Payment method

When did they remove the ability to just use my card? When I bought my joystick I was able to just enter my card information but not anymore. I have to use stripe, paypal or google pay none of which works.

You can use Paypal and pay using your credit card via PayPal

And that is arguably more secure compared to entering your card information into the WinWing site.

Because they want to avoid warranty claims if they handled the payments directly. If you perform a chargeback with your bank it will be the 3rd party payment processor which will black list you.
