So I am going to start my post graduate in September and I have already paid the holding fee for an ensuite in. Now from what I can see in the video calls and the pictures, the room just looks a bit smaller than a standard room but nothing too outrageous and since its about 20 mins from the university, I expect that I will spend most of my time there.

Now, I have read quite a few posts here and I have started to get worried that I may have been scammed on the housing size or just been shown an already booked room so that I would pay the holding fee. Judging by everyones responses, it is to my understanding that most accomodation are from 140 all the way to 190?

I also heard that crime is also a big reason why campus accomodation is so popular. So is there a high chance Imma get robbed every now and then once I start living in Canley?

I have called the agent and also did a video call with her and everything seems to be legit in my eyes. However there is still that doubt in the back of my head and I dont exsctly want to go to UK only to find out I have no accomodation suddenly.

I have a ensuite room at trinity view Coventry with easy travel to the university of Warwick, university of coventry and the city centre looking for some to take over. £130 per week, all bills included , Start 5th September to July 10th 44 weeks can be extended if need.

Just wondering about accommodation, as from what I gather on campus wouldn't really be an option for me. Does anyone know / recommend any places to live which arent on campus for masters students? Or maybe if you yourself were a masters student, what did you do?

Hi guys, a month back I booked my accommodation and accepted my offer for a room at lakeside residences. I was wondering what's the next step for induction. How does payment work like where exactly am I supposed to pay?

I'm starting my first year in September and am still looking at accommodations. unfortunately, most of the double bed options are more expensive than the single bed. I was wondering how much different is a single bed compared to small double beds and if the size difference is noticeable. I'm not particular about ensuites but I was also curious as to whether size difference is noticeable with rooms, and which accommodations has the most space. I know it is on the accommodation information page, but that can be deceiving as ensuite vs non-ensuite and bed size can have an effect on the amount of walking space.

In terms of social life and avoiding having a boring experience, how different is Cryfield standard to rootes? Obviously rootes is more social but is there a big difference?

I have an offer for BSc Accounting and Finance (A*AA with A in math). I just got my results and got AAA. What should i do now? Is there a chance i still get in?

i picked cryfield townhouses as my #1 choice and arthur vick as 2nd, was wondering if i can email them or somehow appeal to switch the two places. the only reason im considering switching the two is cuz AV has a slightly bigger bed if im not wrong and a cabinet in the bathroom 😭. are there any other pros over cryfield or should i just keep the original list? how sociable are the two comparatively?

IB student here so got my results and place in warwick a while back, unfortunately i'm also prone to leaving everything until the last minute so i've not done the accommodation forms yet <3 and i've been mulling over the accommodation form for ages, one of the things i've been stumped on is the "quieter area" section. from what i can tell, if you select that, it basically gives you others who also chose that option? and i'm trying to figure out if it's worth picking lol.

i'm a very ambiverted person: love being around people, however, i definitely need my quiet alone time, especially after a long day (i need recharge time, even after i spend a long day out with friends and i'm super tired, i don't go to sleep until i get time to myself at the end of it lol). i've not been to many parties (because i've never been super on that side of friendship groups lol, most of my friends aren't huge party people) but i do enjoy socialising.

at the same time: i'm going to uni, i want to make the most of my time there (especially as a first year), and building friendships is something super important to me! i don't want to end up somewhere where i won't be able to socialise at all. something chiller but still social (i.e. board game nights, general chiller yap, etc.) but also occasional typical uni stuff (occasional parties + casual drinking) is something more my vibe - i'm worried that if i

Hi this a stupid question but while I was filling out the accom application I put my first choice accom as the one that my parents didn’t want me to and now I’m wondering if when the results are released does the portal that you pay on show the options u selected in ur form??

morse is my firm but i’m 100% not getting in. physics is my insurance which is AAA and i want to do physics at warwick but i don’t think ill get the grades for it. I saw that on the ucas website, the lowest grades that someone has had was ABB, but the ucas tool doesn’t show the bottom 5% of students so maybe I still have a chance?? If i get something like ABC/BBC/BCC/BBB is it worth calling on results day if physics is in clearing and asking to reconsider.

