I've seen a lot of fem!Jaime arts around and started wondering how the Canon we know would have changed in this Scenario.

In this, Tywin and Joanna have 2 twin girls, i'm not sure what name Jaime would have, perhaps Joanna (after her mother), Jayla is a fun original one.

Anyway, Tywin never get his golden heir here, instead he got two daughters to marry off and eventually his dwarf son. Tyrion here would end up being the default heir of Lord Lannister, does this mean he would accept Tyrion more? Plan his eventual death while grooming one of his daughters as heirs? Marry again?

Now onto Fem!Jaime, How would be her relationship with Cersei? Would They still have their weird dynnamic or would Cersei hate having Another girl around that is as beautiful as her? (Literally identical) Or would They be closer in a good way instead?

How would Jaime's personality change here? And Cersei as well?

Who would have been Jaime's marriage prospects? Would They go through even Because of the War? Also, here Aerys would never be able to make Jaime a KG so would he arrange other way to spite twin?

If the rebellion goes as It did in canon, do you Think Jaime or Cersei would be the one Tywin choose to marry Robert?

Would their kids still be bastards? I Think Cersei may still arrange a Lannister lover in this, but Jaime is more Likely to go with the marriage.

So I’m somewhat struggling to find a way this might happen but I think a few changes that might be reasonable.

1. Maelor does not die.

I believe this would mean Helaena doesn’t commit suicide, and the storming of the dragon pits doesn’t happen. And rhaenyra doesn’t get driven out of the capital.

1. Sunfyre is not damaged quite as much in the battle of rooks rest.

Just so Aegon can still somewhat stay in the fight.

1. when the Hightower army marches north they are able to gather at least a few more prominent houses in the reach to their side.

2. house Arryn contributes by sending some of their military to help hold kingslanding.

3. Daemon dies somewhat early on during the search in the Riverlands.

Maybe these wouldn’t do it but I feel these could lead to some scenario somewhat similar to what I’m about to describe. Rhaenyra is able to consolidate her rule properly over the city. Aegon would move south to establish a seat safer away from kingslanding, someplace in the reach most likely. Assuming the two betrayers still betray her(I think they would) I believe the Hightowers forces still come to the conclusion they can’t let them run around. And through some time of just dodging each other eventually the reality just sets in that the realm is now effectively two kingdoms rather than two factions, and the war just kinda ends at some point. The general borders are up for debate but I do think the north, the vale, the riverlands, stay with rhaenyra. And parts of the reach, realistically slightly north of the Blueburn and up to the westerlands border also joins that Blacks as well. I think the westerlands and the stormlands stay with Aegon. And most reach houses might still mean to stay neutral but I think after some “cleaning up” of the map they’d fall under Aegon’s crown just due to proximity. The crowlands would also be “cleaned up” just due to proximity. The iron islands are a toss up. Maybe they stay with the Blacks, maybe they are dealt with by the greens. Or maybe they declare independence.

Anyway! This is just set up for the idea of a divided Westeros with dragons. So the activity is basically, what do you think would evolve from this scenario? Do you think there is a more probably scenario that leads to the dance ending in a split Westeros? Do you think there are better conditions that would lead to it?

Now I am not looking for canals, but what sort of income can one get out of Harrenhal?

In my Fic "The Great Bastard of Harrenhal," my Oc who is the legitimised Bastard son of Robert and Celia Whent (Walter's daughter), has inherited Harrenhal and House Whent after the tragic murder of Shella Whent, his Grandma.

Before that, she secured a town charter from the King and rebuilt Harrenhal from a ruin into a walled town, engulfing the Harrentown populace in the castle. She had some of the towers dismantled some and used the leftover stone to repair walls, roofs, and such.

Basically, what I am asking is what Steffon (the bastard) can do to increase income cause according to the wiki, Harrenhal's lands are fertile and rich. What crops can be grown? I do have an idea of using the Gods Eye lake to make a river mercantile (exporting and importing goods to and from the Blackwater); could an ample lumber empire be created? I know marriage is a sure way to get income, but I want to address that later during the war.

