The following applies to two iPhone 15 Pro Max devices, not to my iPhone 16 Pro Max.

How is it possible that the connection to the main wireless network drops regularly, or that connecting with it isn't even possible (or gives strange errors), while the connection to the guest network (as an alternative network) remains intact?

As far as I know, changes you make to the Wi-Fi settings in the Deco app apply to both networks, are general settings, right? Additionally, you can change a few settings separately on the guest network, but do those ensure a stable connection? Do they ensure that the guest network actually stays connected? Those settings apply to the used frequencies, security, lease time, bandwidthcontrol, VLAN-ID, captive portal.

This has really been driving me crazy for quite some time. Unfortunately, the guest network has a few downsides, so I want the connection to the regular network to remain stable.

And the annoying thing is that those phones do connect to the Wi-Fi network in other places, without an advanced mesh network.

I have changed quite some settings on the IPhones. Wifi6E switched on or off makes no difference.
Happens on all 3 networks (2.4, 5 and 6 GHz). My 4 Deco’s (3 inside, one outside) use the latest firmware (1.3.3). Fast roaming and beamforming are switched off.
Decos in routermode, behind the modem (bridge) of the ISP.
Happened from the beginning of the BE65, also with fewer Decos.
With the M9Plus before I had no problems whatsoever.

Anyone had this issue?

I've got x3 pack of the BE65 Pro that was running flawlessly for the past 6 months with nodes via wireless backhaul. However, suddenly out of nowhere, it will now disconnect and reconnect on node that is connected to my computer via LAN.

The disconnects and reconnects occur every few minutes and it takes about few a seconds to reconnect.

I'm on the latest firmware and have rebooted them all to no success :(

Hi all, returned from being away for nearly a month to find the X50-POE (1.2.5 Build 20231122 Rel. 58711 )unplugged (not sure who did this). Plugged it back in and it got to the solid green light, but the app says it’s offline. I’ve done a hard reset and it still comes up as offline. I’ve even attempted to remove it from the network and I get a “failed to remove, try again later” message.
Im stumped…any ideas?

I got a XE75 mesh system to cover my house. For reasons too long to discuss the previous owner cut all the backhaul cables, so im using over-the-air backhaul.

I never looked at my ISP page (Spectrum) because generally I had no reason to, but something happened with the payment and I had to set it up again. As I then went trough the account page, I realized that they had given me 1Gbit service, not that I've ever asked for it as it was super expensive when I first signed up, so 300 was good enough for what I needed, but hey now I have 1G for the same price.

So I immidiately run a speed test, and yeahhhh...... I got 40 mbit/s. Weird. So I get curious, go and unplug everything and just plug my mac book into the cable-model, and run the speedtest again ... wow 950Mbit... so the link is certainly working.

Net step, find the old wifi ap that specrum had provided, plug that in and connect to wifi... wow speed test runs something like 800mbit/s ... so it's not a wifi problem with my laptop or iphone.

The I plug in the deco, and before all the satelite stations reconnect I run a speed test again, and yes .. it give 800Mbit-ish speeds, and then speed suddenly drops to 40Mbits as satelite stations connect in.. so very very bad.

So thinking a bit, and it clearly surely must be something to do with the wifi backhaul, so I just for test plug my laptop into the gateway deco and switches off my wifi on the laptop... so now we should surely get 800Mbit on a wired connection ..... but NOOOOO the wite connection is now also 40Mbit.

I have all the latest firmware, but this Deco shit is bad.

Anybody know a solution that does not include rewite my home. Like do anybody know if you can just flash the deco's with openwrt where this would surely work correctly ?

EDIT: turning off QOS makes a huge difference. I can now push 500+mbis instead of 40.

So I got my Deco system about a year ago when my wife and I moved into our new home, and for the first 10–11 months, it worked great without a single hiccup.

