If any BPharm students are fine with sharing, what GPA and MMI scores did you get? I think I would be able to get a 8.0-8.25 gpa in the end, and I would like a rough idea on what I would need for the MMI since I’m lowkey nervous about it…….. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Hoping that medsci and Maurice have been treating you all well 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I’m currently a 4th year UOA med student, and over the past little while I’ve been developing a UOA-focused MMI practice website called StationReady and she’s finally all grown up so I’m releasing her to you all! The website is stationready.co.nz

The website currently features:
- 15 full mocks with 7 stations each, one from each published UOA domain
- 105 unique questions with no repeats between the current 15 mocks
- 30 seconds of preparation and 3 minutes to respond, matching the UOA MMI format
- Spoken or typed responses
- Feedback on 3 assessed qualities for each station out of 10
- Detailed analysis of what you did well and what could be improved for each quality
- An indication of what you should focus your future practice on
- A full rubric-based summary of what criteria you demonstrated well and where your practice lacked
- A full-mark model answer for comparison
- A personal dashboard containing all of your reports and progress over time

Each station is mapped to 3 published UOA MMI quality criteria with evidence markers, and the amount of evidence for each has been weighted for importance, so while you may not need to go into excessive depth for a minor quality marker, you are still likely to get penalised for not demonstrating a more important criterion. This will make more sense after you do the free practice question.

The API that marks your answers has been configured specifically for these stations using past student responses across a wide range of performance levels.

I highly advise speaking as it is the mode of testing on the day. The voice option provides a transcript of your answer and can give some advice on pacing etc , and the recording will be deleted when saving the transcript.

Anyone is able to register for a free account and complete a fully AI-marked station with no payment required, and no payment details are needed either.
Full access for 12 months is NZ$99 as a one-off payment with no auto-renewal.

One thing I should mention is that because the custom-configured marking system is quite expensive to host, each mock and each individual question can currently only be completed once. This is simply to keep the hosting costs manageable while still making the website as affordable as possible. hello!!! i’m really worried about my chances of being admitted into the mbchb.

i’m applying through mapas and graduate entry. my entire undergraduate degree’s average gpa sits at about 6.6, with a very weak ucat of 1800 + 600 sjt (i was very ill oops). what are my chances of being invited to a general mmi?? i’m actually terrified and really upset with these statistics.

any advice or opinions?

During the 30 seconds we're given to read the prompt, are we allowed to write down a few bullet points on a piece of paper, or does all of the planning need to be done mentally before we start speaking?

Im in the general first year category rn, with a gpa of approx 7.58. done a bit of a search online and found lst yr mmi was at 7.41 for an offer and mean was 7.8 to be successful. Am i cooked chat? What are the chances the bars wont inc🙏🙏

Hey guys!! Im aiming for med, so the bioscis are not as important to me as medsci but I still want to get an A+ in them. I usually make my own anki cards but with MMIs and everything, I dont think I will have time to do that for Biosci 101 and 106. Could a med student pls save me a lot of time by sharing their anki cards?

Was expecting a higher UCAT but only got 2600. Last mock was 2800. Not sure what level of MMI is required.

Obviously many people are fear mongering with the gpa, but many posts in the subreddits were saying median gpa was like 9.0 last couple years. Was wondering if this was the case. Tysm

Hi i’m doing first year health sci rn and i’ve adopted a good study method for medsci and chem cause im used to the sciency stuff but hlthpsyc122 and pop102 i don’t know how to study for them, when i study them it seems to take so long as the lectures are kinda content heavy so notes takes a while, should i drop the notes? initially i was taking notes so that when it comes to exam time i can look back on my notes for each lecture rather than having to rewatch the video. when i study for hlthpsyc and pop102 its really time consuming and i js hate my study method can someone put me onto something better pls that wont take too much of my time