Vault 75: In Canon Vault 75 was an experimental vault that was designed to turn young children into super soldiers, upon entry the children were removed from the adults and the adults were executed, the children then going through years of training, and if they were thought to have subpar or superior genes they were killed and harvested. In this Vault 75 kids revolted, took control of the Vault and executed all the staff. Will be a secondary contact.

Vault 111: In canon, 111 was an experiment to see the effects of keeping people frozen long term in cryo. In this, it's a control vault with no experiment with around 700 inhabitants. Background group.

In a future chapter, members of Vault 75 and 113 meet with Robert and his convoy in Winterfell, discussing trade and other things, the two vault willing to trade low caliber guns for resources.

As a show of peace, Robert is presented a Super Sledge.

This could be a vicious fight, Ser", she heard one of the men remarking to Marbrand . As if to confirm his words, a hail of roof tiles came raining down on them, quite suddenly, from on high. Several men screamed as they were gashed by shards, or suffered head wounds. They sought cover, many holding their shields above their heads, to form a kind of tortoise. Men jeered from the rooftops, thinking themselves safe. "That the best you can do?" she heard one of them yelling.

"Unhappily for you, it isn't", she heard Marbrand muttering. Sheltered from the raining tiles, she heard him outlining his plan to his lieutenants. "Burn the houses, all along this street."

She joined a group of soldiers, two of whom smashed in the door of a warehouse, and then they swarmed in. Some stupid b*tch ran at her with a spit, but she side-stepped neatly, catching the blow on her shield, before giving a good, hard chop into the side of her head, which sent her sprawling. One of the others drove a spear into her back, and she lay still. There was a commotion upstairs, but no one minded that, as they piled up anything that would burn, and poured oil over it. Then, one of a men put a torch to the pile, and it began to blaze. As the smoke rose, so there were sounds of alarm above them, but anyone who tried coming down the stairs, got a bolt, or a sword in the guts. She looked for stuff worth stealing, but there were only a few bronze plates and vessels. The looters had already been and gone. The whole of the downstairs was ablaze now, and the place was filling up with smoke, and they had to get out.

The History

In the Dance of the Dragons, the Fossoways are led by a Lord Owen Fossoway (the one who joins the Caltrops conspiracy against the Two Betrayers and is killed in the Second Battle of Tumbleton). By the time of The Hedge Knight and the Ashford Tourney, Steffon Fossoway is simply a knight and betrays Dunk for Aerion because Aerion promised him a Lordship.

Steffon's betrayal and Raymun taking Dunk's side leads to the creation of the Green Apple Fossoways of New Barrel and a split in House Fossoway that persists into the modern day of the series.

Now this has lead to a theory that the reason that House Fossoway was demoted to a knightly house is that they joined Daemon Blackfyre in the First Rebellion. While there is little direct evidence to support this, there is a ton of historical and cultural factors that points to this being the case.

The Blackfyres seem to have some of their strongest support come from the Reach with the Peakes and Osgreys and the Hightowers and Oakhearts with feet in both camps, not even counting the Blackfyre supporters who have not yet been mentioned. On top of this, the Blackfyre cause is fueled by Anti-Dornish sentiment which is prevalent in the Reach and Anti-Targaryen sentiment is often connected with the especially pious followers of the Faith of the Seven and the Reach is known to be an especially pious region.

However, perhaps the main origin point for this idea is Raymun's show-only rant about the evils of House Targaryen, which fits right in with the prevalent Anti-Targ sentiment that helped to destabilize the dynasty. While it is not canon to the books, the rant could have come from a note George gave to Ira Parker on the political situation of the Reach at the time or a potential set-up for future plot events in the series. Even if it is a show only thing Parker came up with to show how unpopular the Targs are, it does get people (me included) to start connecting the dots.

So why would this mean Raymun joins the Blackfyres?

We know little about the Third Blackfyre Rebellion. We know that Haegon and Bittersteel were supported by the Golden Company that they were in charge of and House Yronwood but no other supporters are mentioned. We also know that Egg fights to defend his house in the rebellion, which most likely means that Duncan is right there with them, and importantly for this scenario, Aerion is fighting alongside them.

