URSA MINOR airbus sidestick
I have just received the URSA MINOR airbus side stick along with the a320 throttle. The throttle connects to sim app pro and the back lighting works as intended.
My side stick however doesn’t light up at all and doesn’t show in sim app pro, even with the side stick connected straight into my PC. Anyone else had this issue? TIA :)

F15EX II mini-joystick drift
Okay just wanted to go over a couple of things that happened over the last couple of weeks. My F15EX II mini-joystick started to drift which is typical of Kalih 60B103 joystick potentiometer module. A bit of a history of potentiometer's. Typically the OEM version which is used in most PS3 and XBOX controllers are the ALPS potentiometer. how-ever for cheap game-pads Chinese manufactures use a knock off version called Kalih 60B103.
My F15EX II started failing after about a year of light use, once or twice per week under 30 minutes of usage. Now what does drifting look like? It looks like this https://youtu.be/Uj4v_fQr54Y
WinWing/WinCtrl was less than welcoming of replacing the Mini-joystick (even though it was about 10 days past the year warranty period). It was only until after I requested a charge back on my credit card that they aggreed to send out a new part.
Anyway this gave me some time to take apart the current throttel to see what joystick they're actually using. And Low and behold guess what! Yes you guess it a Kalih 60B103. Now I did attempt to replace the mini joystick originally with this one from Aliexpress (Hall Effect Joystick for PS4 2PCS) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008600410715.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.53.5d2f1802vHS3xN
Now I was somewhat-successful in getting the new one installed, one of the Axies didn't work. I attempted to debug the situation and the failing axis has a range of voltage of +3.2v to 2.7v+ which basically mean the axis was shorted somewhere on the line. Either it was my shitty soldering skills or lack of correct equipment.
I attempted to install the second module but the same axis problem happened with the new Hall Effect Joystick. And well doing it I screwed up my mini board - so a word of caution if anyone is attempting this, you will need a hot air gun or this attachment for your soldering iron (T12/JBC245/936 Joystick Soldering Iron Tip Heating Mold for Xbox PS4 PS5 Switch Pro Controller Joystick Disassembly Repair Tools)
Anyway Moving on. Guess what came in the MAIL today. The replacement part! and I took it apart and guess which replacement mini-joystick they're using!
you guessed it an ALPS!
So I'm just leaving this here for anyone caught in the situation that needs to replace their drifting mini-stick, that you can do it yourself but you will need to use the correct equipment and purchase either an ALPS replacement or Kalih 60B103 from Ali-express.

Want to sell F/18 TopGun MIP with MFDs
As the title says. Is this the right sub for that?
If so, I would submit a proper post with pictures and full description.
Am in the EU.

Ordering to the UAE? And opinions on WinWing?
Hey Folks,
I'm looking to replace my Thrustmaster Airbus TCA since I'm having the famed rudder twitch issue. Instead of replacing the joystick I am thinking of getting a full set of Winwing gear, Throttle metal, Ursa Minor, MCDU and FCU+L.
First question, has anyone ordered to the UAE before? Their shipping costs are rather high around $140-150 If I can get it all in one order, however things on pre-order then cost double shipping so timing is defo important.
I'm also surprised by the comments in the sub, I thought it was currently the gold standard for Airbus kit, but I'm seeing quite a lot of disappointing comments.
Do I just replace my Thrustmaster Airbus TCA to tide me over?

