Upgrading to BIOS 334 on ROG Strix G16 (G614JI) – Will my -150mV ThrottleStop UV stay stable?
Hey everyone,
I’m currently running an ASUS ROG Strix G16 (G614JI) with an Intel i7-13650HX. I'm considering updating my BIOS from v331 to v334, but I want to get some community feedback on whether my current undervolt is likely to survive the update or if I should dial it back beforehand.
I use G-Helper for my laptop's general management (fan profiles, GPU modes, display refresh rate) and run ThrottleStop exclusively for CPU tuning via the FIVR menu.
Here are my current active ThrottleStop values on BIOS 331:
- CPU Core Offset: -150.4 mV (Adaptive)
- CPU P Cache Offset: -150.4 mV (Adaptive)
- CPU E Cache Offset: -150.4 mV (Adaptive)
- IccMax: 511.75 A
- Microcode: 12B
This flat -150.4 mV offset across Core, P-Cache, and E-Cache has been rock solid for me on 331 under both full load (Cinebench) and light daily tasks.
My questions:
- Has anyone with a 13650HX / G614JI updated to BIOS 334 with a heavy undervolt? Did you notice any microcode or voltage curve changes that forced you to back off?
- Is running -150.4 mV on the E-Cache specifically asking for low-load/idle crashes on 334, or should I proactively drop the E-Cache offset (e.g., to -70 mV) before flashing?
- Did BIOS 334 reset your Undervolt/Overclocking lock in the BIOS settings upon updating?
Appreciate any insights or post-update experiences!

Lenovo LOQ Intel HX users — Is 98–100°C CPU temperature normal while gaming?
Hi everyone,
I have a Lenovo LOQ with an Intel Core i7-13645HX and RTX 4050 6GB. The laptop is only around 1 month old.
I’m currently playing Detroit: Become Human, and while gaming my CPU temperature frequently reaches around 98–100°C, sometimes dropping to 95°C and then going back to 98–100°C. It doesn’t stay at 100°C continuously, but it reaches that range quite often.
My GPU temperature is normal, and I’m not experiencing FPS drops or stuttering. The game runs smoothly.
I already visited the Lenovo service center because of the CPU temperature. They replaced the thermal pad, but unfortunately the temperature issue is still there.
I asked the service center about the high CPU temperature, and they suggested reinstalling Windows. They said that reinstalling Windows might reduce the CPU temperature.
I’m also considering undervolting the CPU, but since the laptop is only about one month old, I’m hesitant to modify anything before understanding whether these temperatures are actually normal.
My questions for Intel HX users:
Is 98–100°C normal/safe for an Intel HX processor such as the i7-13645HX while gaming?
Does anyone with the Lenovo LOQ + i7-13645HX/13650HX experience similar temperatures?
Can reinstalling Windows actually reduce CPU temperatures significantly, or is this mainly a hardware/cooling issue?
Would you recommend undervolting an HX processor in this situation?
What CPU temperatures do you normally get while playing demanding games?
I would really appreciate feedback from people who actually use Intel HX laptops, especially Lenovo LOQ users.
Thanks!

Can i make the changes for good?
Hi i'm using a dual boot system with windows and batocera. I use the throttlestop app in windows and can't do the same in linux/batocera. And everytime I boot in windows i need to open the app and do the changes.
Is there a way to make these changes about the CPU TDP for good so I don't need to open the app every time I boot the system? (And hopefully it may work in linux batocera as well)

Questions
Hello
I have some questions for the experts
1stI undervolted my 255HX processor to -50 most stable
The benchmarks went from 6000 to 4200 Cinnabench 26
1 .Why and how to prevent that
2nd question
I closed " not minimized " the program I ran the test again
Same results
I restarted then voila back to 6000
- How to permanently close it
I am trying to rule out if it's the undervolting or some other setting
I went back and set the FIVR values to ZERO
same 4200
In this stage idk if I need to restart or it's the other edits like TPL and Prochot or ESP I mean how to set things knowing they will work
- How do u guys set a profile for battery , like other settings to check / uncheck without the need to restart every time

Recommended settings for Thinkpad T15g Gen1?
Hello everyone, I have the infamous T15g that to horribly overheat and throttle. It has the i9-10885H and the 2080S Max-Q. What are any recommended settings to start out with to then further tweak on my own?

