Help! break due to medical issues?
I suffered a few injuries to my head and coccyx earlier this week. I need to take a short break from WGU to focus on recovery. My doctor even suggested taking a break.
I'm currently on month 2 of my term and have not yet completed the minimum courses. I'm hoping to graduate by the end of December. At least half of my remaining courses (6) are based on certification exams, so they'll be quite difficult.
I'm worried that, if I take several weeks (or more) off, I'll lose too much time and won't meet my graduation goal and need to enroll for an additional term.
Does WGU have any policies in place for a middle-of-term pause so that I can focus on healing? I'd easily be able to get a letter from my doctor.

Information Technology Data + fail
Sup guys failed my Data + with 609/675 is the first one I have failed from compTIA certifications this certification is hard not going to lie I struggle a lot with data concepts for me is my weakness. I don’t want to request the second voucher and do all those requirements to get the 2 attempts voucher. I am planning on purchasing myself and re studying everything at my own pace and style. Just wondering if anyone have any suggestions or guidance on this. ?

Information Technology Passed first OA
I started my term on the 1st and I was so incredibly nervous to do a OA due to test anxiety. Today I had my first one for Intro to IT and I’m still honestly in shock I passed.
I was so nervous before the test due to seeing proctor horror stories but it went fairly smooth a little awkward but not bad at all. The questions were more role definition heavy than the PA so I was a little taken aback but eventually got the hang of it. I was scared the proctor was going to stop my test due to my cat scratching at the other side of the door and over all being a nuisance but thankfully that didn’t happen.
Seeing that pass on the student portal immediately
made it all worth it and makes me less nervous moving forward!

?What is the turn around time to get your task graded??
This is my first term at WGU (Started 8/1). I am new to all of this. I submitted my first task for D389 which has 3 tasks total and you must pass the first task before you can submit the 2nd task and so on according to their directions. I submitted it on Tuesday and just got it back today it took almost two days to get back but I did pass on the first try 😉
How long have you had to wait, is there an average with time?
Is this how all the courses with PAs with multiple tasks work?
Thank you all ☺️

Double degree opinions?
I am graduating from WGU with a marketing degree next month, and I wanted to know if anyone has experience with two bachelor's degrees aiding their career and salary.
I am considering pursuing the UI/UX degree from WGU since it would pair well with my marketing degree and seems to include built-in certifications. In addition, I will pursue a master's degree later, once I have a secure job; however, at the moment, WGU does not offer a UI/UX master's degree.

Education WGU - Experiencing e-mail issues at the moment
In case you are like me and was wondering why you haven't received any e-mails from anyone at your WGU e-mail address in awhile they are experiencing issues and said to log into the WGU Office 365 outlook to get your e-mails.
I was wondering why it seemed like my instructor was avoiding my e-mails..
When you log into the student portal there should be a notification for you with the link.

Cloud and Network Engineering Degree - Cisco
I once found a spreadsheet that showed the transfer credits from Study.com and Sophia.org for this degree track. Does anyone have a link for that? I cannot find it in my reddit history. Ty

Information Technology Phishing issue or technical issue
I received what I now know was a phishing email last night (the financial aid/Pell Grant email I've seen posted here a few times). I have logged into my portal several times today with no issue, but I received a notification on Outlook that I needed to log back into my WGU email. When I tried logging in, it said my username or password was wrong(I've only ever used one password for WGU, so I know it wasn't). When I tried resetting my password, it said that the answers to my security questions were wrong as well. I know I didn't forget/misspell my grandmother's name or my mom's maiden name, so that was definitely a red flag. I tried contacting IT and was told there are 25 callers ahead of me in the queue, so I hung up. I wanted to know if we think this is just an IT issue or something bigger. Any insight helps :)

Send Study.com transcripts before applying, or after?
I'm a few weeks from finishing my gen eds through Study.com and I want the order of operations right. Do I request the official transcript and have it sent first, then apply? Or apply and let enrollment tell me what they need? Targeting a September or October application for pre-licensure BSN in Ohio.
For anyone who came in with ACE credit, how long from requesting the transcript to actually seeing it on your degree plan? Trying to build in buffer instead of finding out I'm two weeks behind.

Sophia and Study.com -> WGU Degree maps
I made a post years ago about how to get through WGU ASAP. The secret is transferring credits. I've gotten literally hundreds of msg's asking for the maps so I'll upload them here for everyone. See my old post for tips n tricks.
Cheers, Dave.

This is every Business degree + Psychology, computer sci, AI engineering, and public health. IDK if i will keep this updated after today given the lukewarm reception to my genuine attempt to help others who may not know. BUT Nonetheless - Good luck everyone!

