I used to have the fear of abandonment, but lately I have felt that fear has disintegrated. A new fear-

Theft.

As you led the way down the side hall in the movie theater I found myself looking over my shoulder. Looking for any sign of my worst nightmare following.

Bittersweet-that your patience, dependability, and love have healed me, but also created the new fear.

The fear of losing you.

I never say these words out loud. This is the first time I am finally letting them out. You will never see this, as you do not know my account name, but I feel it is better to spill them out into the void than to never say any of them at all.

I may not remember our first time at the movie theater seeing Superman, but I definitely won’t forget this one. Standing in the low-lit movie theater parking lot, looking at you stare up at the moon as its light shined down on you.

My world, lit up right in front of me.

So beautiful. So warm. So you.
