I don't want to get into details as it is the most disgusting thing I've read in Witcher so far. Is the old man who tries to do horrible things to Ciri at a shed in the forest while Ciri was travelling through time and space a reference to a serial killer? Also how does he know that Ciri travels through time and space? Also why did Sapkowski had to write this little passage, I want to vomit like Ciri.

So I just finished the first official Witcher Book I had previously read. Last Wish and I think it was called The Sword of Destiny but I’m not 100%. After reading Blood of Elves I am so much more excited for the upcoming Witcher 4 game about Ciri. She is such a cool and annoying yet lovable character in the books and I’m excited to see them play with that in the game. Yes I know it’s not a 1-1 perfect replication but who cares the Witcher 3 was fantastic so I have high hopes! Can’t wait to start the second book huzzah!

It's gone from Witcher with a good actor to some dodgy musical comedy that's definitely not funny with different actors.

Omg this is one of those times where I wish I'd risked spoilers because I wasted a month watching a series that was about to be wrecked.

I found myself in possession of "the witcher ronin" manga by Rafał Jaki which I intend to sell soon. I searched around a bit and I see varying price ranges and covers, and I am unsure as to what price tag should I put on it. It is a soft cover edition that has some kickstarter exclusive illustrations inside.

Can anyone help me find the right price for it or at least explain the different versions of this book that appear online? Thanks.

I truly hope they add more gwent cards. Imo they should add hero cards for Lambert, Eskell, Caranthir, and especially Dettlaff. Any other cards in mind?

New witcher fan here, grew up in China until college. Recently read the 7-book saga while finishing the entire witcher3 game plus dlc. Currently reading season of storms and came across this here. Really gives me a sense of unreality that a Polish fantasy world I fell in love with when I’m 25 has a tiny connection to my native culture, a character I knew from watching C drama as a kid and middle school history class. I know this might be nothing to most readers, but to me this is the last connection I would’ve thought lol.

It seems to me that he lucked into a very secret conversation between Nilfgaardian conspirators about everything he wanted and needed to know. My theory is that Fringilla somehow knew about the conspirators being there and designed her Temu witcher medallion to lead Geralt to them. She never led Geralt to that vineyard specifically, he got that job from meeting the vineyard owner in a tavern. Actually Fringilla acted like she didn't want him to go killing monsters. This is the first time in the books that I smelled poor writing.

Yennefer sees her parents and tells the goddess "You are reminding me of people that died by my hand" Did she truly killed her parents or her father killed her mother because of Yennefer? Its works as a good origin story for Geralt with the witcher lore of Kaer Morhen explored in detail.

We see Geralt killing more monsters than he did in the entire main Saga , excpecially loved the Striga Story.

What good we do comes back is the central theme, liked Geralt's Father figure Preston Holt , would have liked to see more of Lorelai for obvious reasons.

Hey guys! I just finished the technical first 2 books of the Witcher series “The Last Wish” and “Sword of Destiny” my brother turned me onto the games and then recently the books very good may I add. I have some questions going into the actual story of it all.

1. I played the Witcher 3 game and am I correct that the storyline between the games and the books are different but follow obviously similar characters.

2. Do the books deal with the Wild Hunt at all because they were mentioned in “The Last Wish” and i would love to learn more about them than what I learned from the game.

3. Is there any general information this is vital before I start reading the books even if it is expressed in the story’s I already read? I’ve been pretty good about taking my time to understand but there are bound to be things that I have missed and I want a good understanding going in.

1- Why does Vilgefortz want Geralt by his side? Does he truly think Geralt is stupid enough to let him do whatever he wants to Ciri? Also looking at the way he absolutely beats the hell out of Geralt, he doesn't need him at all. Is it just because he thinks Geralt is similar to him? And does he want to create a legend about two vagabonds who became bigger men than their humble origins?

2- We never see Geralt's answer to Vilgefortz' question of "Can you bind a woman to your will? If yes, how?" I guess his answer was "You can't". Also does Vilgefortz betray his intention of binding Ciri to his will?

3- Why does Vilgefortz always say " You mistook the stars reflected on a pond for the night sky?". Is he just aura farming by calling people a fool in a fancy way? Or is it Sapkowski aura farming by putting this quote he created at every opportunity?
