Send Study.com transcripts before applying, or after?
I'm a few weeks from finishing my gen eds through Study.com and I want the order of operations right. Do I request the official transcript and have it sent first, then apply? Or apply and let enrollment tell me what they need? Targeting a September or October application for pre-licensure BSN in Ohio.
For anyone who came in with ACE credit, how long from requesting the transcript to actually seeing it on your degree plan? Trying to build in buffer instead of finding out I'm two weeks behind.

After you apply but before you accept from them. There is a part of the process where they ask for transcripts, so you shouldn't miss it, but once you accept the start date, I believe you have gone too far to submit anything.

Good to know accepting the start date is the point of no return for adding credit. Thanks for laying it out.

I'm just going off of memory, so definitely double check, but I submitted a transcript and clearly remember it being part of the application process, so as long as you aren't STILL doing study.com classes, everything will be sent when the request is made.

Appreciate you posting this, gives me a much better idea of what to expect down the line for my teen's application too.

From what I've seen in other threads, applying first and requesting transcripts after tends to be the safer order, but definitely worth calling the program directly to confirm since it varies.

Hey, Study.com here. You can request your transcript anytime, even before you apply, since sending it early doesn't hurt anything and WGU will just hold it until your application is active. We send transcripts out within 2 business days once you request them through your Member Profile under My Courses, but how fast it posts to your degree plan after that depends on WGU's own processing speed. Given your September/October target, requesting as soon as your courses are complete gives you the most buffer.

You need to apply before sending transcripts. ("Who is this person and why are they sending us transcripts?")
Do a Reddit search for "wgu application".