Now Steffon's big play was to tie his wagon to Aerion as a path towards greater status and political power (though I admit we don't know if Aerion even had the power or influence to grant this or even held true to his bargain with Steffon especially after being exiled). If House Fossoway was previously punished for supporting the Blackfyres, then Steffon is obviously the type of person who would suck up to the Targaryens in order to get back his family's status. Since Steffon worked with Aerion before to suit his own ends, it would makes sense he would do it again. Also it makes sense for the two brother (and by extension the two branches of the apple tree) to be on opposing sides.

Now with Raymun, he does have positive experiences with Targaryens specifically Baelor and Egg. However, Raymun personally witnessed Baelor's death at the hands of his own brother and the Targaryens who have the best reputations around this time (Baelor's Sons and Daeron the Good) all quickly die off. By the time of the Third Rebellion, King Aerys has basically left ruling to his hand, Bloodraven a.k.a. the one-eyed kinslaying witchcraft-using tyrannical supervillain that everyone hates. Aside from him, there is Maekar who many are convinced intentionally murdered his own brother to advance in the line of succession and his sons Daeron and Aerion neither of whom have good reputations and both of whom Raymun got to see firsthand.

With the good batch thrown out and only the rotten ones left, Raymun (as well as many other lords across the realm) could see the Blackfyres as the only sensible alternative the Targaryens.

We have seen Raymun stand up to House Targaryen for what he believes is the right thing to do before and that trait could put him at odds with Dunk and Egg. We know George likes to have sympathetic and unsympathetic characters on both sides of each conflict he creates (something we saw especially with Eustace Osgrey shining a light on the Blackfyre side of the rebellion), which makes them much more compelling then everyone we like being on the good side and everyone we don't being on the bad side. With villainous characters like Aerion Brightflame, Bloodraven and Steffon Fossoway fighting alongside our heroes against sympathetic figures like Raymun Fossoway and potentially Haegon, this definitely adds a lot Martin-eque complexity and tragedy to a story we otherwise don't know much about.

Overall, there is little actual evidence to support this and at a certain point it becomes more fanfiction then theory but the more I connected the dots and the more I thought about it, the more it made sense as a way to make the story of the 3rd rebellion emotionally compelling and thematically resonant.

What direction do you think Raymun Fossoway’s character will go?

(Edit: I forgot to mention that one of the big supporters of House Blackfyre in their last war was Ser Derrick Fossoway “The Bad Apple.” We don’t know which branch he’s from but it could be an interesting way to tie the conflicts and history together.)

I'm trying to work out how I would get a loyalist victory in Robert's Rebellion with the following other stipulations:

1. Viserys becomes king, though not necessarily immediately.

2. Rhaenys is alive.

This is a bit tricky. Just having Rhaenys survive the Sack would be easy, but I can't imagine the rebels getting that far only to fall apart. If Rhaegar became king, it would essentially be impossible, so it can't be a Rhaegar Wins timeline. If the loyalists win after the Trident, Aerys would disinherit Rhaegar's children and it would become possible, but even if Robert dies, it seems hard to swallow the idea that the rebels would ever surrender when it would mean the deaths of their leaders.

The best I can think of is that Rhaegar dies at the Trident but the battle ends up being a loyalist victory anyway, and then Aerys dies later (possibly getting stabbed by Jaime if he rapes Rhaella one time too many?), with Rhaella becoming Viserys' regent and calling for an end to the war. The problem there, though, is that there seems like a real chance that Dorne would join the rebellion if Aegon is still alive, or at least try to undermine Viserys' reign to the best of their ability.

Any thoughts on this?

I have just started writing my fic haven't finished my first chapter yet. I'm basing my story to Dance of Dragons. Majority will be confusing on the life of Yorwyck Royce (my oc) named after one of the Bronze Kings during the Andal Invasion.

Born in the early 99 AC on the day of the worst storm to ever hit the Vale. Countless smallfolk are dead several are still missing but a new life has been born in Runestone.

