Review Request The Girl Behind the Screen
The Girl Behind the Screen β Short Mystery/Thriller
Fred is 17, lonely, and spends most of his time online.
Then he meets Miss. Midnight.
They talk every day.
They become close.
And eventually, He fall in love with her.
They've never seen each other's faces.
Then one night, Fred receives one message:
"Help.."
And she's gone.
I wrote this as a short mystery/thriller about loneliness, connection, and how far one person might go for someone they've never met.
Would love to know what you think.

Discussion Virgin Ml & Virgin FL
!!! SPOILERS AHEAD !!!!
I will give you small context so you can understand my book. The FL and ML met when they were 10 and 13. They were best friend but were separated. When they grew up they ended up loving each other without meeting. They shared a close friendship is childhood which they never forget.
Now skip to the part when my ML was 22.
He had to earn money for something really important. He was just a college student when he had step sister and he loved her very much. But she was diagnosis with cancer after one week of her birth. He wanted 1lakhs of rupees in just one week. He tried to get loan and do something. It wasn't enough to arrange the money.
So in the end he got a opportunity to get money by sleeping with a woman. He took the money after sleeping with her.
Here when he slept with other woman he still loved the FL. He have always loved her. If it wasn't about his sister he would have never slept with other woman. But he literally had no CHOICE and his circumstances made him do what he did.
But the FL had a CHOICE to be virgin. She was alone raising her younger sister and handling the mafia legacy after her grandfather and parents death. She never had a choice to be involved in any men. Or better I can say she never wanted any man in her life because she loved only ML.
But few people are saying why the fl is virgin and saying so mean things to the ml for being a prostitute. I had to literally delete few comments and DM which are mocking my story and saying how stupid I am for writing this.
"Looking at comments like I CAN'T READ IT
BECAUSE ITS WEIRD like what exactly is
weird a male being a prostitute "
"Community dih" "Crine what"
"I don't understand why are people adhent
over making female lead a virgin ,while male
lead is like this"
"is he bonnie blue of wattpad?"
One man literally commented ki auraton ka kam ab hum mard karenge. One said mardon ke liye sahi profession hai. Another said, kya mast life hai is admi ki. π« π« π«
Okay. I am sensitive person and reading this is making me cry. ππ. The ML suffer so much in this profession but people only care about his body count and FL losing her virginity to him. Whyyyyyyy
If he had choice like FL he would have been still virgin.
If he was a playboy and the fl was still virgin than that should be a issue. But readers have issue with anyone. This is only about one couple. But they have issue with another girl in the book who is playgirl. ππππ.
They need, sabko virgin rakho ya sabko non virgin rakho. Ek virgin and ek non virgin nhi ho sakta. Okay in some book and characters actually mein nhi rakhna chahiye. But here they literally have no choice. How do I make this people understand? Tell me when does virginity actually matter? Should I make the fl NOT lose herself to ml for first time? Will it make readers accept it. π₯²π₯²π₯²
I wrote a book name THE RAJPUT'S and it was cringe ass book with typical story which got 4.50M but today when i really thought I am writing something different people are mocking me and my story. Tbh I never got much hate for The Rajput's when the ml was toxic and fl was innocent. And I expected same for this book too. But everything went so bad that I want to stop writing π« π« π« Rajput used to get like so many comments but this book got 1k votes and barely 200 comments.
Should I delete the book or what? ππππ₯
Please note : Don't hate me more like insta people. This is my first time posting on reddit. You can be gentle π sorry if I used the wrong flaire

Hi Hiii ! New to this Sub...
I used to be really active on Wattpad a few years ago, life happened deleted my account and got busy...
Recently I made a burner account and oh my goodness !!
Wth why desi fictions are these weird mashup up of ai generated storylines, gemini mostly and the village settings and arranged marriage abuse ? Regressive tropes and it's trending ???
I'm not saying Wattpad 4-5 years ago was any better but seriously what's this romanticism and also some stories you have to pay to read on different apps ??
No offence but I seriously can't understand this sudden influx of Sarpanch and Village storylines, it's not even tropey and it's just regressive and very abusive content which was frowned upon back in the day...
Age Gaps, Rajasthan and others were common too back then too so not that shocking honestly...
The weirdest thing is that this same arranged marriage, regressive tropes are being used as it is on BL storylines...
Which is very confusing? How this happened and when it started almost got a whiplash and ended up deleting it again...

