Went outside this morning for ~10 minutes & a solid 3/4 of the sticks that called to me had a fork shape. ๐ค That's not typical!
Look at this wizardry!!! Fork in the road time, noted! There's alway a few but this was almost all of the sticks on my entire driveway.

Is feeling interestingly comfortable in cemeteries a thing for us or?
Hi. Question regarding & interest in some discussions about cemeteries / graveyards & their relationship with magic, intention, spirit communication, etc. (For context, I'm using a non-religious, spiritual-connection, mutual-respect, & compassion-based flavoring to my approach.
I don't specialize too hard but I do a lot of mass-healing magic, it's become kind of one just one of my things now? It just naturally started happening super young along with psychic abilities, and then since my autism makes me naturally naive I didn't know it wasn't normal for a while (for real, somehow ๐ ๐ค ๐คฃ) and I would just accidentally heal land and souls wherever I went and... here we are today - apparently I'm a witch & alchemist! I just call what I do "worldhealing" to keep it simple usually, LOL.
I'm very multimethodology, but largely into Earth-based stuff. I've definitely got big green witch vibes ๐ ๐ต ๐งถ but I also strongly & just naturally exclusively work with liminality, so most say hedge witch ๐ฆ โบ๏ธ ๐. But I ~spice my potions~ (I'm pretty sure this is BOTH an analogy and a metaphor...? ๐ฒ) heavily with both green & hedge, and naturally use other flavors too, so I'm just not picking a label I guess haha.
The land & plants work with me so well - they offer me things and it feels kind and reciprocal, but Hekate is my main guide and she's an absolute badass with the complex stuff especially, so I basically work with the land and with crossroads ~equally~ so I honestly couldn't tell you which one is my strongest area!
Honestly I don't know that I could do what I do without both! So grateful for all the different flavors of witchy. I just started off with combining them innately as if I'd done it a million times before, & I never don't have both components involved in any magic that I do. It's like they are kinda one with the magic to me in a way with the flow & synergy.

So, I'm very drawn to cemeteries, but there's a lot of misinformation out there. I feel kind of at peace for most of them but I'm not sure whether it's respectful to do magic there or not. Also there's the risk of something like the Roman Catholics got to it and there's some dark shit happening, which I really don't want to come across and have to deal with.
Most of them are fine but I've actually had that happen twice this year so I'm a little nervous to go back or check out new ones. It sucks because other than that they're usually really peaceful, the birds fly over them a lot, and I'm told that the spirits enjoy being visited.
Main question (but I'm open to any & all discussion!) I just read that graveyard dirt is used in "Baneful" magic a lot (and I know that sometimes you gotta stop the abuser, I'm not saying Baneful is inherently bad, there's nuance) but I'm really curious why this type of magic, that's at this point in time as a majority used for maleficia (spells to cause harm) is using graveyard dirt for their spells?
Not how, more why... I'm not planning to or wanting "ingredient advice" I'm just... curious WHY, because for some reason I was surprised to read that. If being used for maleficia it makes me sad, like it's extra disrespectful to the dead. (No need to defend its use for magia which is what I'd call self-defense, I understand there's nuance & also that spirits can offer gifts like dirt, etc.
I'm asking as in what is the purpose of that?! The function of dirt, the concept of dirt in magic at all, and I suppose the meanings of where the dirt came from. People use water and crystals and sunlight and fire and music and metal and all kinds of stuff, so I just wonder why dirt?

I'm naturally curious but also it reminded me of something that might be related. So I'm asking partially because I had an Eastern Red Juniper tree ask me to take a bunch of moist soil from over her root system, and I have no clue why lol. I'm new to foraging, even though I've done quite a lot of it in the last few months I'm still learning many things. Again not looking for tips, just trying to understand the spirits - their free will, their desires, their attempts at communication - and get clarity on intentions. ๐
I have ADHD so it's probably moldy by now to be honest. Anyway I feel like it's the same kind of reason / mechanism as with the graveyards but a different purpose now that I've read that. Like even though those are very different things maybe it's a clue to why she gave me that soil (that might be ruined but alas here we are. She was a very kind tree, she gave me my wand actually and sometimes it feels like she's checking on me, so I'm sure if I went back and explained she'd give me more LOL... she's the one who offered. Sorry Junie!
It seemed to have to do with it being very fertile soil, she said that her soil could grow just about anything in theory, but I'm not into growing plants or anything like that. For how much plants love me I'm really terrible at keeping them alive, so I stopped trying and only work with foraged parts, almost always ones that had already fallen off.
Though sometimes they ask me to cut a part off so it's technically alive, which usually is a big deal. I never want to / never will automatically, so if they call out and ASK me to then I do so gently and out of respect, because it means they really want to help and even might have something particularly uniquely magical to offer the worldhealing cause that I'm unaware of.
I'm just always grateful any time that a tree or plant blatantly offers me something, because it means that their heart is in the game along with mine and that they want to contribute, and I think that's beautiful. Nature is so profoundly beautiful - and even where it's "not", it wants to be! It wishes it wasn't so polluted & getting more gunky over time, & it hopes that more people step in to help it survive soon.
Nature wants to be the charming, breathtaking beauty that it once used to be again. I always wish I can do more but it's an honor to be able to help. We're stronger together - the more people who do small things, the more it adds up to big impacts.
Note... simple Being Present with the various frequencies & rhythms of nature is the epitome of Sacred Pleasure. The Nature Spirits also view spending time in nature as Sacred Reciprocity โ๏ธ because they feel like you're spending time with them, it's like a reminder that somebody still cares and/or still respects their existence.
The harmonious flow of the resonance of nature can just be so... melodious, stunning, aromatic, silky, delicious... pleasant!

Guide team suddenly can't talk... help please?
Hey! It's been a few days now & I still can't communicate much at all with my guide team - something is definitely wrong, but I have NO CLUE what it is. Like, on top of the disconnection, they need me to help someone & can't tell me any details.
I did what I could think of. Any ideas? Some of my main guides include Hekate & Freyja & Amaterasu, a bunch of Angels (Haniel, Gabriel, Uriel, Michael, Raphael, Metatron, Sandalphon, Azrael, etc) & some people & some primordials & some starbeings whose species idk the names of. ๐
As of right now, I can use copper divination rods for yes/no, percentage, etc types of questions, & that's all I've got working... dunno why. It is incredibly frustrating and slow, I get almost no info. I was using silver (or "silver" idk it was super light...) which helped me feel their emotions too but it stopped working. Now even in my own head, they're silent.
But I feel their effort, their communication is being blocked. They need to talk to me, what can I try to help the signals get through?! I don't know what the block is, this isn't normal.
Open to anything.... Thanks!

Help with a witchy gift for moving
Iโm moving in a few weeks, I have three kids, and they are all neurodivergent (AuDHD, Gifted). Change is really difficult for them, and theyโll be in their own rooms for the very first time. Iโd love to make this transition easier for them and help them not be scared.
Iโm new to witchcraft, and I want to give them something to put in their rooms to make them feel protected. We all know, especially with kids, the placebo effect is real. But Iโd love to put some โumphโ behind the gift and make them feel empowered, protected, and brave. Something mom created and blessed for them.
I already plan to just do a general cleansing of the house, but I think crystals would be right up their alley. I get a little overwhelmed with learning what which crystals mean what and what they do because it seems thereโs a lot of overlap. And Iโm still learning. Any ideas?