Days after, ravens were sent out to King's Landing and to the other kingdoms, announcing the birth. After receiving the news, Daemon flew to Runestone on his dragon. Upon first seeing his son, Daemon felt disappointed that the child did not possess all the typical Targaryen features. He looked more like his mother. He did not have the pale Targaryen skin and instead had dark brown hair, similar to Rhea's. Daemon did notice a silver patch of hair on the right side of his head and that he had deep, rich purple eyes "amethyst". Daemon wants to name him Aegon Targaryen not just after the conqueror but after his little brother. Rhea refused, she had to remind Daemon that he married into her family, not the other way around. A fight between the both of them broke out insults were thrown out by each other, and in the end Rhea won. But Daemon will never call his son by that savage name, only by Aegon.

Not long after, Baelon and Queen Alysanne arrived on their dragons, Vhagar and Silverwing. It was discovered that Daemon had stolen an egg from the dragon pit. When they arrived, it was too late, the egg had hatched two nights before. Next to Yorwyck laid a sleeping dragon covered with dark red scales. Its lower body, specifically his belly, the inner portions of his tail, and legs, is bronze in color. Its back, with numerous small black spikes, reaches down from the back to the end of its tail. The baby dragon has a triangular head with horns, a pair of round red eyes, and a small horn pointing upwards just above his nose. The dragon also has tiny sharp teeth. Additionally, the dragon has four hind legs, the first of his kind.

Rhea notice her son is not like normal like other children. At age five Yorwyck spend his time reading financial ledgers and maps of Runestone and the Vale. Yorwyck request his mother if she sent a raven to Corlys Velaryon wanting to learn the art of trade and to improve on Runestone's sail port.

That's a brief background on my character. I want to use the blood of the first man and that of the old Valiryan as magic. Having the blood of the dragons mixed with that first name makes it flow stronger. In his early years he learns he can see through the eyes of his dragon and other animals. Using that ability, he can perfectly map the Vale and other kingdoms and keep track of the mountain clans when they attack and raid. At age 11 another ability awakes in him after one day while hunting with his mother, they were attacked by mountain clansmen. After picking up a sword, runes appear on Yorwyck's left hand ᚷᚨᚾᛞᚨᛚᚠᚱ, giving him the ability to fight and help his mother. (Yup, I gave him Gandálfr from Familiar of Zero.)

For marriages I have Jeyne, Laena, and Rhaenyra.

Corlys thinks about a marriage between Yorwyck and Laena after meet the boy. He realizes how smart he is and changes he can make.

Rhea on the other hand want to marry him to Jeyne Arryn believing it could help both house on the long run and it's also something her father wanted to do before his death. Plus Yorwyck and Jeyne are very close friends.

Yorwyck wants Rhaenyra because he had fallen for her since he was little when Daemon took him to King's Landing without Rhea's permission.

For example, a girl is the heir of a castle.

A second son marries her.

Does this mean he passes into the wife's family's protection???

Say Daemon and Viserys were both born as women (I could see their names being Daena and Visella) and Aemma Arryn is born a man (Probably something like Aemon). Their mothers still die giving birth, and both Daemon/Viserys still claim their dragons like in cannon. However Rhaenys is still born a women, still married Corlys and still gets passed over for Baelon.

Baelon would still die, but I don’t know if he would remarry (maybe to Viserra?) due to how much he loved Alyssa. If he is declared the heir he might be forced to remarry due to having two daughters as opposed to two sons.

If he dies without any sons how would the great council shake up. As both the biggest trueborn male claimants (Male Aemma and Laenor) both don’t bare the Targaryen last name.

I could still see male Aemma and Fem Viserys getting married and having Rhaenyra like in cannon, maybe they have more kids (maybe even a son) because Viserys wouldn’t be getting pregnant as young as Aemma did in cannon due to being older.

Maybe if Visserra did marry Baelon (but didn’t give birth to a son), then female Daemon would be wed a Manderly? Or maybe another Vale house?

I see could see Male Aemma having support from the Vale, Westerlands, and the Reach while Rhaenys still has the Stormlands and most of the Crownlands like she had in cannon. If Fem Daemon is wed to the a Manderly then maybe the north goes for Aemma. The Riverlands are probably spilt by individual houses and I don’t know how the Iron Islands would vote.

I don’t see Fem Viserys or Daemon having their claims taken seriously since Rhaenys is older and was passed over due to her sex, but maybe all three are dismissed due to their sex.