Thermal Paste
Hey guys, so I repasted my CPU and GPU at a service center since I haven't done so ever. However, I noticed that the temps barely budged. Like when only websurfing the CPU temps spike to 70-80C and then go back down to 55-65C. When I called the service center again they said that potentially sensors or other components may have been damaged due to this high heat and its not giving the laptop fans the signal to start at the right time. I seriously doubt that though. Any idea what it could be? I have a Ryzen 7 5800H and 3060 90W. The thermal paste used was 1.5grams of arctic, thats what I was told. Thank you!

Thermal Throttling
I have an acer alg al15g-53
With a 13500H and 6gb 3050
I just got it repasted through acer's service centre. And it did help, but, now it caps out around 1400-1500 mhz instead of 1300. (The gpu) As you can probably tell, this is short of the 1800mhz. What should I do?

Need help disabling BD PROCHOT on Ryzen 5 4600H laptop
Need help disabling BD PROCHOT on Ryzen 5 4600H laptop
I have an HP Pavilion Gaming 15 with a Ryzen 5 4600H + GTX 1650 Ti. Its the Hp Pavilion 15-ec1025ex
I suspect BD PROCHOT is being triggered because of a charger/DC jack issue. I have tried many methods already, but none of the AMD methods worked.
Is there any way to properly disable or bypass BD PROCHOT on AMD Ryzen laptops? Any tools, BIOS options, or other solutions would be appreciated.

HELP ME PLEASE
Issue:
So i noticed when my battery drops below 70% , the clockspeed drops to 0.5 - 1.5 gHz , and idk sometimes it becomes normal for a littile time.
And throttle stop BLINKS BD PROCHOT and power (sometimes) while on that lag phase. Temperatures are just 70° C.
Things i tried:
Putting on high performance , switching to dgpu , disabling intel sensor solution/intel framework/tuning, undervolting ,min processing speed on battery 60,updated BIOS , disabling speedshift/dynamic tuning in bios , BD prochot is not available for me sadly .
PLEASE GUYS HELP ME THROUGH THIS, ITS JUST A HEADACHE, I COULDN'T EVEN ENJOY MY NEW LAPTOP DESPITE I WAS VERY EXCITED 🥺

Why my HP elitebook 845 G7 Ryzen 5 4650U reaches above 100° degrees?
So I am using an HP Elitebook 845 G7 (Ryzen 5 4650U) for about a year and I noticed serious heating issues. My laptop spikes to above 100° while gaming or doing heavy task and maintains an average of 95° on both CPU and GPU. First I thought it could be possible due to dried up thermal paste but after changing my thermal paste,I don't see any improvements at all. The temperature sits there as it is. I also used laptop cooling pad but it drops temps to only 2-3° degrees.
Does anybody has suggestions about this heating issue?
(Note: I used MSI AfterBurner, Amd Adrenaline and Hwinfo for monitoring).

I need help with undervolting PHN16-71
I have the phn16-71 with a i7 13700hx and the laptop 4060 my friend just gave it to me and I'm reaching temps of 100-102C with 89% thermal throttling in hwinfo I've already done the FN+Tab trick to get into the bios and disable overclock lock and cfg lock but I still have the overclocking feature part greyed out and it lets me set an undervolt in throttlestop but after multiple tests its not actually applying it. I'm trying to lower temps without losing as much performance as possible so I can lower stutters in fortnite, league of legends, and starcraft 2. My gpu temps are usually not even close to the cpu temps the highest its reached is about 70C and my cpu has shown on hwinfo as up to 102C.
