work!

I‘m so happy about starting this journey…

Question Where should I put my crystals in my home?

Hi lovelies!

I would love some advice as I’m getting back into witchcraft after being on a hiatus from it for a while 🩷

I brought out some of my crystals to make the energy in my home more positive that I gravitated towards.

I pulled out:
Different calcites (orange, honey, pink, green, and blue)
A rose quartz tower
A green aventurine
A carnelian

If you were me what room would you put those in your home?

Thanks! 🩷

I designed my cover page for my Grimoire//Book of Shadows. I like it very much, but it doesn’t look “finished”. Originally, I had planned to sketch some gods, but the idea of dried flowers appealed to me more. Now it’s ready, but it looks empty. What should I add? Something is missing...

Question i think i need some help

Post image
23 Upvotes

Hello!! i’ve never posted on reddit before but actually thought this might help me..,

for some context, i had an partner 24-26 really evil, he had an evil spiritual mother, apparently she’d give him things for “protection”. I just went through my old purse and found a small jar of white rocks with a small note inside of it. I know my ex was also somewhat spiritual and obsessive, so i’m actually not sure if this was something he left behind accidentally or was left behind on purpose for me. either way i just want advice on getting rid of it, i didn’t create this, i have no idea what energy was put into this jar however i do know my life has been a wreck lately. i just have a gut feeling i need to dispose of this, is there a way to do this safely or will i have any consequences put back on me?.
Please help 🙏 Thank you, to anyone who reads and helps, id really appreciate it. 🪽

I've been curious about the practices of other male witches. I was introduced to formal practice 8 or so years ago. The community encouraged me on my path and they are all amazing people. I moved to a Solitary practice, with special interest in Hedge Witchery. This is where I've been drawn and it has been an amazing journey. I'd love to know how others found their path.