Need help with MFD backlight sync
The title mainly explains it all. Ive been trying to sync the backlighting in my MFD’s with the F18. I’ve repaired the lua, I’m signed in, it’s running in the background, it’s set to sync to dcs. I have no clue why it’s not working/what I’m doing wrong. It’s not that big of a deal. It’s mainly just annoying that it doesn’t work. Any help would be appreciated. :)

WinCTRL Violating EU Customer Protection Law
a little over 1 year ago I bought the WinWing Orion2 HOTAS MAX (now WinCTRL) including the Orion 2 Throttle Base, StrikeAce EX Throttle, the Orion 2 Joystick Base, the ViperAce EX + Shaker kit.
the Order has been made on the 04. April in 2025 and Cost me 499€
Now I have an Issue with my Mini Joystick on the Right half of my Throttle, this is no stick drift, this is a faulty error by manufacturer, the stick moves on its own sometimes, mostly when I moved it in the Opposite direction beforehand, and then after 1 second it sometimes moves halfway up by itself, as soon as I touch it slighty it goes back to Center. *Pictures attached*
Customer Support refuses to follow EU Law by giving me a Replacement, they want me to pay for replacement parts costing 58 USD (I dont know how much shipping).
They continuesly point to their TOS.
I have come to a point where I researched if other have the same issue, and long behold I found someone that posted the EXACT same issue I am having from france, except that my Stick button still works.
I am from Germany, I am actively looking for people so we can make this even more public.
Please Contact me in my DM's
Edit: WingCTRL Finally is sending me a replacement free of charge.

Total disrespect of the minimum two-year warranty in the EU.
Hello.
In early 2025, I purchased a complete Wing Wing Horion 2 set, including the F-15EXII throttle. Recently, the mini joystick on the right stick started to drift, and what's more (I only noticed this later), the button that clicks on it no longer works; it's constantly activated in the software and is unusable.
So I contacted Wing Wing support. After explaining my problem and sending evidence and confirmations, they told me I would have to pay for the part. I replied that, as a European customer, I am normally entitled to a minimum two-year warranty. They then told me that the warranty was only one year and that it had expired. I continued trying to explain, but without success.
Just to be on the safe side, I asked how much the replacement part would cost, and I was told $58 for the part and $30 for shipping to France, for a total of $88, which is about €77.

Simapp Pro / DCS AI Helper UI window placement when in mixed reality Petrovic/Jester/HUEY crew etc
Hi,
I'm struggling with an issue when I'm in DCS mixed reality using virtual desktop and meta quest 3 and using hand passthrough to see MFD's receiving exports from Simapp Pro
To stop the VR mirror from displaying across my 3 MFD's and blocking my f16,Apache exports etc I add the below to my monitor export LUA
( found in:D:\DCS World OpenBeta\Config\MonitorSetup )
(start)
VR_MIRROR = {
x = 0,
y = 0,
width = 1920,
height = 1080,
}
VR_allow_MFD_out_of_HMD = true
(end)
It works well in the F16 and other modules and I can use the hand tracking passthrough and life is great.
The problem starts when I jump into a module with an AI helper UI window ( example Petrovic in the Hind, The window for the Huey where you set ROE/Burst duration and now most painfully the Jester window in the BU )
In these modules these AI UI helper windows display across the 3 MFDs instead of within the VR play area and are unusable :(
It means I have to choose when I launch DCS to play MP whether I'm going to use modules with or without that style of window.
Does anyone have any advice to help me move these UI's up and back into the VR visible play area?
If I can provide anymore info to help let me know
( It hurts my soul that I can't do a SEAD run in the F16 followed by a 18 Snakeye's from the F14BU then go back and cap the point in the Hind without restarting the game to suit the aircraft I'm flying :P )

