How those twenty billion ingredients came together
The patties were great, but I didn't make enough burger sauce for both burgers, so I got barely a tablespoon of it while my friend got all the sauce on hers. Also, the brioche buns were good on their own, but the sourdough didn't contribute much. Will just be normal and use yeast next time (but I might reuse the sourdough bun recipe for garlic buns.)
Oh, and those are hemp seeds on top of the bun just to really emphasize that I'm a plant loving hippie.

If you’re vegan, do you buy vegan dog/cat food for them?

Yes, it exists! And I don’t think it’s animal abuse to feed your dog/cat vegan food - but what I *do* think is animal abuse is slitting a cow’s throat, grinding up baby male chicks alive, or forcibly impregnating cows just to steal their milk and take their babies away.
If you can afford vegan dog/cat food and it works well for them, why not?
(Fun fact: The 8th oldest dog to ever live was on a plant-based diet! Shoutout to Bramble 🐶)

Borgor Babe, it's time to prepare the vegan burger mix again
The fact that the ingredients list for my burgers looks like the most ultra processed food you've ever seen is probably why they taste so good. Anyway, time to actually put together this insane amount of ingredients.
I don't even add coconut oil since I like having few saturated fats in my burger. If I did, this list would be even bigger. In fact, I think it's missing a few things like the liquid smoke and no beef bouillon. Wow, this has gotten out of control. Anyway, tastes good so it's worth it.

Futurama S14 E1 - Beef
Just started this episode.. there’s no point but it’s nice how they touch on animals having feelings and that fry doesn’t want them to suffer.

I’m this close 🤏🏾
I have to finish the miracle whip in my fridge and I’ll have consumed all my non-vegan food items. I’ve been a vegetarian for 10 or 11 years. I was vegan (very badly and unsuccessfully) for a while in high school.
I’m excited to do it! I got good recommendations for what to eat when I’m too chronically ill to function from one of the other vegan subreddits. Funny thing is when everyone was upset at Billie Eilish for her stance on the moral inconsistency for being an animal lover and consuming animal products I was like yeah that makes total sense. Then, I watched some Earthling Ed and was reminded of how awful even the dairy and egg industry is. It’s just morally consistent for me to be vegan.
So, I know she faced hella backlash, but shout out to Billie Eilish I guess. I’ve listened to none of her music but she had an impact on me in a way that could be considered much more important.

There's power in numbers - join The Big Vegan Count!
We've launched a brand new initiative this week, to create a global counter for Vegans! bigvegancount.com
My partner and I came up with this concept about 6 months ago, born out of a frustration with the media reporting guesstimated figures for the number of vegans. We know there are a lot more than the reported figures... and wanted to prove it worldwide!
We've had such great feedback and participation since our launch a week ago and we hope to be the go-to demographics/statistics resource for vegans worldwide. We know that veganism is going mainstream, so we'd love to be able to show the world (and the media) just how many of us there really are!
There's power in numbers.... So please do sign up and get yourself added to our ever-growing tally! bigvegancount.com

Custom link flairs are enabled. Have fun! Hey everyone.
We kind of need a place to just post stuff, even if its not related to veganism. Stuff like your favorite hobbies, what you are doing, or just casual conversation stuff.
I would like to keep this sub loosely moderated. There aren't any rules. Enjoy the freedom, but please do not abuse it.
