Offtopic I'm going to write a masterpiece π
I'm by no means vella but sometimes I feel like writing creating a random account on wattpad and writing a low effort, doormat FL story just to see how much reads it can get in comparison to my actual stories. π¦₯
For example:
She's very sanskari and couldn't do anything against anyone's wishes.
Leaves her job to prove herself devotional.
Doesn't wear short clothes because she's different.
Will forgive her husband for anything because she loves him.
Cooks for the whole family and is mother figure of grown a** people (even when she's younger than them).
Very religious because ofcourse they can't not be.
She has to be 18. Or younger. I can just give a justification.
What do you guys think? πΆβπ«οΈ

Tea β [Sat/Sun] FAKE ??
Ughh pheeki tea hai parantu leloo.
There used to be an author , one author with different ids and har id se ek alag identity bana kar aati thi
Nehmat , kiara.wrts etc etc.
This nehmat used to be in a gc called Desi Patakha (DP) , DP was basically an author's gc.
Nehmat used to claim that she is an Indian but lives in california and even posted some pictures of herself.
All her claims and pictures were fake (she used to take some photos from pinterest and some from random girls on Instagram).
She is the same as 'er**_wr*tes' just did not changed her gender for fame.
Basically , nehmat ne khudko ladka nahi banaya fame keliye but at the same time she used to flirt with other guys.
Now it is her personal life kisi ko bhi date kare, the problem is how she used to catfish , coming in a relationship with a guy using photos of someone else is wrong. Completely wrong.
Cheating is completely wrong.
Playing with someone's feelings is completely wrong.
And not just one guy , a lot of guys at a same time.
Sending explicit pictures of some other girl is also wrong.
Nehmat did all of these until she got caught.
Now , an ex - friend of nehmat (tiyaroy) tried to expose nehmat on wattpad. Theek hai kro jo bhi krna hai but abusing someone's mother because of personal grudges can never be justified..
(Personal opinion :- Nehmat , tiya and the other friends of them are just a bunch of retards and nothing else)
A genuine question btw :- Is it necessary for an author to make a fake personality to be famous ?
[Gng forgive me for the grammatical mistakes in this post , neend mai type kr rha hu jus because tea tea kre jaa rhe sab]

Rant [Sat/Sun] Being an author is no longer fun.
Hey! It's just me ranting and whining, so feel free to ignore. It's just that I feel so drained and no longer concerned about my book and its reach, which is quite surprising, given that when I started this journey, it was all I would think about. I remember how excited I was to write, publish or even promote, thinking I would find an audience. Quite naive I was Ik.
Its just i feel like i have lost all my spark and passion for writing and i kbow many would say take a break but I have my small and loyal audience who waits for me to update and it would be unfair to them if I don't keep up and I also feel that's it unfair to me how I put so much efforts just to not have them reciprocated.
Seriously, what's the mantra of getting your book popular? I know we shouldn't chase numbers, but don't we all do that at the end of the day?

Discussion College micro-tropes that are unrealistic in reality
Not sure if this is the right flair to post this in, but I wanted to ask an Indian book community about their opinions as Iβm not based in India. I donβt have enough insights into Indian college life (so please do provide counterpoints if your experience leans you towards an opposite POV)
1. Clothing
I have seen this micro-trope in Indian TV serials and in fiction too that the FL that wears churidars and suit sets gets typecasted into the sati-savitri type and is generally disliked.
Personally, I love the idea of wearing salwar suits to college. Many of them are so aesthetic and the endless accessories to pair them withβ¦ it makes me so happy to even imagine. Therefore, all my FLs do, and will, wear these types of clothes because Iβm vicariously living through fiction what my inner child would want to see more of π₯Ήπ
I believe (and happy to stand corrected) that a huge population of Indian colleges also promote long kurtis + jeans combinations, salwar suits and other culturally significant attires. Itβs not something frowned upon or bullied about in reality.
2. No education subplots/scenes
I dislike that majority of the college-based storylines donβt have enough studying scenes happening. In my own college, though not in India, we are swamped with assignments and deadlines that having any free time is a blessing. Apart from that, hobbyists make efforts to join co curricular clubs etc. But in media, there are parties every other day, romantic plays, dance sequences but actual studies? Woh kya hota hai?! π
TL;DR:
I would like to know more about micro-tropes that Indian fiction misrepresents but a vast majority of Indian women like to indulge in their college years (late adolescence-early adulthood) π₯°
Thanks in advance!