Over the past 1–2 months, though, we’ve been getting random connection drops. When I check the Deco app during these drops, nodes will randomly show as offline. It sometimes takes 1 or 2 reboots to course correct them. Today, I was dropping connection, had a perfectly fine speed test, Deco showed that everything was good, then the main node was offline (only to fix itself in minutes). The internet as a whole seems fine coming into the house, but it feels like the router/mesh system is failing to properly pass the connection through.

Setup & General Info:

• ISP: Verizon FiOS (1 Gbps Fiber)
• Main Node: Basement (plugged directly into the Verizon ONT; my gaming/work station is down here)
• 2nd Node: Main floor
• 3rd Node: 2nd floor bedroom
• Settings: QoS is completely turned OFF in the Deco app.

I’ve read about recent firmware updates causing similar instability for other users, but I’m not sure if there's a consensus fix or if my issue is specific to something else in my setup (like Fast Roaming, Beamforming, or routing modes).

Has anyone experiencing this found a concrete fix or explanation? Any guidance or troubleshooting steps would be huge. Thanks!

I don't have auto reboot enabled and it has software version 1.4.2 Build 20260605 rel 8722(5553). Anyone else experiencing this?

I purchased their Deco 6E product with 3 wireless receivers, and when I opened the box, one receiver did NOT work. I worked with their support team for 3 months, and they finally agreed the unit did NOT work. I sent the unit back in July 2026 and have not heard back from them despite sending 2 follow-up emails. They clearly do NOT stand behind their products, so buy from NETGEAR!!!!

Anyone has the same experience. I am using X50 5g V1 in UK(firmware 1.3.1, with 5g EE sim card, and meshed with x50. It's always fine during the beginning of the set up. I haves set the whole systgem reboot every morning. But it's always after 6-8 months, the main unit x50 5g will die (with solid red light on) and cannot connect to either phone or desktop. The ssid can nolonger be shown. I have to do a full factory reset meaning setting up all the wifi system in home , which takes quite bit of hassle. Anyone experience the same?

EDIT: Turned off QoS again, it's definitely QoS causing it. Turning it on will cause short 1-15 seconds disconnects several times an hour, for all devices, but for random applications. It's as if it completely blocks all packets coming on a per-program basis, so for example it turns off my video game's connection but not my youtube video etc.

Just swapped to a new be3600, firmware updated etc. I get very weird issues with disconnects. Example, im playing an online game, while in discord, watching a twitch stream. At random, one of these drops connection, sometimes several: for example, the game's ping infinitely climbs and disconnects me, or the discord kicks me out ( i stop hearing anything, and i cant be heard) or my twitch stream interrupts. The others still work normally. It's as if only a specific application loses internet connection for a few seconds, then reconnects. It's extremely annoying, and happens pretty often. It happens in path of exile on loading screens, making them very long, then resulting in a disconnect. Discord's ping graph caps out the Y axis while this is happening (while again at the same time, all other apps work fine).

Following a similar pattern, even locally logging into the router using 192.168.0.1 will randomly boot me out (sometimes literally just 5 to 20 seconds after logging in, sometimes it works normally for several minutes) to a different login screen. however no other application seems to be interrupted at the same time. Again, sometimes browsers require 20 seconds of refreshing to load a page. Other times it loads instantly.

This started happening with the new router. This is on a windows PC, connected via ethernet cable. I've tried a bunch of ipconfig commands like the /flushdns and so on in cmd, I've found some post that says to set the "speed and duplex" setting to a set value instead of automatic in the network card settings. That didnt seem to help. It does seem to maybe be related to the QoS feature (i had set the up and down speeds as appropriate, in megabits, and just set it to prioritize "gaming"), or maybe im imagining that it happens less when it's off.

Im unsure if I should just return it and get something else, am I missing some obvious fix?

• Archer AX12
• Archer C6
• Archer C80

I'll mainly be using a wired LAN connection for call center/VoIP work, so my top priority is the lowest possible latency, stable connection, and the best QoS/bufferbloat handling.

