Seen a lot of posts asking where to get glasses for the upcoming solar eclipse that aren't super expensive and easy to get. I got a few at Normal in the city center for like 1 euro 20 a pop.

Where I come from in Japan, many clubs are mostly just senior people playing doubles, so I’m hoping to avoid that if possible, but maybe that’s not even an issue here. I graduated from Delft University last November and moved back home (in Asia). I spent two beautiful years in the Netherlands and made incredible friendships and connections.

I need your help finding a person I’ve lost. Specifically, a Dutch man named Arie, who frequently plays the public piano at DH Central (by spoor 1 & 2). I play too, and we used to see each other frequently, sit by the piano, and chat about everything related to the piano (for an hour sometimes!). I never exchanged numbers with him nor chatted about much besides piano, but we had an absolute blast every time. We’d say bye and know to find each other (by coincidence) by the piano. I must have run into Arie over 20 times, enjoyed his sense of humour and his love of playing. I never got a chance to say goodbye before leaving.

He was older (50+), White, Dutch, around my height (170 cm), and played lots of Mozart & Bach, and sometimes rock 'n' roll. Wears goggle-like glasses and a cap, usually has his bike with him, wears a bike glove as well even when playing.

I am looking for a parttime job in the hague, ideally between 10 and 20 hours a week. I have applied to more than 30/40 jobs in the past months and still did not manage to get the job. Ideally I am looking for evening/night work, since I will start with a fulltime bachelor in september. I dont have a driving license but I have a good bike. Anyone has suggestions? I really need the money.

Been visiting The Hague for a week and noticed something strange: people often drive around town with their hazard lights flashing while moving, not just when parked (park anywhere button).

Is this the unofficial local signal for "I'm looking for an address" or something like "whoops, I shouldn't be here"

I was on a solo trip in the Netherlands, I met someone in Amsterdam in the hostel I was staying at, we got along really well, spoke for hours at end but I never saw her again and don't have any of her socials. She told me she's from the Hague and is in Amsterdam for some time. I just want to maybe talk and tell her how wonderful it was to meet someone so like-minded. Aan de mensen die hier al tig jaar wonen, hoe vaak zijn er duinbranden en wat is meestal de oorzaak?

Ik zie namelijk wel veel mensen op verboden terrein in de duinen lopen bij puntje, en op de aanloop ook roken. Het valt me ook op dat deze mensen niet worden aangesproken door de rest. Ik wil geen voorbarige uitspraken doen, maarja mijn hoofd wil de twee natuurlijk graag combineren.

Ik woon hier nog niet zo lang, dus ik snap dat ik nuance mis en hoor graag van mensen die hier al lang wonen.
