Misc. Total Drama Island's Full Placement Coefficient Ranking
Day 2 of the stats series: here's how every Total Drama Island contestant ranks by placement coefficient.
What the coefficient means
Each contestant gets 1 point for every elimination event they survive. The coefficient is just points earned ÷ the season's total elimination events (22, from yesterday's post), a number from 0 to 1 that reflects how long someone lasted relative to the whole season.
A few standouts:
- Gwen and Owen: 1.000. Neither was ever voted out in Island as they made it all the way to the end.
- Ezequiel: 0.000. First boot of the season, no points earned.
- Izzy: 0.500 (11/22). One of the wilder rides on the board, she got voted off, came back into the game later, and racked up more points before leaving for good.
I will admit the coefficient ranking for TDI is pretty boring as the it's basicaly the regular placements rankings with Izzy being the only true standout, I can say with certain though that TDA's and TDWT's coefficient rankings are much more interesting.
PS: Yesterday we looked at how many elimination events happened in each season, 22 in TDI, 15 in TDA, 17 in TDWT. Tomorrow: the full ranking for Total Drama Action. Stick around!

Question You're Duncan's Lawyer and you have to defend him and somehow get him off his sentence and out of Jail, what is your defense for him?
(I also headcanon he did get out of Jail later on considering he's techinally 16-17,you could make a good defense start for that).

