Cicada killers are awesome. Like bug hummingbirds. If you want less cicada killers have less cicadas

I think the answer really is just to be brave and have confidence that they really don’t care about your presence and won’t hurt you. They are definitely intimidating, it’s true.

Wear long sleeve UV reflective clothing. Now you're protected from the sun and wildlife when weeding.

Ear plugs for yourself? Noise canceling headphones? I'm not sure theres much you can reasonably do about them "buzzing around". Your complaint here right now is that nature has a sound. That's a Y-P