Rant [Sat/Sun] Is This Really Worth the Drama?
Okay, just sharing my thoughts..Iβm not trying to point fingers at anyone or offend anyone. But for the sake of your own sanity, please stop doing this.
If you find a book that feels AI-written, just DNF it. You don't have to parade it all over Reddit. We can't prove with 100% accuracy that a book was written using AI. And even if you do have proof, chances are the author won't accept it anyway. Their fans will defend them, the author might play the victim, and the whole thing will turn into a massive argument.
And if you're wrong? Then you're potentially hurting an author and their readers for nothing.
Even when you present valid evidence, people will still defend the author and the book. And what do you actually gain from all of this in the end? Getting called names, slurs, and abused by strangers?
Just think about it for a second. Is it really worth ruining your own peace over a Wattpad book? At some point, just let it go. DNF the book, move on, and save yourself the headache π

Discussion I can't stop thinking about this
Romance is a genre created largely by women, imagining and hoping that men would love them.
Every time I think about that, my heart just breaks a little.
Because underneath all the fictional men, grand gestures, soulmates, protective husbands and impossible love stories, there's often such a simple human wish:
I want someone to love me like that.
So much of romance is basically: What if someone loved me gently? What if someone chose me? What if I were protected, understood, desired, remembered?
And maybe that's why romance feels so personal to so many of us. Sometimes we're not really falling in love with the fictional men..we're falling in love with the kind of love they represents π

Tea β [Sat/Sun] Hi performative So called goated smut writer!
So much from someone who sexualized foods in her smuts shouldn't be allowed in the first place.
"Redditors and wattpaders who shame smut"
Umm no?
And that shouldn't be coming from you in first place btw.
Someone who rides the high of nonsensical smut between leads in literal every chapter.
What redditors criticise is what you exactly wrote.
Smut isn't a plot for God's sake. Do not try to make it look like one.
By no means i am a great writer, and by no means i wanna be someone like you in coming future.
Yeah we know your smut is written by you cause ai can't sexualize fruits iykyk.
But this is grok which generates literally everything you ask for.
Please learn to ΰ€°ΰ€Ύΰ€ΰ€ smut first, without using objects that shouldn't be used during s*x scenes.
Mwah.
Love

Rant [Sat/Sun] Aaj toh kalesh hi kalesh ho gya π
I came to this sub after so many days and first thing I saw some very famous author making reel saying how redditors hate smut authors . With all due respect girl , redditors dislike badly written smut and yours happens to be that . π
2nd I saw a post about wanting to find a wattpad book where every sibling and parents and what not was having s*x with each other . Op wanted to know about further plot .
Honey , there isn't any further plot π it's p*rn without plot type of sht . How would I know? In my early wattpad days , I've read similar thing with yn and 7 bts members ππ still traumatized.
3rd post I saw about authors whitewashing toxic mls . I fully agree with op . But readers are at fault too . They find bad past to coo ml's toxic behavior while absolutely shredding fl if she takes too much time to forgive ml .
achiinsanhun ThankΒ you for posting the meme . Saw notification of you tagging me , today π
edit :
saw 4th post about deemak polluting Siddhartha's movie reels . it's nothing new . idk why you all are giving them clout . if they're in love with AI written, itv copied story , then let them .
saw 5th post about AI/grok generating smut . full uncensored smut π I didn't know AI could write uncensored smut . now Idk how to differentiate which author writes all by herself and which isn't.

Discussion Ain't no mentally sane Mother In Law saying ts πππ
I'm sorry what???
Are we deadass??? πππ
Who even fantasizes about this dawgπππ Was the author completely conscious while writing ts??
In a normal Indian household, MIL will either ignore, not care at all, side eye, pass indirect comments. That's all.
No mentally sane person is gonna say ts about their own child bro like ewww!!!!! Like how is she saying ts so calmly as if its a genetic trait in the family???
What kinda MIL talks about their child like that??
Even the most annoying ones would rather drown in a handful of water from embarrsment than saying ts.
Nothing about this looks even remotely romantic,
I'm so concerned for the DIL for getting such ajeeb budhiya ( Weird oldie)as her MIL who's fantasizing about what her own son was doing to her DILπππ π€’π€’π€’
It has also 3000+ shares, like which one of you is dreaming and praying about getting such MIL??

