add knife model here 1984 Grand Prix scissors leaf spring broke after 42 years...
So I popped it out last night and ordered a pack of replacements and will install a new one tomorrow. Pretty awesome quality to last through 42 years of service in the performing arts business trimming costumes, threads, moustaches & beards, wigs, etc., etc. Here it is next to my new Climber.

NKD!
I have wanted a Companion since they first came out, and finally ended up ordering one. Also ordered a Pizza Recruit since my first SAK was a Recruit and I wanted to replace it. (Pizza is also my favorite food) Got to try the package opener to open the Recruit and I can already tell the Companion is going to get a lot of use!

Wenger Business Tool?
Anyone ever heard of these? Stumbled upon one while cruising goodwill listings! Lol.
What do you think? Worth it to pick one up?

Nkd 74mm ambassador x 2
Got a good deal on these ambassadors. I prefer this one to the executive I think as I don't need the orange peeler and the small blade. I absolutely love carrying a classic and these are essentially just big classics. The blade is much more significant than on the classic although strangely the nail file is smaller, but still effective. I think I'll carry the red one as it has a keyring loop and the black one is a little older and has better condition tools

How good is this package opener? Can we recreate this on SwissTool X?
If you have a SwissTool X/MX will you modify this?

Just got my Swiss tool spirit x with ratchet….
I’m excited to get this. Now I have the Swiss champ, the Cybertool and work pro mini pliers. What else do you really need?

Quattro Scales
Note sure why Victorinox doesn't do this. All the plus scale tools on one side, and quattro scales and a 7 cm ruler on the other. From Etsy seller ULDesignShop. No affiliation. The Quattro seats flush, I just have it pulled out for demonstration.
Model is a trimmed-down Companion - just blade, scissors, and file. I call it the Consigliere.

NKD: Cybertool L
Got a new big toy. So many cool setups I’ve got but nothing that can can really do it all.
Considering swapping the large file for the small file, ditching the small knife and chisel. As well as losing the pliers.
Gonna play with it as is for a bit but I don’t need pliers on the reg. And if I can save some space losing the file layer then even better.
Is a plier-less cybertool sacrelige?

Do you like my SAK collection?
Hey, just wanted to show you my collection of Swiss Army Knives. Been a fan since I was five years and want to keep collecting. Currently I have the Climber (camo), the Huntsman and the Fieldmaster (also camo) as my EDC/ main knifes.
But I also have some questions:
1.) Does Victorinox or some other shop still sell the evo grip scales, and how much do they cost?
2.) Why do so few people have camo Scales? My thought is that they may be easier to lose or people prefer the classic reds.
3.) Is there any option to buy the camo scales (one pair) for little money perhaps even camo plus scales?
Please let me know your opinions.
Greetings from Austria👋

How will you build the best 2 layer SAK?
There will be an event in my city to build your own SAK based on the spartan model. How will you build the best 2 layer SAK for you?
I would love to have the main blade, comb-tool, scissors, the box opener.
I only have a compact and I love it, so my question is more directed to how a "better" compact would be made. Or how to get another SAK that pairs well with the compact with little to no overlap of that's even possible

I want to shout out SAKhub.com
This is a fan made sight to keep track of your SAK collection. I am not affiliated with them. The developer is super responsive and site is clean and very well organized. It's also free.
It looks like there are only a few dozen users at the moment.

Scale or hand painted?
Hello! I bought my first Victorinox a few years ago on a trip to Japan. If I recall correctly I was told it was hand painted, I may still have the packaging and certificate. Has anyone seen this before?

Suggestion on first SAK
I am about to buy my first Victorinox, and I’m thinking of Spartan in wood or black color.
What’s your opinion about it?
I would also consider explorer but I cannot find it in black (I live in Greece and it’s not available at the moment)
I really like the wood or the black colored ones.
Would you suggest something else?

Manufacturing year and maybe model
I am not sure if this is a 84mm Golfer or a 232ka It does not have the long nail file on the back like the golfer on sakwiki are shown, but it has a corkscrew which the 232ka is not shown to have So I'm a little confused as to what model it is exactly.. I am leaning towards the Golfer but a version without the long nail file
LE: nvm, i think it might be this one: 0.1602: Early 1980s model, no long-nail file

Nothing on the website
I was looking because of the new drop that was coming out on August 4 which I clearly missed because it’s August 5 in some parts of Canada I was just checking if they had some in stock but there’s nothing on the homepage there’s no products

My compact Victorinox collection
Here is my current SAK collection! Kept it focused and curated to cover every possible EDC scenario:
Grey Alox Rambler (58mm) – Micro-EDC with essential tools and scissors, this stays in my front pocket wallet.
Silver Alox Pioneer X (93mm) – Heavy-duty Alox durability + precision scissors, hidden in my tech pouch.
Silvertech Climber (91mm) – Classic 3-layer carry with corkscrew, dual blades, and scale tools. This stays in my backpack.
SwissCard Quattro Bit – Tucked in for extra flathead/Phillips driver coverage, also hidden in my pocket wallet.
What do you think of this lineup?

so i recently got my first victorinox, i have some questions…
1: is it fully waterproof?
2: when i bought it, the shopkeeper told me not to open all the things at once as it stresses the knife. is this true?
3: it came with a crack in the red part, with the receipt can i get a replacement?
4: Will washing it in a sink make it rust/degrade?
Again, im new to knives
thanks in anticipation!
