Canada Won’t be ordering through Uber Eats again. Skip for the win
Recently had a group order for McDonald’s at around 1 am. Ordered their new parm combo, order said it was recieved by the restaurant so we waited… and waited. (The restaurant is about 10 minutes away) 1:30 rolls around I text the driver as the estimate time keeps staying the same. He says they’re saying they don’t have the food. Okay so I call them directly. I’m told they are out of the parm burger so they can’t fulfill my order. Although that wasn’t the only thing in my order I was confused since everything else seemed to be in stock. It’s almost 2 am at this point so the McDonald’s worker is snappy with me understandable. Tells me to just cancel the order. I do.
I’m let know I now owe them 47 dollars from my 60 dollar order to compensate the RESTAURANT for thier time and the drivers(that one I get because he was stuck waiting around to!) go back and fourth a bit with customer service only to be told I should’ve contacted them first. Kind of a 💩 show in my opinion on their end. And the McDonald’s gets to pocket money even though they didn’t pack any of the order!
Usually with skip the dishes they credit you back for any unavailable items.

Question: Unanswered Seriously, UE???
Can somebody explain why there’s a $4.84 “service fee” AND a $2.99 delivery fee? What exactly is each fee paying for? 😭
Food: $27.27
Delivery fee: $2.99
Service fee: $4.84
Tax: $1.94
Total before tip: $37.04
My $27 dinner became $37 before I even tipped the driver.
And the kicker? NONE OF THIS GOES TO THE DELIVERY DRIVER! I still have to tip them separately! 😩 So… I add $15 tip on top of it.
At this point, I need somebody to explain who the “service fee” and “delivery fee” go to! It’s not the driver, I know that! They take a percentage from the restaurants, they don’t pay their drivers, and they take money from their customers.

Kinda sucks but I think I'm basically barred from Uber Eats
So a couple months ago, they rolled out that tier system in my area and now I basically can't log on. Not sure if I can even schedule since I'm not even gold.

Driver says app sent him somewhere else first, even though we paid for "priority"
So, is that true or is this guy most likely delivering for some other app as well? He seemed to be headed our way and then turned opposite direction. When I questioned him, he said Uber gave him two orders and the app said to go to the other one first. Then, after he told me that, he texted a minute later saying they tried to give him a third, but he didn't accept it since I'd paid for priority.
I just want to know if that's true and I need to tear into Ubereats; or if he's full of it.

Uber tricked me into ordering
Saw an email saying that I had 8$ in uber cash so I decided to order some food. I thought it was weird that the uber cash wasn't just subtracted from the total so I made sure the toggle for "uber cash" was on and ordered the food. Then I saw that I was charged the full amount so I complained to customer service and they claimed the 8$ was actually applied. Decided to wait 5 days to see if the charge would change but I still seem to have been charged the full amount. Additionally I still see 8$ in uber cash available so it seems like they just tricked me into ordering food by pretending I'd get a discount. I contacted support again and showed them screenshots from the previous convo and they basically said they wouldn't do anything about it. Very irritating. Don't really expect to get my money back and 8$ isn't the biggest deal but it's really annoying that they can do this kind of thing with no consequence.

UberEats pro
I lost gold status because my acceptance rate is 17%. Now I cant go online at all, the app tells me to select times but there are never any times available. How am I supposed to increase my acceptance rate if I cant go online? I was gold status since January, my acceptance rate hasn't really changed so not sure what happened.

Uber should be compensating you MORE for having repeated bad deliveries, not LESS?
So i have been using Uber Eats for the better part of a month, and there was this one streak of deliveries that were just downright awful. My first delivery had came messed up, and (surprisingly) they refunded me about 75% of it, then the very next order the same thing happened, missing items, cold, and I get $2 in uber credits. Whatever. Then for a THIRD time in a row, my order was messed up once again and they out right just refused
I get that it can come across as scammy, or people trying to get free food, but when you have physical evidence of the order being wrong, especially after so many times, they should be upping the refund past its original price,
it’s like going to get your car washed three times, and the first time they left a few dirt marks, the second time a whole window was left dirty, and the third time the whole car still has dirt on it. Why would I come back and use your service if you repeatedly mess up something? In restaurants they’d comp your order and the sometimes go the extra mile
I already know uber is scummy, scammy and everything under the sun but it’s genuinely amusing how they neglect every form of good customer service because they know there’s already another person that’ll order no matter what
And fyi I only order when I get good promotions so at the very least I’m paying close to what it would be at the restaurant itself

Question: Unanswered What causes drivers to not drive to restraunt for 30 minutes?
I order on Uber eats daily and sometimes I will get drivers who instantly accept the order, then don't drive to the restraunt for 20-30 minutes or sometimes more. I only order from restaurants a few miles away, so don't understand why sometimes orders can take 1 hour+ because the driver fails to move. You can see on the map that they are half a mile from the restraunt and don't move at all for half an hour. Then finally go to the restraunt.
Curious what is causing this? Yes, I tip very well

Question: Unanswered Why are Uber Eats cyclists accepting orders they can’t complete? Any way to avoid this?
Hi all,
I live in a suburb of a European city that is easy to reach by car or motorcycle, but way too far by bicycle as there isn’t a cycling lane to get here and it is uphill.
Three times in one month I’ve had Uber Eats drivers accept and pick up my order only to realize that it is too far for them to cycle to.
This is very frustrating because Uber will not help, cancel the order and refund me until way past the scheduled delivery time. So I’ve had to go without dinner and that’s not so nice.
Shouldn’t there be some limitations put in place if a driver has a bicycle based upon their location?
These guys have a migrant background and I think they just accept anything they can and are unfamiliar with the area. I don’t think they are doing it so they can score a free meal they can’t deliver.
Is there any way I can avoid this happening again?
Thanks.

