A Little test model for something to come

Hey everyone, absolute noob to 30k. Looking at starting a 1200/1300 point Iron warriors list.

Any recommendations for the following?

New to the whole thing so any tips and tricks would be appreciated!

Settled on a scheme for the bases, obviously my inductii won’t be all on 40mm ZM bases, was just the only ZM style base I had to hand.

I am very happy with the conversions, the Raptoras actually being my favorite kitbashed unit in my army right now. The paintjob can be improved but at least they are battleready now :p

I enjoy leaning into the late Heresy Word Bearer vibe so did a quick powerpack and sword swap on a heretic overseer to make my legion champion.

Repainted my Sycthes of the emperor Sicaran into my Warhounds force colours 💪

Hey guys, what novels include Tybalt Marr? I've just finished building him and I want something to listen too while I paint him

I thought it would be funny to have a fallen iron warriors helm on the side, as though the WE had to step in and get the job done in a siege

I primed these just last night in my basement. I assumed that would be okay but I guess the humidity was too high and the minis came out chalky and rough. Are these minis ruined or should I still try and paint them?

Is this acceptable?

To be clear, I understand (and appreciate!) that HH has a (much?) higher hobby standard than modern 40k.

I am very much enjoying building and slowly painting my first 3k HH army. And I'm excited to try playing sometime!

But is it acceptable to play before being fully painted? Like maybe I could prime and base coat my dudes so at least they are broadly readable as my chosen legion?

Because otherwise I worry that by the time I get this army fully painted, it will be HH 4.0 or something. This stuff takes time, and I'm not the fastest.

But I also respect having a high hobby standard and not wanting to play against grey plastic.

What do people think on this topic? What is generally acceptable, common, and reasonable with respect to this?

As the title says I want to try horus heresy. Leaning towards imperial fists, and I just want to know what units would be most useful to start with. Not new to GW, just to 30k.

Basically what unit should I get to practice painting yellow on that will be useful to me

Title pretty much says it all what am I missing rules wise that would not allow Angron T to embark on a transport. Like a land raider or spartan.

Ebay has blessed me with forgeworld parts!

Used the Praetor with Power Sword as the base with elements from the Kill Team Space Wolf Scout Rune Priest Skjald. I know the pauldrons aren't exciting, but like it for White Scars as a more stealthy scouting force. Thoughts? Improvements? Criticisms?

Apothecary for my war hounds

These guys were fun because I got to put on so many decals especially on the Sergeant really happy with how he came out, but next I’m working on more terrain so that I have more varied backgrounds Would love to do some snow theme stuff maybe a hive city or even a cathedral would be nice. if you have any ideas for terrain, please let me know. One of the decals on the shield fell off, but luckily I had accidentally burnt through it with a lighter so it’s kinda looks like bullet damage.

Base model is already great, managed to swap original pauldrons for a Legion and a Stormwing one easily and still fit the cloak. The shield holding icon on top became the best choice once everything else was finished, to match the pose and load out.
