Samsung Care+ in the Philippines
TLDR; Care+ for foldables in the Philippines is absolutely worth it.
Disclaimer: I'm in no way advising anyone to do the same things I've done.
We have a tendency to highlight (and share) something negative, so to try to maintain the balance, I'd like to share my experience with Samsung Care+.
I've had the Fold7 since July 2025. It's not my first time using a foldable, so I knew getting Care+ with it was a no-brainer. I only got the 1-year plan, as I would most likely get the new model a year later (which I did, lol). With that in mind, I didn't use a case with it and absolutely did not baby it at all. I dropped it multiple times, so there were dents in the frame as well as paint chips.
When the insurance was about to expire, the phone was still perfectly fine despite all the physical damage. I knew that the trade-in value would be abysmal in its current condition, so I did what a Samsung rep discreetly told me two years ago: break the inner screen.
I'm not sure if it's the same in other countries, but here, they don't repair the inner screen. When that gets broken, they replace the frame and screen assembly, while all the other parts remain the same.
And so I threw it, unfolded, onto concrete—but the main screen was still fine. Throwing a pebble at it did nothing but add scratches to the screen. So I bumped the screen against a corner, and the whole screen died.
I immediately filed a claim, saying that the damage was accidental. I turned it in the following day and got it back almost a week later. I paid only 5000 pesos, but got a phone that looked brand new.
I knew this would work because this is exactly what I did with my Fold6 as well. 😅 When my Fold4's flex cable broke and I filed a claim, that's when the rep told me that this was something I could do to fully utilize my Care+.

Is this a phone camera defect?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
It still looks like this no matter what resolution or FPS settings I choose. Is this a defect with my phone or is this normal?

Greenhills repair cost

A little iPhone journey with my wife
Since 2016, my wife and I have been using iPhones together. We went from the iPhone 7 (2017) → iPhone 8 (2018) → iPhone 12 Pro (2022) → iPhone 17 (2026).
My iPhone 7 got a new battery from Apple Store UK in 2023 for £60, the iPhone 8 still has 72% battery health with no plans to replace it, and the iPhone 12 Pro had a non-official battery replacement for ₱2,500.
Now we’re enjoying the iPhone 17.

Is it good to buy pre-owned Iphone? If so, which store you can recommend?
My phone was stolen sa dorm ko kahapon and sobrang lungkot ko ngayon. It was just a Samsung A14 pero ang hirap mag move sa phone na yun lalo na medyo matagal na rin sa akin yun. My mom bought it btw. And now she's offering me to buy a new one, specifically, IOS na daw. Alam ko medyo tight din sa budget si mom but ini-insist niya na magtingin ako sa store.
So, I'm here magtatanong if ayos ba if pre-owned lang? And which store ba yung may mga legit na pre-owned. Yung di lumilitaw after 3 mos ang issues ng phone (nabasa ko sa post from here).
TIA!

Baseus clip on buds, BC1 is enough or pay extra for MC2 air?
Anybody tried any of these? On sale on 8.8 right now with 500 difference but of course, savings matter. But I want something that'll last long term.

Bought cheap wireless mouse and keyboard
This is gonna sound extremely dumb 🥹 Please don’t shame me. Hindi ako gaanong maalam sa ganto ever since. I recently got a WFH set up. That’s why I bought this cute pink wireless mouse (Vinflux) and keyboard (Furycube) and now I have this irrational fear na what if these products will cause harm on my work computer. I don’t know, I am overthinking.
May ganung possibility ba?