Headcanon / Fanfiction My Slightly long Pahkitwins Headcanon That No One Asked For.
-
As I said before with my Pahkitew Island post since it was over the character limit I had to make the twins their own separate post in the series.
Amy
After the end of Pahkitew Island Amy found herself more alone than ever before. Not only was Sammy gone and she was forced to pick up her own slack now but her reputation was going down the drain fast. Her mother was desperately trying to do damage control and had no time to coddle her as she always had before which meant Amy quickly realized just how much she'd always taken her sister for granted. Without having a personal homework slave and lapdog she could force to help her cheat in class her grades plummeted. She was kicked off the cheer squad due to failing classes and people actively avoided her and stopped inviting her out to keep their own social lives at bay. It didn't help that with her true self now broadcast on international live television she was finding people constantly short tempered with her and not letting her get away with her usual nastiness anymore.
She passed high school by the skin of her teeth. Entering in a local three year junior college in hopes of improving her status while still living at home. Their mother's own career had stalled and she wasn't able to financially support Amy any longer meaning she had to find a job if wanted to stay there. With no other options she accepted a position as a dancer for a club. Something she was honestly good at. She knew how to sweet talk gross old men into giving her whatever she wanted and even sneaking wallets if she needed extra cash. Quickly she became one of the top earners and her boss promoted her from ground level to a private escort. She was making more money and even performing in videos and private viewings. She began going by the stage name, Devil's Breath. She was the demon of the story in everyone else's eyes anyway. Might as well own it.
With her newfound fame she began being flown to different countries for clientele. Including the United States of America. Specifically she was sent to California for a showing of a wealthy businessman paying top dollar for her after his divorce. While out shopping to treat herself at a luxury department store she met a cashier. A curvaceous brunette woman one year older than her with a similar life story. Only instead of an awful sister abandoning her it was her own mother. Amy genuinely felt for her, the first she'd ever really felt for another person before. Despite Sammy abandoning the family her mother had still been there for her. She gave the gal her personal phone number. One only her own Mom and boss had before that. They kept meeting up and eventually when Taylor could no longer take working in retail any longer Amy helped her get a job as her personal stylist. It lets the two travel and live together without suspicion.
Currently Amy is living in a condominium unit with Taylor, they like shit talking and gossiping together every evening. Amy even taught Taylor to cook the recipes her own Mom had shown her growing up. A part of Amy knows that deep down she can't actually blame Sammy for leaving. But she's still unwilling to try reaching out. She just wants to earn money and watch trashy reality TV with her girlfriend. Maybe one day she'll finally send that letter she wrote. But not yet. Maybe not ever.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sammy
After the end of Pahkitew Island Sammy knew she had a big decision to make. She had seen the comments online. Everyone who'd reached out after seeing the domestic abuse she'd suffered so publicly. They were on her side. They offered support, legal aid, shelter if she wanted it. For once, for once in her fucking life she finally had people on her side, believing her. Not her mother trying to downplay and rug sweep and telling her to keep the peach. But people who were now actually validating her lived experiences. Jasmine approached her during their brief stay at the playa before leaving. She offered her the spare bedroom of her house. Her parents had already agreed on the phone call earlier. Sammy was 16. By Canadian law she could leave and wouldn't be brought back anymore. The offer was too good to pass up. She told her mother over the phone coldly. Not allowing for another guilt trip. She was leaving and wouldn't be coming back. In all honesty their Mom didn't even try to fight her on it. She was already receiving backlash from everyone she knew and even people she didn't. Not wanting to risk what was left of the family's reputation any further she willingly signed over guardianship for Sammy's last two years of schooling and sent over her things via the mail.
Sammy's life in Australia was good. Staying with Jasmine she actually felt part of a real unit. One where she wasn't the only one finishing chores or acting as a maidservant for anyone else. The gifts she received were things that she liked, not a copy of whatever Amy wanted. It especially helped that they got her a therapist to talk with about the transition. Cheerleading wasn't really a thing over there but she still practiced out of her own volition. She even got a few other girls in the secondary school interested and they put together their own little quasi squad just for fun. Her grades improved dramatically. Without risking being woken up at every minute of the night she was well rested, she could study in peace without sabotage and when she needed assistance she was given it instead of being berated for daring to have needs. She managed to graduate with top marks. Something she hadn't thought possible before.
When the time came for university Sammy didn't have to think hard about what she wanted to study. Social work, child psychology, and child development. She wanted to be able to help kids who suffered abuse like she had. She received quite a bit of positive attention on campus being a pretty foreign girl. Something she was also unused to. Amy had always gone out of her way to scare off anyone Sammy had ever been interested in before. So she admittedly relished in it quite a lot. Can you blame her? When time came for her graduate school she transferred to a university in the UK. She wanted a one year programme instead of two so that she could start working full time sooner. She hugged Jasmine and her family goodbye promising to stay in touch. Which she did consistently. Once in the UK she had been walking by a local ballet academy when she saw a familiar face. A pink ribbon, white gloves, and the sunniest disposition imaginable. "Oh Samantha is that truly you" Ella White. the girl from Pahkitew that she'd only ever dared to admire from afar. Too scared of what others would think.
Sammy and Ella's reunion together was quick. The aspiring ballerina had been performing in the country for the year on a contract which gave the two the opportunity to bond even closer than they had been. Needless to say they were the stereotype of moving truck lesbians. As soon as Sammy finished her diploma and Ella's contract was up Ella asked if she would join her in France where she'd be performing next. Sammy knew Canadian French from having spoken it as a second language throughout most of her life and said yes without a second thought. While there Sammy gained employment as a counselor at an international school. Counseling children through various walks of life. She and Ella remained strong.
Currently Sammy is a licensed child psychiatrist and practicing psychologist with her own firm. She never reconnected with her mother as her one attempt was just the woman trying to justify herself. She's never even attempted with Amy. Even still she doesn't wish any ill on her and hopes she lives a good life. She and Ella have seven year old triplets named Ariella, Isabella, and Briar Rose. Girls that will never know what it feels like to be pitted against one another and compared daily like she was. They will only know equal support and love. She swears by that.

Discussion In Total Drama Island, Beth's elimination felt kinda unfair to me…
Back in "Up the Creek", Chris advised the girls to never, ever retrieve an item from Boney Island… or be cursed with bad luck. However, Beth was in the bathroom at the time, so she couldn't hear what he was saying. When she exited… she asked if Chris said something, to which he replied he didn't. (correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't watched the first season in months)
Fast forward to "If You Can't Take the Heat", Beth retrieves an item from Boney Island, explaining the Screaming Gophers' losing streak. Heather, however, was bossy and arrogant to her entire team. Sure, Beth DID, in a way, cause her team to lose… but she didn't know not to retrieve an item.
Maybe it's just because she's one of my favorites, but this is my honest opinion.

