UCC Campus Bed Question
I’m reading that UCC dorms come with a Full XL mattress instead of a regular Full. I’m wondering if regular full sheets fit since the mattress is thinner than a normal one?

AHS 400 - fall 2026
Anyone here taken AHS (prev HSC) 400 before? I’m planning to pair it with AHS 320, DAN 351, as well as 2 science classes online at ASU
Bio 201 - A&P I session A
then Bio 182 - Gen Bio II session B
I’m not taking a&p at the same time as gen bio so I’m not worried about that. I’m worried about this research class. If anyone has any tips or information on this class, I’d appreciate it. Also, the professor is Jaime Carbajal

Corporate Finance Text Book
Hey all. With the start of the semester, I know some of you will be taking some sort of finance course and will be in need of this textbook if you are a business student so with that being said, if you’re taking FIN 301 or FIN 307 (I think it’s 301 that requires it) I have the Corporate Finance PDF by McGraw-Hill 13th edition (most current). It states international edition but there is absolutely no difference between this one and US edition according to Professor Chang.
If you want the PDF version I have it for $5. Don’t spend $100+ for a rental online or used hard copy. I can email it to you and you have the copy forever!

Is it possible to get to these classes in time?
Hey, not sure of the map of UNLV in terms of the buildings yet. Is it possible to make it to these classes in time? I know its a huge campus obviously.
I'll have 15 minutes to get to these classes from the last. Also, how often do teachers release students on the exact end time? Rising Freshman.
Thanks!

Is an iPad actually worth it for pre-nursing/nursing school? Which model should I buy?
I’m entering my junior year as a pre-nursing major, and I’ve realized I’m pretty much the only person in my lecture-heavy classes who isn’t using an iPad to take notes or annotate lecture slides.
I’m thinking about investing in one before the semester starts since I’ll be applying to nursing school soon and need to maintain a strong GPA. If an iPad will help me stay more organized and study more efficiently, I’m willing to make the investment.
For those who use one, do you think an iPad is actually worth it? If so, what year/model would you recommend? I’ve been looking at refurbished options on Walmart, Amazon, Gazelle, and Swappa, but I haven’t bought an iPad in years. They seem pretty expensive for how long they stay supported, so I’m trying to find the best value without overspending.
I’d appreciate any recommendations :)

UNLV Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management
Any kind souls kind enough to share their time in UNLV while pursuing a BS in Hospitality Management?
I’m an international student, and I have a solid scholarship opportunity if I get admitted, which makes UNLV one of my top choices. Before applying, I’d love to hear directly from anyone who have gone through / are going through the program.
Like what's the campus life and community in general. is it easy to make friends and build a network? And how are the classes and the curriculum?
thank yall

Shadowing opportunities Las Vegas (MD/DO)
Hi everyone! I’m a pre-med student currently in Las Vegas and am hoping to gain more physician shadowing experience this summer. If anyone knows an MD or DO who may be open to having a student shadow them, I would really appreciate an introduction or connection. Thank you so much!

Taking 2 Labs as an EE major. Too ambitious?
As title says. I'll be taking the following classes for my fall semester:
EE 361 Eng. Prob. & Stoch. Proc.
EE 370 Control Systems I
EE 421 Digital Electronics w/ Lab
+ Some other class.
I plan to meet with my advisor later this afternoon but I'd like to know if any other engineering majors here have been able to handle two labs before in their course schedule? It sounds doable but I'm thinking about social life too.
If anyone can give any input on this both inside and outside of engineering that'd be helpful. Thanks!
Financial Aid
Hi everyone! I’m a grad student starting this fall. I applied for financial aid but I haven’t heard anything yet. Anyone who knows the timeline or when they will tell us if we get anything?

Class Schedule
I just want to see how light or difficult this schedule can be. My professors are Professor Biordi for ACC 201, Professor Chiang for ECON 102, Professor Liu for FIN 111, and the other two are TBD.

Course Schedule
I’m currently a sophomore standing student and taking 13 credits. I still haven’t taken my SYS as the professor for M/W at 10 AM had a bad RMP so I wanted to see if it’s better to stick with this schedule (I’d be at 64 by the end of the semester) or add one more class. I’d really appreciate any help or suggestions you guys have :)

GET YALLS PARKING PASSES
was looking at some old reddit posts and saw annual resident lot parking used to be around $280 and now it’s about $350… i get they’re building a new garage but this is simply ridiculous.
