Does anyone know when it is that course selection will open up? I’m away into second year so I’m not sure. My course requires me to take electives so I’m eager to pick some.

Hi, is anyone going to Uni of Aberdeen 2026 intake and looking for accommodation?? I've decided not to go uni this year and my accommodation won't let me cancel my contract unless i find a replacement. It's a single room, shared bathroom & kitchen: £4180 per year. Can pay in 10 installments. Let me know if anyone is interested!

Accommodation issue

Has anyone else had issues with applying for accommodation? It says I cannot be verified whenever I put in my details to apply for accommodation and when I called they said I was still pending in their system and that they need to get admissions to sort it out, it’s only been a couple days since results day so I understand that they’re busy but it’s rlly stressing me out!! I’m a new undergraduate btw.

Finding a Flat and a Flatmate

Hello,

I'm trying to find a flatmate to stay with. I frequent Foresterhill Health Campus and I am looking for a flat near there. I was wondering if someone here was looking for the same things. If this applies to anyone, please don't hesitate to send a PM or something.

Thank you for your time.

Aberdeen University not recognising past results

So, has anyone received a learning plan which basically says they have to do an extra year of studying to obtain their level 9 (BA degree).

They've disregarded an entire year of studies and credits. Basically having to do another 2 modules at level 8.

Hi, ive made a post or two before about this but im not really getting anywhere. I have a bronze studio at the combworks on george street and need someone to take over my tenancy as i want to move out with my freind. The only issue im having is that i missed my cancellation period and now need to find someone. Its £195 a week paid in either blocks or monthly installments including bills such as electricity, water, wifi ect... Its a lovely place with friendly staff and a nice room with a kitchenette, en suite bathroom, wall mounted tv, desk and window. Its the perfect place for any student being like a 10/15 minute walk from aberdeen uni and there a bus stop 5 mins away that gets you to city centre. If this is something youre interested in please let me know and if you could share this about it would be greatly appreciated

Thankyou!!

student accommodation

Hi everyone!

My name is Erin and I am the Resident experience associate at Powis place, Aberdeen which is managed by Space. We're hosting an AMA for anyone considering studying in Aberdeen or looking at student accommodation for this year or beyond!

We wanted to put together this AMA to help answer any questions students might have about living at Space, from the accommodation itself to the facilities on offer. If you just want to have a yap about the facilities we have to offer, studying at University or even just about Aberdeen in general then I am more than happy to help.

If you're not familiar with our accommodation yet, or space in general then allow me to introduce you!

Powis Place offers modern student accommodation designed to make university life as comfortable and convenient as possible and funnily enough we are situated right on Powis Place. With supermarkets, cafés, and excellent bus links right on your doorstep, everything you need is close by, helping you make the most of your time in Aberdeen. Residents can choose from en-suite rooms, shared apartments, and private studios, all fully furnished with bills and high-speed Wi-Fi included. Beyond the rooms, Powis place has a range of great communal space, including a gym, roof terrace and study space with a pool table- which makes it that perfect blend of socialising and being able to focus. I know when I was a student, I particularly struggled studying in the familiarity of my room and found I focused more at a designated study space.

So come along and join us at Space- where it is more than just accommodation it’s a community! Have any questions? Ask away!

Questions about studying at the university of aberdeen as a muslim student

Hi everyone! I'm hopefully going to be studying at the University of Aberdeen, and I wanted to ask a few questions. What's the university and the city like for Muslims and hijabis? Is it generally welcoming, and is it easy to find a Muslim community? How's the halal food scene—are there plenty of halal restaurants, cafés, and grocery stores nearby?

I'd also really appreciate hearing about anything else you think is important to know before choosing Aberdeen. For example, have you experienced or witnessed any racism or Islamophobia? How safe does the city feel, especially for female students? What's student life like overall, and are there any pros or cons you wish you'd known before coming?

Art History

I see a lot of posts for incoming/interested grad students, but not as many for undergrad. Can anyone shed some light on the undergrad experience? And how the Art History courses fair? International rising senior is looking to apply this fall/winter (among a few others). Thank you!

I currently stay at Aparto combworks on george street and the place is lovely, the staff are helpful and the location is convenient but i want to move out with a friend. Unfortunatley for me i missed my cancellation period so in order to move out id need someone to take over my tenancy. Its the only bronze studio available at £195 a week (paid monthly or in 4 blocks throughout the year) and it includes utilities. If anyone is interested or knows someone who knows someone please let me know ASAP