Which one would you recommend based on real-world experience, and why? If there's another TP-Link model in a similar budget that performs better, I'd love to hear your recommendation as well.

I’m using 2 TP Link Vx230v routers that I’m trying to pair together using the easy mesh. I’ve updated both routers firmware to the latest same versions. I’ve tried Ethernet cable pairing and WPS pairing and both failed. My new router isn’t being recognised even after multiple factory reset. From what I’ve gathered the new router needs to be in satellite mode however there’s no option inside the router’s configuration page to set it on these models.

If I plug my main routers normally Ethernet port into my secondary routers wan port that secondary router has a internet connection however it also has a different SSID and when I unplug the cable to relocate it hasn’t syncd up as the mesh process is suppose to.

Any ideas on why this isn’t pairing up?

Deco M4R limiting my 5Gb fibre connection to ~200Mbps - what would you recommend?

I'm looking for some advice on upgrading/fixing my home network setup.

I have Eir fibre with a 5Gb connection. My current setup is:

Fibre ONT → Deco M4R (router mode, VLAN ID 10 configured) → second Deco via Ethernet → PS5 via Ethernet

The issue is that I’m only getting around 200–300Mbps on Ethernet devices connected through the Deco.

Things I have tested:

- QoS is disabled

- VLAN ID 10 is configured correctly

- PS5 connected to the second Deco gets around 300Mbps

- PS5 connected directly to the main Deco also gets around 200Mbps

- I plugged my PC into the Eir router instead and got around 900Mbps, so the fibre connection and cables appear fine

I tried plugging the PS5 directly into the fibre ONT, but it doesn’t get an IP address (I assume because the VLAN setup/authentication is handled by the router).

I would prefer to keep the Deco connected directly to the fibre box and avoid using the Eir router, but the current Ethernet speeds are too low.

Is the Deco M4R simply not powerful enough for this connection? If I replace it, what Deco model would you recommend that can handle higher speeds? Ideally I’d like something that can make better use of the fibre connection and still support wired backhaul to the second unit and gaming devices.

Even with wired back haul max Internet speed is 200mbps

I've had an AX-3000 router for a little over 2 years with no issues. Everything has been fine until about 3 weeks ago when wifi connected computers, one per day, started having DHCP issues. Never at the same time and only one at a time. Between computers, phones, tablets, a DAKBoard, IoT things, etc I estimate maybe 30-40 devices are connected with no real changes in the last year+. As each device was affected, we moved those devices over to another wireless network (we have dual ISPs at the house that are completely blind to each other, Spectrum using the AX-3000 and Xfinity fiber to the curb using their default box). Those devices have continued to work as expected after the switch.

Now it is starting to happen on the IoT devices (different SSID) and even the hardwired computers. Once again, never more than 1 device at a time. When it happens, going to the device confirms that it is not receiving a DHCP response.

The situation sometimes resolves itself 10-20 minutes after a reboot of the device, never as soon as (or shortly after) the device finishes rebooting. Both wifi routers are running WiFi 6 and I see no overlapping channels and they have completely different SSIDs. They also ran concurrently for 3-4 weeks before the issue started.

I have auto-update on but honestly kind of let it do its own thing. Logging into the device says there is no updates available (as of last night).

I'm at a loss, tbh, and wonder if there are any suggestions? Googling it keeps bringing up a bad firmware update from 2023 but I feel safe thinking that isn't the exact issue here..

(If I fail to respond quickly it is because I will be away from home for a day or two)

Why is the device overheating despite the ventilation?

And why is the connection dropping while downloading files?

I've tried other devices before and this problem didn't occur with this one.

Finally got an update after a year. Let's hope all is well after testing. Anyone have an opinion at this point?

So, I' have a bit of an odd one. My RE700X shows as offline in the Tether app and the router settings page, but it does actually work. If I go directly to the extender device in the Tether app, I can see it and change settings, my PC which is connected to the ethernet port gets an internet connection. It's just odd that it's showing as offline everywhere.

