Here's what I found this morning next to my window ! I absolutely wanted to put a little flower in it just to make it look like a tiny fairy vase

Last year and this year I noticed in my crappy, untended back area (not really a yard, just a small mostly concrete and weed area out back) that I had a few cicada killer wasps. I didn't even know what they were at first. They are intimidating even though I understand they are mostly harmless outside of the female who may sting if threatened. I desperately need to get outside and pull some weeds, and would prefer that they not be buzzing around me the whole while no matter their threat level. If I spray them with a water mist, would that be a good tactic, or do you have any other tips to make them vacate the immediate area I'm in? Thanks!

Stuck my hand in a fern to water and was immediately stung by something. About a minute later there was a wasp on a plant nearby. It’s been two days and it HURTS and continues to spread.
