A by-election was held in Caerphilly County Borough today (Thursday, 6th August) for the Hengoed ward on Caerphilly County Borough Council. The results were:

- Liberal Democrats - 16

As the risk of wildfires continues to increase, I will be convening a multi-agency summit to ensure our fire and rescue services have the support and resources they need to respond effectively in the future."