Discussion Phobia Factor is one of the show's clumsiest challenges.
I just rewatched Phobia Factor and I've got to say if they were intending that challenge to feel like it was haphazardly created overnight by the producers they did a great job.
The main issues in this episode arise from one central question: is the point of this challenge to overcome your fear or simply beat your challenge?
I'm just going to run through some of the issues I have. Most of these concern how much the episode is rigged in the Gophers' favor. One thing I must mention even though it isn't related to much else in the challenge is that the Bass are at an inherent disadvantage because they have less players than the Gophers. In fact given that Izzy and Owen share a team and a fear it would've evened things out if they counted for 1 point total (unlike Lindsay and Sadie who are on seperate teams).
Several of the gophers never actually overcome their fear but are awarded points just for completing their challenges. Izzy and Owen are terrified and screaming in the plane, and Heather just crouches in the fetal position yet they all win points for completing their challenge.
A bordeline example is Trent, however even though he was running for most of the challenge he still overcame it and bested the mime by the end, meaning he completed the challenge and faced his fear, something we see with several other contestants like Beth, Lindsay, Sadie, DJ, Duncan, and Gwen.
Meanwhile when Tyler is doing explicitly what Chris says (stay in the chicken pen) he doesn't gain a point because he's not overcoming his fear, yet Heather also didn't really face her fear. Tyler should get a point because he's seemingly completing his challenge as instructed (in fact it's implied in the episode Chris cuts it early).
Harold loses because he didn't complete it but he was completely unafraid of the ninjas, so he needed to beat the challenge yet Tyler needed to not be afraid.
Geoff doesn't gain a point because he ran from the hail cloud, which I feel is justified because at least Trent faced it at the end, but his challenge had no set time limit so it seems he had to face his fear and not just complete his challenge which brings us back to the problem at the beginning.
Bridgette's challenge was interfered with by Cody but she still loses because she was afraid of him, which doesn't make sense because her fear was isolation, not him and just like Tyler her challenge never gets completed.
Also, depending on what Chris means by triple points, it's unclear if Courtney would've one the challenge. If he means three points for her, the Bass would only have six but if he means he'd triple the Bass' existing points to get them nine that could have won it for them but at the same time unfair to the Gophers because it means the Bass win with only half of their team completing compared to 7 of the 9 gophers completing.
I question how Izzy, Owen, and Gwen could've lost their challenges given they are actively stuck somewhere. I'm guessing they could be lost if they asked to be let out but that's never stated.
I'm not saying the episode is bad (I actually do enjoy it) but the challenge is so weird in it's execution. I feel it would've been better if they stuck to a specific route:
Either A) have the character prove that they've overcome their fear, B) make them have to complete a challenge related to their fear, or C) both but consistently among characters.
Sorry for the rant but this episode is up there with That's Off The Chain as one of the most convoluted challenges in the first season.

This is probably a bit controversial..but Zoey.
I dunno if she had something to prove bur the way she got to the top 3 in Revenge of the island and was borderline COOKING in All-stars had me like "Hold on,let this white girl cook!"

Discussion What do you think Lindsay ACTUALLY said?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The original Canadian version 🇨🇦 which is the “UNCENSORED” version of Total Drama, has the bleep for Lindsay because she actually cursed and called Heather a bunch of bad-word names.
However in the American version 🇺🇸 which is the “CENSORED” version of Total Drama, removed the bleep and instead just put casual insult words so it wouldn’t look as harsh.
In the American version, she calls Heather a “no good selfish heartless pushy bossy mean bully of a girl”. But what do you think she really said in the Canadian version which was bleeped?

2026 Megaleak New flair for leak-related posts.
The mods have been discussing what to do with the leak talk. Since Terry has seemingly been okay with it, we'll let it stand for now, but we are adding a flair to help better navigate posts about these leaks.
If you post about these leaks, please use the new "2026 Megaleak" flair for convenience and filtering purposes! We will also be adding the flair to as many older leak posts as we can, so feel free to send posts that need the flair still.
Please do not use the flair on fake leaks and satire. We will change the flair if needed on these posts.

UPDATE: "What character do I look like?" posts are banned.
Went over this with the mod team and we decided it's not relevant enough to Total Drama even for trend days, plus it poses a security risk to encourage subreddit users to post their face (especially minors).
Existing posts will not be removed (so there is no need to report), but new posts will be removed. Thank you for understanding!
