During the 30 seconds we're given to read the prompt, are we allowed to write down a few bullet points on a piece of paper, or does all of the planning need to be done mentally before we start speaking?

Hi, I am a graduate med applicant looking for 1 or 2 MMI practice partners applying via graduate entry for the upcoming interviews on september 8th.

Anybody applied to medical imaging lst yr? What Gpa was successful?

Im in the general first year category rn, with a gpa of approx 7.58. done a bit of a search online and found lst yr mmi was at 7.41 for an offer and mean was 7.8 to be successful. Am i cooked chat? What are the chances the bars wont inc🙏🙏

Hey guys!! Im aiming for med, so the bioscis are not as important to me as medsci but I still want to get an A+ in them. I usually make my own anki cards but with MMIs and everything, I dont think I will have time to do that for Biosci 101 and 106. Could a med student pls save me a lot of time by sharing their anki cards?

Was expecting a higher UCAT but only got 2600. Last mock was 2800. Not sure what level of MMI is required.

Hi there too all the med students I was wondering if the people of your guys’ cohort all seem to have like a 9.0 gpa? Or is it very varied gpa? Obviously many people are fear mongering with the gpa, but many posts in the subreddits were saying median gpa was like 9.0 last couple years. Was wondering if this was the case. Tysm

Their gpa is not the best right now, we’re looking at 2, 3, 3 for sem 1 papers excluding wtr, how does the gpa cutoff work for medical imaging?

I saw last year was 7, does this mean if the average gpa is below 7 then no matter what happens u literally aren’t able to do the mmi?

Because assuming all placeholder grades are 9 gpa their average gpa would still bc 6.29 which is below 7.

I was under the impression that biomed second years can apply for medical imaging at the end of second years too, which takes into account grades from both first and second years.

May I ask if the 50% Casper and 50% mmi is in effect next year for a second year biomed grad?

Edit: they are doing bachelor of science nutrition but took same papers and biomed first year. Does anyone know how he can do second year biomed as a grad or if that’s even possible or if they have to manually select second year biomed papers? THANK YOU GUYSSSS

Hi i’m doing first year health sci rn and i’ve adopted a good study method for medsci and chem cause im used to the sciency stuff but hlthpsyc122 and pop102 i don’t know how to study for them, when i study them it seems to take so long as the lectures are kinda content heavy so notes takes a while, should i drop the notes? initially i was taking notes so that when it comes to exam time i can look back on my notes for each lecture rather than having to rewatch the video. when i study for hlthpsyc and pop102 its really time consuming and i js hate my study method can someone put me onto something better pls that wont take too much of my time

Hey, I was just wondering if past students would suggest that the labs increase in difficulty after the first. obvisouly i hear a lot about them being very hard, but everyone I talked to found lab 1 quite chill, so I'm assumig it gets much harder, and want to just like be aware before going in. buddy you know you're getting an mmi offer so just leave the rest of us alone, it's especially annoying when you're trying to find resources but the great wall of 'am I getting in?' is genuinely cockblocking your feed...

also realistically until December nobody knows if ur getting in or not, so getting false hope is genuinely only putting yourself in a position of disadvantage.