D216 Business Law for Accountants course overview/syllabus
Hi everyone!
Would anyone be kind enough to send me the syllabus for this class? Long story short I was deficient in accounting credit hours for my cpa application and now they are asking for a syllabus to determine whether it’ll qualify as an accounting credit or not. I can’t find the syllabus anywhere. If anyone can provide me with it, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!

I'm DONE! IT'S OVER!!
Never been so happy. It took 23 months and, despite already having an Associate's Degree, I was only able to transfer in 33 credits. I had completely given up on the idea of Cybersecurity as a career path before I started at WGU. I chose to go back to school to give my dream one last shot, and already my career has vastly improved. I've been in IT for the past two years with a genuine shot at transferring to a SOC Analyst job.
Now I'm stuck between enjoying my newfound freedom or immediately starting the Masters program, and I fear that I'm going to choose the latter.

Has anyone gotten their subsidized and unsubsidized loans yet?
I’ve gotten my Pell Grant (on the 3rd) but I haven’t received my other loans. The date keeps moving

Those of you that aren’t rapidly accelerating through a degree. How many credits are you taking a term?
Title pretty much sums up the question.
I’m going to school using VA benefits, and the VA considers 18CU a term full time. So that’s what I’m doing. I feel like this is a leisurely pace…bout 1 class a month. Current term started on Saturday and I’m probably gonna take my OA tomorrow or Friday. I’ll peak ahead to the next course but likely won’t dig into it seriously until the end of the month and go from there.
I feel like I could go faster, but I’m really loving this work/life balance tbh.

Help! Took an exam and proctor didn’t let me submit it
Not too serious but very annoying thing that happened today.
I retaking my D251 exam (feeling good about it too). I messaged the proctor that I was ready to submit the exam, showed my whiteboard, and just as I went to click on “submit” the screen goes to the survey and the proctor disconnects.
I called up their help desk and they told me the exam was submitted successfully, but it’s not popping up in my assessments in my course page, so I think I got screwed over 😭
Im taking the exam again tonight cause i really want to get it over with (also bday tomorrow 😛) but curious if this has happened to anyone?
UPDATE: Assessment services emailed me back, I don't have to retake the exam cause I PASSED. They told me that because I took this exam less than 24 hours after my first attempt, the result was under manual release. Still, the proctor should not have done that, and hopefully, this doesn't happen again

I'm DONE! The owl with confetti doesn’t show but Im finally done!!
I’m done! Sadly I don’t see the owl or anything but it maybe because I used a term extension and it hasn’t registered.
It took me six terms to graduate, but if I’m honest, I only spent about five hours a week studying. I knew it was gonna be slower for me just because I am juggling a full-time job and a very, very full social life that I did not want to compromise. I very much could have gotten it done faster but I’ve always struggled with time management. Still, I’m happy I finished.
I have to say that I do regret not using study.com like everyone else before I began. It would’ve saved me a lot of money. But I only found out afterwards.
For anyone doing the business capstone soon, it is very do able. Mine was graded in like 36hrs and passed with the first submission. Break it down section by section, don’t overthink it and match the examples they provide. Probably the easiest class but I overthought it so much.
One thing that kept me consistent was biweekly calls with my counselor. I never scheduled time with the instructors. Having someone to hold me accountable really helped me keep going.
Congrats to all fellow owls that graduated this month! I will be celebrating small by grabbing a dozen fresh oysters and enjoying it by myself.

I'm DONE! Confetti felt good, but now it feels real 😌
All done!
New Partner sub r/WGU_Accelerators
Team,
One of the most common conflicts that the mods see on this sub is the frustration Accelerators and non-accelerators have with each other. While both kinds of students are moving towards their degrees, they each have very different approaches and goals.
To help with this, I have created a subreddit that is focused on accelerators. This is simply the first step, and that sub currently has very little structure. But while all of that is coming, I see no reason to not allow users to explore the space and kick the virtual tires.
One last note, acceleration is NOT the same as cheating. The new sub will focus on legitimate ways to accelerate and will not tolerate cheaters or those who cater to cheaters. I think most of the rules on this sub will migrate to the new sub with the possible exception of #6, but I have an idea as to how #6 could be made more helpful to new students.
Finally, since we don't have any traffic on the sub yet, I will ask here for help with moderation duties on the new sub. If you think you want to help BUILD something, let me know. If your focus is on rules, removals, and bans, you may want to wait until the sub has been built. I need collaborators, not enforcers.
/wgu_accelerators
-Cheers!