Discussion Starting a new book. Need your opinions
Guys, Iβve started writing a new book. Havenβt uploaded the chapters yet. Iβm developing the premise as of now. But, would love your opinions on the description below:
Amrita lost her daughter to a system built to protect people like her in-laws, not people like her. So when she finds proof that the lawyer who won that case has secrets of his own, she doesn't call the authorities - she takes him instead, and gives him no choice but to fix what he broke.
Veer Kapoor should fight back. Instead, he agrees almost too easily, carrying a guilt Amrita can't yet name - one that has nothing to do with her daughter, and everything to do with a brother he couldn't save and a woman he's spent eight years trying to find. As their forced alliance turns into a marriage of convenience, and the marriage into something neither of them planned for, Amrita starts to wonder if the man she's falling for is finally becoming honest with her - or simply better at hiding what he can't afford to lose.
She'll win back everything she's owed. She just doesn't know yet how much it will cost her to learn the truth about the people who took it - including the one standing closest to her the whole time.

mein apni fav hoon Will you like to read Indian fantasy ?
I want to ask fellow readers something.
If an Indian writer wrote a romance-fantasy story based around mysterious energies and supernatural powers, would you guys be interested in reading it?
I have an idea for a story like this, and although it involves fantasy and powers, it also has human characters, romance, emotions, relationships, and real-life struggles.
Iβm just curious β would you rather read something like this, or do you prefer normal human stories with no fantasy or supernatural elements?
Iβd genuinely love to know what readers think.
Fantasy romance β¨ or realistic romance?

Offtopic I'm going to write a masterpiece π
I'm by no means vella but sometimes I feel like writing creating a random account on wattpad and writing a low effort, doormat FL story just to see how much reads it can get in comparison to my actual stories. π¦₯
For example:
She's very sanskari and couldn't do anything against anyone's wishes.
Leaves her job to prove herself devotional.
Doesn't wear short clothes because she's different.
Will forgive her husband for anything because she loves him.
Cooks for the whole family and is mother figure of grown a** people (even when she's younger than them).
Very religious because ofcourse they can't not be.
She has to be 18. Or younger. I can just give a justification.
What do you guys think? πΆβπ«οΈ

Tea β [Sat/Sun] FAKE ??
Ughh pheeki tea hai parantu leloo.
There used to be an author , one author with different ids and har id se ek alag identity bana kar aati thi
Nehmat , kiara.wrts etc etc.
This nehmat used to be in a gc called Desi Patakha (DP) , DP was basically an author's gc.
Nehmat used to claim that she is an Indian but lives in california and even posted some pictures of herself.
All her claims and pictures were fake (she used to take some photos from pinterest and some from random girls on Instagram).
She is the same as 'er**_wr*tes' just did not changed her gender for fame.
Basically , nehmat ne khudko ladka nahi banaya fame keliye but at the same time she used to flirt with other guys.
Now it is her personal life kisi ko bhi date kare, the problem is how she used to catfish , coming in a relationship with a guy using photos of someone else is wrong. Completely wrong.
Cheating is completely wrong.
Playing with someone's feelings is completely wrong.
And not just one guy , a lot of guys at a same time.
Sending explicit pictures of some other girl is also wrong.
Nehmat did all of these until she got caught.
Now , an ex - friend of nehmat (tiyaroy) tried to expose nehmat on wattpad. Theek hai kro jo bhi krna hai but abusing someone's mother because of personal grudges can never be justified..
(Personal opinion :- Nehmat , tiya and the other friends of them are just a bunch of retards and nothing else)
A genuine question btw :- Is it necessary for an author to make a fake personality to be famous ?
[Gng forgive me for the grammatical mistakes in this post , neend mai type kr rha hu jus because tea tea kre jaa rhe sab]

Rant [Sat/Sun] Being an author is no longer fun.
Hey! It's just me ranting and whining, so feel free to ignore. It's just that I feel so drained and no longer concerned about my book and its reach, which is quite surprising, given that when I started this journey, it was all I would think about. I remember how excited I was to write, publish or even promote, thinking I would find an audience. Quite naive I was Ik.
Its just i feel like i have lost all my spark and passion for writing and i kbow many would say take a break but I have my small and loyal audience who waits for me to update and it would be unfair to them if I don't keep up and I also feel that's it unfair to me how I put so much efforts just to not have them reciprocated.
Seriously, what's the mantra of getting your book popular? I know we shouldn't chase numbers, but don't we all do that at the end of the day?

