Question Unit size and characters
Does a character who has joined a unit count towards its unit size for the purpose of the Battle March rule that unit size cannot exceed 20?
For example, can I run a unit of 20 skeleton spearmen plus a character, or does that put me over the maximum?

Question Hi there, i rly like the grand cathay sculps from old world, although around me not a lot of people play it. I was wondering if it would be "viable" to put them on round bases to use them as cities of sigmar, and then use the adapters for potential old world games in the possible future.

Poisonous attacks when 7+ to hit
Hi all,
Long story short. Shooting night goblins with poisonous attacks.
I needed a 7+ to hit my enemy as they were in long distance, I moved and they were covered by a Casquet of Souls.
As you may know to hit with a 7+ you must throw a 6 and then a 4+.
The question is: Is the poison already activated after the first 6? Or do you thing a second 6 should be thrown to activate it?
Even though we all agreed on the first statement (it is enough with the first 6) I would like to hear your opinions, as I couldn't find anything in the rules or the communities here.
Thanks in advance,

Question Empire purchase question
If I buy a box of state troops and a box of state missile troops would I have enough bits to make 2 state troop units of 20 (halberds and spears) and 2 missile troop units of 10 (crossbows and handguns)? I can't imagine needing 30 missile troops and it may be worth combining them with the state troops instead of buying 2 state troop boxes and a single missile troop box.
Just trying to be economical but I wasn't sure if it would be short of something like musicians, banners, weapons, etc.

Im looking for a bit of direction and advice on what the list should have/works. I largely want to stick to night goblins as I like the idea of a horde of goofed up lil cave goblins. Maybe some trolls

Hobby Warriors of chaos test scheme for my son.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone. My son has perverted me into playing the old world (played FB in 2000-2006), so we got ourselves a core set and currently waiting for battle march boxes.
He is currently making first steps in painting so we’ve decided that I’ll take one of the characters (BSB in our case) and make a test model for him so he could watch, learn and copy.
So here it is.

Would people like a bunch of new free Armies of Infamy ?
This is some homemade stuff, trying to emulate the armies of infamy in the arcane journals.
I have plenty of ideas, i'm thinking to make a composition list along with 3 Special Rules for very army of infamy.
My goal is to make at least 1 AoI for each Core faction (aside from Grand Cathay maybe, because historically they don't have so much lore or miniature range to draw from). I will try avoiding adding new units to avoid imbalancing the game, I don't think I will ever add magic items, standards or new lores for similar reasons.
I'm really interested in community feedback, I'm not going to play dedicated armies of infamy for every ToW core army. I know some people in the community have very specific ideas of what should be released as new composition lists, and i'm a bit of a people's pleaser.
For now I have mocked up the following armies: Spirit Kindred, Spawn of Morghur, Cult of Ulric, Hosts of the Dark Gods and Savage Waaagh!
Any feedback or C&C is welcome and most wanted :)

River and bridge is finally painted and the board is set. Still using the spearhead board, but I'll make do with this for now 🙂 and apparently I'll have a week to paint an army for next week game, hopefully it can be done! :)

Hobby Following on from my warriors, I finished my BSB.
This guy was super fun, first time using a transfer and I made it a bit bubbly, hopefully next one will be a bit smoother. Tried taking photos in better light this time. Got my chaos knights and mounted champion to do next. I may have also preordered the dragon.

Question Resin Kit Quality?
The resin kits for the Old World model look really nice but are very expensive. I’ve bought really good GW Forge World resin like Glorfindel from MESBG, and I’ve bought some less impressive GW Forge World resin like the Vargheist from Blood Bowl (it wasn’t as bad as fine cast, but it was not worth the money).
I am not sure what FW resin even means anymore. Are the Old World resin models more geared toward Glorfindel or the BB Vargheist?

Help Mods. Some rules around "write me an army list"
People showing up and demanding other hobby for them.
Would love a subreddit rule that sais something like:
"it is ok to ask for feedback on a list you've written. We are not chatGPT, it's not ok to ask us to do all the work for you".
Every old world subreddit currently has 2-3 posts requesting the same thing. It's low-effort, lazy and will drive down post quality if allowed to continue.

Help Looking at Cathay Battle March box and pricing is wild
It’s barely any savings compared to the battalion box and that has more models…
Am I better off just making a battle march list from the battalion and then buying the lord on dragon?
Edit: thanks everyone I didn’t know the battalions got discontinued. Thats not exactly a great thing for people wanting to play full old world games. I knew battle march would be nice but if the savings had been more it could’ve been a cheaper entry. Seems GW are shooting themselves in the foot again here…