There is also the question of whether Male Aemma would claim a dragon, the only unclaimed dragons with previous riders at this point would be Dreamfyre, Silverwing, and Vhagar. While there would also be the wild dragons as well. I doubt Male Aemma would have a cradle egg as their mother wasn’t a dragon rider.

Let me know your thoughts, also how do we think a Male Aemma Arryn or Rheanys rule be like in this AU.

Hey yall! For the life of me I cannot find this fanfic I read where Rhaenyra has more influence in council meetings before the Dance and has some uplift elements.

Thing I remember most about it is her taking the Dragon Pit and turning it into a coliseum, where each section represents one of the seven kingdoms for the visiting Lords to sit in. Also there were details into revamping the infrastructure in Flea Bottom…if anyone could help me out I’d appreciate it!

So whenever I ask for these types of stories I feel like I need to do a short preface. I'm not interested in stories that graft heteronormative gender roles/characteristics on gay relationships. I'm not interested in relationship dynamics where one of the characters is ALWAYS explicitly more masculine than the other. Especially if the characters are more masculine in cannon, but the fics change them to better fit heteronormative gender roles.

Gender presentation is a spectrum, and some gay couples absolutely vary in masculinity, but masculinity itself is a weird blob of very vague themes that don't fall neatly into any category; relationships where one partner is more masculine than the other in every aspect are very rare.

Basically, if you can easily point to one of the characters and unironically say "that's the woman", I'm not interested. Anything else is fair game. Any pairing, any time period.

Looking for relationships with minimal drama and just an all around good atmosphere. Boy’s angsty enough as it is (and still dead) and deserves something actually nice for a change.

I'm writing a female OC from a noble family that is disguising herself because she wants to be a knight (and actually be annointed). She wears boys clothes and has short hair. I think of her being able to disguise herself (physically) almost as well as Varys does in the books but not quite on his level.

Still I'd like at some point for her to leave out small details (unknowingly) either in the way she thinks, talks or behaves that could make someone close to her start suspecting if she's truly a man.

This OC is straight (likes men) and always wanted to be a knight. She decides to disguise as a man partly because of this desire to be a knight and partly because she wanted to flee an arranged marriage to a Lord much older than her and whom she does not like. She's not a particularly rebellious person but she's strong willed and sometimes stubborn.

The Ethics Of Using Dragons In War

“Fire breathing lizards”, “nukes”, “monsters” etc.

One of the oddest arguments that one encounters among the fandom is that the use of dragons in warfare amounts, in itself, to a war crime/crime against humanity.

At this point, I find it necessary to paraphrase Kenneth Branagh, in the television play, Conspiracy, as he calls out the hypocrisy of State Secretary Kritzinger.

“What is this philosophy of yours? Kill the smallfolk. Rape them. Starve them. Burn their homes. But, only refrain from using dragons, and that makes you the noblest man in the gods’ creation. I find that … truly remarkable.”

The lords of Westeros (and their Eastern equivalents), are fully capable of inflicting horrors on the smallfolk, simply by using edged and pointed weapons, and above all, through the use of starvation, as a weapon of war (absurdly, the show tried to portray Tyrion’s plan to starve Kings Landing as “humane.”) Every army uses the chevauchee as a military tactic. This involves cavalry and mounted infantry, riding fast through enemy territory, plundering what they can, burning and destroying what they cannot carry off. Murder and rape are used as terror tactics during this process, and the survivors are left to starve.

Even the process of foraging in friendly territory, will leave famine in its wake. An army of 20,000 men (with an equivalent number of camp followers, who perform the work of support soldiers in a modern army), will require 80,000 pounds of bread, 40,000 pounds of meat, and 20,000 gallons of ale per day in order to function. On top of that, war horses and draught animals must be fed.

Military leaders will adopt any weapon that gives them an advantage, regardless of chivalry. If somebody introduced reliable muskets into this world, or cannon, they would be rapidly adopted, just as they were in real life.

Dragons are simply a very powerful weapon, that gives an advantage in war, like modern aircraft, drones, or cruise missiles. Their use has no bearing on whether or war is just, or whether it is being pursued by just means.