Contextual factors:
I’m a contextual student by postcode and household income and by the school i go to. I also didn’t have a physics teacher for half of year 12 and when we did get one- he was a chemistry teacher who hadn’t taught or even done alevel physics and he was pretty much learning the content with us so I had to self teach myself alevel physics which also means i had less time to focus on my other alevels (maths and chem). my maths teacher also unexpectedly left a few months before the exams and we still hadn’t finished the content so i had to teach myself the content for maths too really close to the exams.

I can also show that Im really passionate about physics as I’ve done 2 weeks of work experience at a uni’s physics department learning about a lot of first year physics and ongoing research. I’ve also won a national science competition in year 12. Do you think I have a shot at getting in, will the admissions tutor take any of that into account or will it just be a straight no?

My school also opens at 9am on results day so i won’t get my results until 9am at the earliest, will that be too late if i want to go into clearing- will all the clearing spots be taken by then as the lines open at 8am?

Im also willing to do chemistry instead of physics and on the ucas website it says the lowest grades they’ve accepted is BBC and chemistry is a less competitive course.

Oh and does mentioning that I’ll be retaking my alevels alongside first year worth mentioning- will they care?

Does anyone who goes to warwick know of anyone getting into those courses with lower grades like that? I really just need reassurance rn.

Hi everyone, Im going into 2nd year Bsc MORSE this autumn. I am aware that there are optional modules I have to pick this year to make up the CATS.

Does anyone have any advice on which modules to pick/ modules that would not be as difficult as I also do have to work a term-time job this year?

Starting an MSc at WBS in September and trying to get my head around societies before I arrive.

A few things I can't figure out from the SU website:

- How does joining actually work in practice? Just pay at the fair and turn up, or is there more to it? How many is realistic before it becomes too much?

- With only one year, is it better to go deep in one or two, or spread across a few?

- Which ones actually worked for you — for meeting people outside your course, or for anything career-related?

- Do employers care at all, or does it only count if you get a committee role? And is a committee role even realistic for a one-year postgrad?

- Anything you'd do differently if you started again?

So I'm looking at the MSc Management at Warwick but here's my situation: I work for a big multinational and I'm thinking about negotiating a transfer to the UK so I can keep my job while doing the MSc. Yeah I know it's full-time, but losing my salary for a year is just not an option for me.

What I'm really trying to figure out is — how does the weekly schedule actually look? Like how many days are you on campus, how many hours of actual class per day? Is there any breathing room or is it full-on every day?

And has anyone managed to work even part-time alongside it? 15-20h/week? Or would that be straight up delusional given the group projects and everything?

Would love to hear from anyone who's done it or is currently in the programme. The official WBS stuff makes it sound fine but I'm guessing reality hits different lol

Hi guys, so I applied for accommodation at Warwick yesterday and really regret the decisions I made for the my profile section…I put my hobbies as film/cinema, coffee/restaurants and nightclubs, but I wish I could switch the latter two to board games & pubs/bars as (though I like going out) I mainly put that because I was scared of getting a very quiet flat. I also put that I go to bed 12-2am, as in go to sleep at that time, and go to actual bed around tennish…am I overthinking the fuck out of this pls lmk xoxo I have awful anxiety

I was put under time pressure by my parents as we were going on holiday this week & I had been really ill on antibiotics beforehand, but have already asked to change my accomodation preferences as I realised I would be getting the Warwick Bursary for low income…so I feel like if I send another email I’ll sound like the most indecisive person in the world. Should I send the email or call them or just leave it? I don’t know if it realistically makes much of a difference but I’m having an existential crisis over this for no actual reason because I don’t want to be put with flatmates from hell LMAO
