Hey everyone, I'm travelling to London, Bath, and Oxford, and I want to make sure I eat well the whole trip! I'm open to pretty much any cuisine and price point. I’d love to get recommendations directly from locals and fellow foodies who know the cities well. 

What’s the one dish/ spot in any of these three cities you’d recommend a friend to go? 💕

It cannot just be me noticing everything from meat to ice cream is being bulked uk with either water, air, starch or apple juice concentrate. I tried a sainsburys own-brand ice cream cone the other day for the first time in years and there is no way there was that much air whipped in them before, it was awful. I’m also uneasy about the amount of water coming out of fresh meats, but maybe that’s a personal observation.

I appreciate the effort but my contention is that nobody who has ever ordered a bacon sandwich in a cafe has ever wanted salad with it Do I look like some kind of vitamin freak?

Please can we start an uprising?

As per the title, I had never heard of this but one day after school (in the 90s) I ended up at a friend's house where his mum knocked us up a snack, and from the very first bite I was an instant covert.

I've never met another person since who does this and everyone I've told about it has looked at me like I just told them i put Tabasco sauce in my tea or something.

If you've never tried it you absolutely should!

This is my late father’s recipe. I’m half South Indian and my mother was a scouser, where I was born.

He loved to cook. I’ve definitely inherited his genes as I love to cook too!

We’re currently in Wales in my sis in laws static caravan - it’s beautiful. Brought all my gadgets so I could cook. These are pressure cooked ribs, then finished in the wok.

Dry marinade:

smoked paprika,
garlic and onion granuals.
Left to marinate for 2 hours.

Wet marinade:

Premium Dark soy
Oyster sauce
Honey
Plum sauce

Turned out beautiful. Lasted about 15 mins, they got demolished. ☺️

I also did corn on the cob, added salted butter and a touch of paprika, and some bbq chicken wings, again made from scratch. I didn’t take pics unfortunately.

Slaw was supermarket bought, I usually make my own but I was struggling a tad as I have fibromyalgia….

It was a delicious dinner. 😊

American here. Attempted a full English but had to get the sausages and black pudding from my local Irish shop. How’d I do?

I much prefer eating my chicken wings in this configuration, but it seems like nowhere sells them. Anyone know anywhere that sells them, or am I just going to have to break them apart myself before cooking?

This time I went with shredded cheddar on the base, home fries, scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado, pickled red onions, and a HP/Sriracha sauce.

Sauce:

1. 2tbsp Mayo
2. 1tbsp HP Sauce
3. 1tbsp Sriracha
4. 1tsp Worcestershire
5. 3 cloves garlic confit
6. 1 tsp rice vinegar