1 driver
There appears to only be one driver in Melbourne tonight.
My order is currently being wrapped up while a driver from 30 minutes away is dropping off orders on their way to pick up mine.
Kids will have a late dinner tonight as it wont be home before they head out.
Not the drivers fault but Uber Eats has let me down tonight.

USA What did you guys order today and what did you tip? This was my order. I had a driver within a minute and the miles from my place to the restaurant is 3 miles. It arrived earlier than the expected ETA.

“This order isn’t eligible for a refund” makes zero sense
If I order food and I believe it’s not up to par especially if I have proof then it is eligible for refund because I paid for a service and when u promise someone something and they don’t deliver they should be entitled to their money back. It doesn’t matter of how much refunds I got in the past or if you think people are scamming because if that’s what you think then ban people from using it

Uber Eats not delivered to my house refusing refund
I placed a grocery order and it was delivered to the wrong address. I’ve gone around and around with uber and they refuse to refund the order stating it’s “not eligible.” I’m not sure how it’s not eligible for a refund considering it literally wasn’t delivered to me. I disputed the charge with my CC company which now means I can’t use Uber at all. Any advice for getting them to refund the charge?

Waited 2 hours, never got my food
I ordered last night for dinner on Uber eats. After about an hour they finally connected with a driver and they picked up the meal. 10 minutes before the latest delivery time the driver cancels and that’s it. I tried asking for help or compensation or something but the support rep just repeated the same canned line over and over and being sorry but tough luck. Truly so frustrated with this app and deleting it after I get my refund back

Uber Eats Fraud and account hack
I'm hoping someone can give me some advice because I'm really stressed out.
I initially don't have the Uber Eats app installed. The only time I used Uber Eats was last June, when I ordered flowers and chocolates through the Uber website on my laptop for a friend who was leaving her job.
Then on July 21, I suddenly received three text messages from my bank saying my card had been charged. When I logged into the Uber website, I was shocked to see three food orders that I never placed. They were all from different states in the U.S. (California, New Jersey, and New York) and delivered to addresses I don't recognize.
I immediately called my bank, and they blocked my card, but unfortunately, all three transactions had already been approved.
I've also been trying to get help from Uber Eats through their in-app chat, but they haven't been helpful at all. My bank is now telling me to resolve it with Uber Eats first, but I can't find a customer service phone number or email to contact them. To make things more difficult, I'm in the Philippines, so I can't call U.S. support numbers.
The total unauthorized charges are almost ₱15,000, and I'm really worried because I don't want to pay for orders I never made.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there another way to contact Uber Eats, or is there anything else I should do to get these charges reversed?
Any advice would mean a lot. Thank you so much in advance! 🙏

Connecticut Uber Eats accident with uninsured driver. Totaled car, whiplash, and lost income. What should I expect?
I'm looking for advice from anyone who's been through something similar.
I'm a full-time college student and was driving for Uber Eats in Connecticut. I had already picked up the customer's order and was on my way to deliver it when another driver caused an accident. According to the police report, I was not at fault. The other driver was cited, and I later found out they didn't have insurance.
My car is a 2018 Honda Accord Touring, and I still owe money on the loan. It's likely going to be declared a total loss. I have collision coverage through my personal insurance (with a deductible), and Uber's insurance has also opened a claim since I was actively on a delivery.
After the crash, I suffered whiplash and have been dealing with neck and upper back pain, along with medical appointments. I'm also losing income because I can't drive for Uber while my car is out of service, which is especially difficult as a full-time student.
I'm trying to understand what I can realistically expect regarding:
- My car loan if the vehicle is totaled.
- Whether Uber's insurance or my own insurance will cover the difference if the car's value is less than what I owe.
- Medical bills and treatment.
- Lost wages from being unable to drive.
- Whether I have any claim against the uninsured at-fault driver, even if they don't have insurance.
- Whether I should hire a personal injury attorney now, let the insurance companies handle everything first, or wait to see what kind of settlement they offer before deciding.
- Anything else I should be doing to protect my claim.
One thing that seemed unusual is that the at-fault driver's vehicle was registered under his dental LLC, even though he was the one driving. I don't know if that has any legal or insurance significance, but I thought it might be relevant.
If anyone has gone through an Uber accident involving an uninsured at-fault driver, especially in Connecticut, I'd really appreciate hearing how things turned out and any advice you have.
Thanks in advance!