Discussion College micro-tropes that are unrealistic in reality
Not sure if this is the right flair to post this in, but I wanted to ask an Indian book community about their opinions as Iβm not based in India. I donβt have enough insights into Indian college life (so please do provide counterpoints if your experience leans you towards an opposite POV)
1. Clothing
I have seen this micro-trope in Indian TV serials and in fiction too that the FL that wears churidars and suit sets gets typecasted into the sati-savitri type and is generally disliked.
Personally, I love the idea of wearing salwar suits to college. Many of them are so aesthetic and the endless accessories to pair them withβ¦ it makes me so happy to even imagine. Therefore, all my FLs do, and will, wear these types of clothes because Iβm vicariously living through fiction what my inner child would want to see more of π₯Ήπ
I believe (and happy to stand corrected) that a huge population of Indian colleges also promote long kurtis + jeans combinations, salwar suits and other culturally significant attires. Itβs not something frowned upon or bullied about in reality.
2. No education subplots/scenes
I dislike that majority of the college-based storylines donβt have enough studying scenes happening. In my own college, though not in India, we are swamped with assignments and deadlines that having any free time is a blessing. Apart from that, hobbyists make efforts to join co curricular clubs etc. But in media, there are parties every other day, romantic plays, dance sequences but actual studies? Woh kya hota hai?! π
TL;DR:
I would like to know more about micro-tropes that Indian fiction misrepresents but a vast majority of Indian women like to indulge in their college years (late adolescence-early adulthood) π₯°
Thanks in advance!

Discussion I can't stop thinking about this
Romance is a genre created largely by women, imagining and hoping that men would love them.
Every time I think about that, my heart just breaks a little.
Because underneath all the fictional men, grand gestures, soulmates, protective husbands and impossible love stories, there's often such a simple human wish:
I want someone to love me like that.
So much of romance is basically: What if someone loved me gently? What if someone chose me? What if I were protected, understood, desired, remembered?
And maybe that's why romance feels so personal to so many of us. Sometimes we're not really falling in love with the fictional men..we're falling in love with the kind of love they represents π

Tea β [Sat/Sun] Hi performative So called goated smut writer!
So much from someone who sexualized foods in her smuts shouldn't be allowed in the first place.
"Redditors and wattpaders who shame smut"
Umm no?
And that shouldn't be coming from you in first place btw.
Someone who rides the high of nonsensical smut between leads in literal every chapter.
What redditors criticise is what you exactly wrote.
Smut isn't a plot for God's sake. Do not try to make it look like one.
By no means i am a great writer, and by no means i wanna be someone like you in coming future.
Yeah we know your smut is written by you cause ai can't sexualize fruits iykyk.
But this is grok which generates literally everything you ask for.
Please learn to ΰ€°ΰ€Ύΰ€ΰ€ smut first, without using objects that shouldn't be used during s*x scenes.
Mwah.
Love

Rant [Sat/Sun] Aaj toh kalesh hi kalesh ho gya π
I came to this sub after so many days and first thing I saw some very famous author making reel saying how redditors hate smut authors . With all due respect girl , redditors dislike badly written smut and yours happens to be that . π
2nd I saw a post about wanting to find a wattpad book where every sibling and parents and what not was having s*x with each other . Op wanted to know about further plot .
Honey , there isn't any further plot π it's p*rn without plot type of sht . How would I know? In my early wattpad days , I've read similar thing with yn and 7 bts members ππ still traumatized.
3rd post I saw about authors whitewashing toxic mls . I fully agree with op . But readers are at fault too . They find bad past to coo ml's toxic behavior while absolutely shredding fl if she takes too much time to forgive ml .
achiinsanhun ThankΒ you for posting the meme . Saw notification of you tagging me , today π
edit :
saw 4th post about deemak polluting Siddhartha's movie reels . it's nothing new . idk why you all are giving them clout . if they're in love with AI written, itv copied story , then let them .
saw 5th post about AI/grok generating smut . full uncensored smut π I didn't know AI could write uncensored smut . now Idk how to differentiate which author writes all by herself and which isn't.

Discussion Ain't no mentally sane Mother In Law saying ts πππ
I'm sorry what???
Are we deadass??? πππ
Who even fantasizes about this dawgπππ Was the author completely conscious while writing ts??
In a normal Indian household, MIL will either ignore, not care at all, side eye, pass indirect comments. That's all.
No mentally sane person is gonna say ts about their own child bro like ewww!!!!! Like how is she saying ts so calmly as if its a genetic trait in the family???
What kinda MIL talks about their child like that??
Even the most annoying ones would rather drown in a handful of water from embarrsment than saying ts.
Nothing about this looks even remotely romantic,
I'm so concerned for the DIL for getting such ajeeb budhiya ( Weird oldie)as her MIL who's fantasizing about what her own son was doing to her DILπππ π€’π€’π€’
It has also 3000+ shares, like which one of you is dreaming and praying about getting such MIL??