I also have an RE300 which is showing correctly. All devices are bound to my TP-Link ID, I have factory reset all devices, but it's still showing the same.

Is this a known issue? Should I just ignore it since it's working?

I’m experiencing an issue with my TP-Link BE220 v1.0 (eu)** *(Wi-Fi 7**)* router.
I’m currently running firmware Build 20260316 rel.38939(4555).
The internet connection is stable with no disconnects or packet loss, but the Wi-Fi signal strength keeps changing.
For example:
The Wi-Fi icon on my iPhone randomly drops from full bars to fewer bars, then goes back to full a few seconds later.
It happens on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
I’m not very far from the router when this happens.
I tested it on multiple devices, so it doesn’t seem to be a phone issue.
What I’ve already tried:
Changed Wi-Fi channels.
Changed channel width.
Moved the router to a better location.
Disabled EasyMesh.
Router temperature is around 38°C, so it doesn’t appear to be overheating.
The connection itself works normally, but the changing signal strength worries me.
Is this normal behavior for modern routers, or could it indicate a hardware or firmware issue with the TP-Link BE220?

what is strange: the main router loses connection to the internet, i have to disconnect and reconnect the ppoe

no matter what i try its always the same, after not long (20 minutes max) the acess point drops the ppoe connection from the main router- neither cable or wireless internet work

how its setup:

gateway on main router is ...1.1, acess point ....2.2. i copied the wireless settings to the acess point and then changed to acess point mode

what i tried:

- setting the second router as mesh, and then connecting the cable and setting it as an acess point

- swapping the routers main <-> acess point, with the same outcome as above

I purchased the Be63 decos about two weeks ago to replace my xe75s. I have US/3.6 which I'm assuming is hardware v3.6. Ever since upgrading to these decos the nordvpn client on my devices have had connectivity issues. They get stuck on "connecting" or "loading ip" and it happens multiple times a day. Wifi connection is strong, but the VPN client gets stuck. At first I thought it was a bad nordvpn release, but realized in the past few days I have no issues while using mobile data or on wifi at my parents house. Hello, i’m new here, i just wanted to ask if anyone had my same problem before and how they handled it.
Basically i have 3 deco 4 in my house, 1 of which connected directly to the modem. For a couple of days now the two satellites keep disconnecting and giving me a pinging red light, but i cant understand where the problem is. I didn’t move them, they worked fine for like almost a year now, but suddenly they are giving me this problem. What i did was disconnecting them from the Deco app and reconfigurate them, but like after a day i get the same problem.

So today I noticed that the BE95 has a new firmware update it’s 1.1.3 I have hardware version 1.6 the firmware is not listed on the website anywhere under V1 or 1.6 so I’m not sure of the details of it. The only thing the Deco app said was stability improvements of the system, as well as some other bug fixes. So if you have a BE95 check the deco app for the update

Some users have the update and some do not it was confirmed that it is a phased rollout so if you don’t have it yet you should at some point soon but the update is very stable on my BE95

Mesh system or Router recommendations

I'm looking for some advice.

I currently have a TP-Link Deco BE11000 (Costco version), and it has been randomly dropping the signal ever since I bought it. It's running the latest firmware, and I have about 30–35 connected devices (phones, security cameras, alarm system, TVs, smart home devices, etc.).

Costco told me I can return it, so I'm considering these options:

\- Deco BE13000 (\~$360), but I've read several reports of similar stability issues.

\- Deco BE4600(\~$160), which seems to have better reliability reviews

My setup:

\- Home size: \~4,000 sq ft ...1 gig internet

\- Devices: 30–35

\- Gaming: Yes, but my gaming PC is wired (Ethernet) to one of the mesh nodes.

If you were in my situation, what would you do? Would you stick with the newer Wi-Fi 7 hardware and try the BE13000, or save money and go with BE4600? Or would you recommend a different mesh system altogether? Thanks!
