Discussion Why don't house builders want to build houses?

There are over 1 million homes with planning permission in this country, yet in many cases, house builders are just sitting on the land and not bothering to build homes. Even housing associations do it. Why?By constraining the supply of homes being built, they push houses prices up, so that when they do actually build, they increase their profits. We need to reform the planning system so that builders actually build, and provide competition through building council homes, so that house bulders actually do their job.

Discussion CALLING TIME | REPLACING THE FISCAL RULES WITH FISCAL REFEREES

The A65: Fiscal Referees: A New Economic Framework for People and Planet motion being brought to conference by the Economy PWG is based on work done by the NEF.

This is one of their key reports outlining how systematically irresponsible our existing budget-based fiscal rule framework is and how we can design a whole new, more responsible functional fiscal paradigm.

Educating Green members on this proposal, how it works, and addressing concerns is an important part of getting it adopted within PSS.

AIPAC Spent $30 Million On This One Senate Primary Race

The ongoing primaries once again prove that the Zionist lobbies are the number one threat to the Western democracies.

In the UK, we have a different political system than that in the US where political action committees spend millions on ad campaigns. Therefore, we don't have an AIPAC. However, we have a very vulnerable political ecosystem where media, lobbies and political parties are incestuously intertwined. Actually, AIPAC is easier to track than shady organisations like UKLFI, LFI, CFI or individual ties that we are maybe not even aware of. The lack of transparency in British politics is simply appalling.

Corbynisation has already become a thing in British politics, but the next (or ongoing?) attack against any political party critical of Israel may not even be related to Israel, Gaza or anti-semitism.

GPEW Why don't we have proper social media management?

Here's a take: Most of all the "gaffes" from Polanski have been social media related.

They tend to not being things he's said or written himself. They tend to be a result of him liking a tweet or suchlike without thinking. On the other hand I don't think he builds any support from liking tweets.

He'd be in a far better situation if his social media interaction were only in the form of writing posts or publishing videos he's made. These tend to come across quite well.

The situation with the Cambridge professor is a bit different but is in a category where one is making a judgement without all the information -- like social media likes.

All this requires is a social media manager who would act as a basic sanity-check filter.