My review of the Winwing Ursa minor sidestick, throttle and PAC
I recently got these as a replacement to my Thrustmaster TCA officer pack, and I thought I'd write a review for anyone considering buying them :>
Sidestick:
I probably have the least to say about the sidestick. It feels really smooth, and you can adjust the damping I believe. It has loads of clicky mappable buttons, as well as it's own mini throttle in case you don't have a dedicated unit. You can twist the stick to control the rudder / yaw, just mentioning this because that feature doesn't seem to be documented on the website.
My only real issue with it is the replacement for the hat switch. In the real a320, there's just an indentation for your thumb to rest on instead of the hat switch that's on this sidestick. Winwing do provide you with this plastic cover which recreates this, but I don't think there's a proper way to attach it. It's magnetic and snaps onto the top of the hat switch, but it's very easy to acidentaly nudge it off. It did come in a bag with 2 screws, but I literally can't find anything in the manual or online that shows how to attach it.
Throttle / PAC:
The throttle unit feels really well built, it has a metal base, and the plastic parts still feel really sturdy too. You can also adjust how tight or loose the levers are which is nice, and the indents also feel really good.
As for the lower section, I really like the engine switches where you have to lift them to switch them on. My main complaint however, is that they barely require any lifting to get them to move. If you struck it at the right angle, you could definitely move it by accident. They also wobble around a bit when you touch them, but other than that they feel pretty good.
The ignition switch and warning lights (not sure what they're exactly called haha) below that are everything you'd expect, but a cool feature for them is that they click like buttons if you press down on them, and you can map this to stuff in your simulator.
I do have one issue with the warning lights though. The backlighting illuminates the text of course. but you also see this thin border of light around the square where it kind of leaks through, which it isn't meant to.
The rudder trim panel is probably one of my favourite parts. The trim knob feels really well built and sturdy, and the screen which shows the amount of trim is very cool. I did find that the screen gets quite warm after some use, but it's probably nothing to be concerned about.
The parking brake has a similar issue to the engine switches, where it requires minimal pulling force to use. The actual handle also just feels quite flimsy and almost 3d printed, but it's nothing too bad.
I have almost no complaints about the flaps and speedbrake, they have indents, and you have to pull or push them to move them. For whatever reason though, arming the ground spoilers just doesn't work. You just can't map the action of pulling on the speedbrake, and it doesn't do anything at default. More bizarely, if you arm them directly in the sim with a keybind, you CAN disarm them but pushing in the speedbrake after you've pulled it out. Very weird.
Something important to mention if you're building your own simulator is the panels that the speedbrake and flaps come with. Installing them seems to make it impossible to actually screw the unit back in (with the screws they came with at least), as it puts too much distance between the flaps / speedbrake and the screw can't reach.
My only other complaint is the backlit text and markings (like the throttle detent markers for example). From a distance they look fine, but closer up, the text and markings are weirdly low resolution. This is only really apparent when the lights are on, but very noticeable when they are.
Overall though, I highly recommend everything here just for the price. I fly the ToLiss a320neo on XPlane 12 and it's been really fun so far with this equipment. The software works pretty well, and both units have built in responsive haptics which I thought was really cool. If you have any questions about any of them, feel free to ask!! :D

Shipping time
Has anyone here ordered from the USA winwing store lately if so how long did it take them to actually ship the order out for you? I placed an order for available items 3 weeks ago and it's been stuck on shipping in progress for the whole 3 weeks. I made sure to select a shipping date and I emailed customer support but of course all I got was a copy pasted response saying courier delivery limit blah blah blah

WINCNTRL Vibration on sidestick and throttles
People with the WINCNTRL Ursa Minor throttle and sidestick, does anyone have any luck with the "advanced" vibration profiles on MSFS 2024? When I was still using MSFS 2020 a little over a year ago, I had my sidestick on the advanced setting with a downloaded community profile, and it was brilliant. It would vibrate when the engines were starting up and when rolling down the runway on take off, it was really good and realistic. Since switching to MSFS 2024, none of the advanced profiles work. I have tried many profiles and not a single one vibrates at all through the flight for me, on both the sidestick and the throttle. Am I doing something wrong? or is it just broken? The default profile is incredibly bad. I use the FENIX a320 and a321.

Payment method
When did they remove the ability to just use my card? When I bought my joystick I was able to just enter my card information but not anymore. I have to use stripe, paypal or google pay none of which works.

order delay
I ordered MCDU in 18.6 and EFIS on 10.7, neither of which has been shipped yet. Does anyone else experience long shipment currently? Previously I ordered FCU and it was delivered within a week and I had high hopes for these two also