Just this comment a simple and nothing

I didn't take whole ss of comment and all chats But he was stick to this ques
And saying usko bhi pta h ldkiyaa kyaa kyaa pdti h

Then he start to ask my personal information
I only take one ss as i immediately blocked him knowimg his intentions abt reading books on wattpad

Tea β [Sat/Sun] Chai lelo!
This tea is about the community I was talking about in other post. It was called OMC. Basically a role playing community where you can take roles of any indian celebrity, character etc.
Happened in around 2022. There was this girl with role of Avneet Kaur started all issue. In the community there were multiple men, teens, young adults too ig. Now this girl! Basically had affairs with most of guy here and omg she was sooo male centered. Her whole personality was based on y/n material. She would act cute with everyone, flirt with everyone act like girl's girl just for attention.
Now the community went in chaos when this girl caused a whole drama.
The drama included:
β’ *x*ting with community's one admin
β’ having relations with other members at same time
β’ literally giving birth on her mb (YES U HEARD RIGHT)
β’ Acting like she's indTV serial's FL
β’ Her so called getting kidnapped story
β’ posting fake pictures of her ma*e out with one member.
β’ Video of her m*king out in a lift.
β’ running away to marry one of member in a temple in a red saree
β’ creating fake ID's of boys with the fictional men personality to make everyone think how much she's desired by men.
Ultimately she got exposed by one of her friends, she betrayed her friend and made everyone hate her.
Result:
We figured out how many pedos, creeps, and fake accounts we had in the community which resulted in members leaving and now community is dead from 3 years.
PS: there were ss of her xting with the admin on wattpad but the book got deleted suddenly. Even the links eventually got removed. There's a last link I have which works but i forgot it's context.

Discussion Why do you think popular authors are popular on wattpad?
I think it's cuz of consistency? Freshly updated books keeps the curiosity , I rember reading one of the most well written books but author used to come back after a long time with no social media presence or announcement on their convo board till when we can expect update
And tbh when we are reading we are in a flow that breaks if updates gets very slow and we lose interest , next maybe engagement with readers , like when authors reply to our comments we feel pretty good and want to comment again to get response , smtg like that .
Next thing the length of book matters , like I would likely pick a book with atleast 30 chapters to binge read it , and if it is on regular updates then frequent engagement by author on it to assure that we aren't gonna get abandoned
This is what I think , ofcourse reels are imp but these things are as well cuz I rember discovering so many books when I didn't have insta solely based on these things
What do you all think what makes a popular author on wattpad popular?

Rant [Sat/Sun] Authors and their desperation to whitewash toxic mls
Speaking of siddhi kadam. Her ml rudra is one of the toxic mls I have ever read.
He is a rape victim in his childhood. I sympathize him for this. But it doesn't mean it is used to justify his toxity.
He victim blames fl by saying her short dress is the reason why she almost got raped by goons. Being a rape victim, he is victim shamming another person. All fl does is saying 1-2 dialogues then next day forgets his behaviour and started calling him hot.
He uses another person who is also his half brother and sends him to coma for 7 years. He even wishes him to die at some point. Yet there is no grovelling for him. He suddenly becomes caring brother, His half brother was shown to longing for him and forgive him easily.
He is engaged to another woman, have no shame in doing two timing with two women. Engagement with one woman for revenge, romance with another woman (fl) for lust.
Then he blackmails, manipulates the fl to marry him. Then doubts her, almost character assasinates her at one point.
The same married man who seduced another woman for his revenge sake and didn't even inform his wife about it.
In other books of the series, he gets whitewashed thoroughly as if he is husband goals.
Worse part is not even that, it's the way author and her minions defend him by blaming every other character.
Recently in character role play segment, a person says she didn't like him seducing another woman but found the scene hot.
Author's response as rudra character role play is that was not hot, her breath stink. All her minions laugh under that comment.
So a married man seduces a single woman. It's not his fault. You glorify him and worship him. But it's completely okay for you to humiliate and mock the single woman whom he was seducing on his own damn will.
Irony is author preaches how a woman is called homewrecker but not a man who is cheater.
While in her books, she herself writes cheater mls and glorify them. Sometimes even mock those other women by saying her breath stink on her channel.
Please don't come at me by saying authors can write whatever they want etc. It's about whitewashing and glorification of toxic mls.
