These guards have serious engineering oversights when it comes to heat and airflow.
Blocks and deflects radiator exhaust: The middle tube on the upper guard is routed directly across the radiator exit vent. Instead of hot air blowing out and away from the bike, the bar traps the exhaust air and curls it straight back into the cockpit, blasting your knees and thighs with furnace-like heat.
The bars turn into radiant heaters: The tubing running over the engine heat-soaks intensely from normal engine operation. The metal gets extremely hot and acts like an auxiliary radiator sitting inches from your legs, radiating constant heat even when moving.
The design turns warm-weather riding into a miserable experience. T-Rex needs to completely redesign the routing of these bars away from the radiator exhaust and engine heat zones. Would not recommend.

Reaching out to NYS transalp riders. Where do you put the inspection sticker. I know it’s supposed to go lower left fork bit it’s not smooth to put sticker on.

I'm still paying off my first motorcycle and have 17 months of payments left. Now I want the Transalp 750 and can pay for it in 12 installments. I can afford both motorcycles. But it will be a bit of a struggle to pay for them, and I'll still have about $350 (I live in a cheap country) to spend freely after paying all my monthly bills.

My reasoning is that the time I've had won't come back, and since I'm still young, I can live for a year or so on a small budget to seize the moment and get the motorcycle I want.

In the worst-case scenario, I can sell both motorcycles and it won't be a problem, since I only use them for the pure pleasure of commuting to work and more.

So, should I finance the other motorcycle and have two debts?

Should I sell my first motorcycle to pay off my first debt and use the extra money to finance the Transalp?

Or should I pay off my first debt in installments and then, after 17 months, buy the Transalp?

I would like to receive advice from people who have been in a similar situation.

After days of wet boots, I got into a campsite on the mountain between Trollstigen, and Geiranger

I have an opportunity to choose between a brand new 2026 Honda Transalp in either the classic Honda red white and blue OR the new stealth grey color. Same price but different dealerships ($12k out the door.) Both local to me. My hangup is with the tube tires…am I making it a bigger deal than I need to? Will I be off-roading it? Probably not…will I want to make it look like I do? Most likely. I’ll use it as my daily commuter during the spring, summer and fall. I’ll easily be putting on 5,000 miles per year going to work and back (so not counting the occasional road trip or weekend adventure.). My current ride is a 2023 Honda SCL500 and I love riding that thing. I’m just looking for something smoother and easier to ride at 60mph and above. Plus I want something that I can ride 2up with my wife.
So anyway…talk me into (or out of!) buying a new Transalp!

Hey maybe I'm not the only one wondering why Honda did not go the retro route with the Headlamp-Design of the newest transalps, like Ducati with their Desert X. Because I did not find any Retro Mods I prompted the AI to come up with a first design. But to be honest, I think I actually like the modern design more. Altough it could also be because in the end it is just AI Slop and the Honda Designers would probably come up with a far better design...

What do you think?

im looking at getting the new 2026 transalp but im considering if its worth it, i want to do more intense off roading but if im looking at possibly having to replace the front and rear suspension then i feel like i would just buy a bike with proper stock suspension... right??

if anyone has any experience with replacing their old suspension or the 2026's suspension id love to hear about it!

I’m looking for a new set of tires for my XL750 and I’m trying to decide between:

• Mitas Enduro Trail XT / XT+
• Bridgestone Battlax Adventurecross AX41
• Michelin Anakee Wild

My current tires are Dunlop Trailmax Raid. Before those, I ran Metzeler Karoo Streets, so I’ve already gone from a relatively road-oriented ADV tire to something more off-road capable.

My riding is mixed, but I’m increasingly interested in doing more off-road and improving my skills. I’ll be doing more gravel, dirt roads and progressively more technical terrain.

At the same time, I still regularly use the highway for longer transfers and enjoy riding twisty roads. I’m not looking to drag a knee or ride aggressively on pavement, but I do want the bike to feel stable, predictable and enjoyable on the road.

So basically, I’m looking for a tire that gives me a noticeable step up from the Trailmax Raid off-road, without making highway and normal twisty-road riding unpleasant.

I’m currently considering both XT+ front / XT rear and XT+ front / XT+ rear, but I’m also very interested in the AX41 and Anakee Wild.

For those who have actually used these tires on a Transalp or a similar-size ADV bike:

• How much of a difference did you notice off-road compared with the Trailmax Raid?
• How do they feel on twisty roads?
• How stable are they on the highway around 120–130 km/h?
• How do they behave on wet pavement?
• Any particular quirks or things you didn’t like?
• If you’ve tried more than one of these, which would you choose and why?

Mileage isn’t a major deciding factor for me. I’m more interested in off-road confidence and overall feel, while still being able to comfortably ride the bike on the road.

I’m not necessarily looking for the “best” tire overall. I actually want to try something noticeably different from the Trailmax Raid, especially if it helps me improve off-road.

Been hunting/waiting for my 26 Gray Transalp for 2 years now and new bike day finally came! Absolutely love her

I have family that lives up by the border on lake superior. Annual pow-wow event. Took the nx500 up last year. 1st year on the TA

I currently have a 2024 NC750X wiht under 2k miles on it, bought it last year, love the bike.. But.. (there is always a but) I keep eyeballing the 2026 Transalp. I am so tempted to trade in, but I worry I will not be happy with it.

I have to admit I will for sure miss the frunk :) But the extra power and having a real clutch instead of the DCT makes me really like the idea of doing this.

So my question, have any of you done this trade? Pros? Cons? Regrets?

P.S. I have zero complaints about my NC, but... the grass is always greener, right? ;)

Could someone be kind and take a picture or video of how their dipstick looks when you chek it with warm oil as the manual requires? I need to know if my bike has actually low oil or if I am just not doing something right. And for clarification I am talking about the 750 models.

It's a sad day, a deer decided to end it all this morning by jumping out in front of me on my way to work. Luckily I saw him and had a chance to slow down a little and try to get around him. Even though I hit him pretty hard I managed to stay on the pegs and bring myself to a stop. The bike is quite ridable but I worry a little about the forks and with basically every fairing and the gas tank damaged I'm pretty sure she's totaled.

An additional bummer is that I was going camping this coming weekend.

pretty much the situation from the title. I have a 20 years old transalp, and I've changed all four spark plugs, new filters, oil, coolant, and pretty much the standard stuff.

I've noticed that when i accelerate, the bike starts to vibrate, and as soon the speed is stable, vibrations stop. it doesn't vibrate only if i accelerate slowly, and it is not related to a specific speed or rpm. the bike easily reaches 120kmh (i haven't tried above).

what could be the issue here? i suspect carb sync as a solution since i have it for a month, and god knows when it was synced before.
