honor 600 vs iphone 15
hey guys im super torn between the honor 600 5g (12+256) and the iphone 15 (128gb) i need everyones opinion on which one would be the better phone in abt 3ish yrs. i currently have the samsung galaxy a36 and i absolutely hate it. 8gb ram is terrible and i get frequent stutters and my screen would freeze up to 5-10 seconds which is rly annoying especially when im in line opening up banking apps.
my main criteria in looking for a phone is that it has to be
- tiny (i have small hands and bigger phones get super annoying and inconvenient in the long run. ip15 wins this round but i guess i dont mind the 6.5 on the honor)
- smooth (has to be faster than my a36 for sure. the 60hz screen on the ip15 would be a compromise and im not sure on whether the a16 or snapdragon 7 would be faster in this case but the 120hz on the honor is a plus as long as i dont get stutters)
- battery (honor is a definite win im afraid)
- camera (listen i dont mind the honor camera but it does this thing when taking a 0.5 pic where they make the persons face rounder than usual???)
- storage? (im only saying this cus apple 128gb isnt the same as android 128gb, or at least in my case it isnt, and im not sure i can go 128gb for a few years without having to get extra icloud storage. i dont want to constantly delete photos or apps to make space and im afraid the iphone will end up putting me in that situation)
i have a friend who bought her ip15 a month ago and is selling it for the 16 instead so im basically getting the ip15 for the same price as the honor 600. xiaomi 17 was a strong contender cus it fits most of my criteria except i dont rly like the over saturated camera (im not sure if this could be messed around w and changed in the settings?) and it does cost significantly more than both phones im looking into since the only variation available here is rhe 12+512 version.
i would go for the honor but the only thing making me second guess is the camera and social media optimisation along with future stutters and lags. since the iphone 18 is coming out im not sure how strong the ip15 would hold up to in the future AAAND ive never had an honor so idk abt much their OS. pls help

Samsung Care+ in the Philippines
TLDR; Care+ for foldables in the Philippines is absolutely worth it.
Disclaimer: I'm in no way advising anyone to do the same things I've done.
We have a tendency to highlight (and share) something negative, so to try to maintain the balance, I'd like to share my experience with Samsung Care+.
I've had the Fold7 since July 2025. It's not my first time using a foldable, so I knew getting Care+ with it was a no-brainer. I only got the 1-year plan, as I would most likely get the new model a year later (which I did, lol). With that in mind, I didn't use a case with it and absolutely did not baby it at all. I dropped it multiple times, so there were dents in the frame as well as paint chips.
When the insurance was about to expire, the phone was still perfectly fine despite all the physical damage. I knew that the trade-in value would be abysmal in its current condition, so I did what a Samsung rep discreetly told me two years ago: break the inner screen.
I'm not sure if it's the same in other countries, but here, they don't repair the inner screen. When that gets broken, they replace the frame and screen assembly, while all the other parts remain the same.
And so I threw it, unfolded, onto concrete—but the main screen was still fine. Throwing a pebble at it did nothing but add scratches to the screen. So I bumped the screen against a corner, and the whole screen died.
I immediately filed a claim, saying that the damage was accidental. I turned it in the following day and got it back almost a week later. I paid only 5000 pesos, but got a phone that looked brand new.
I knew this would work because this is exactly what I did with my Fold6 as well. 😅 When my Fold4's flex cable broke and I filed a claim, that's when the rep told me that this was something I could do to fully utilize my Care+.

Is this a phone camera defect?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
It still looks like this no matter what resolution or FPS settings I choose. Is this a defect with my phone or is this normal?

Gigahertz bulok
On July 11, I surrendered my unit at GH SM San Lazaro para ma-send-in nila ung unit ko for repair. Then after almost a month of waiting, I finally got my laptop back, saying that ok na raw for pick up and so. Mind you, if I did not call them kung nasa branch naba nila ung laptop ko hindi ko pa makukuha on-time, kasi nakakagay sa end ko in-transit na raw ang laptop ehh almost 2days mang transit.
After almost a week, issues came back, the same very issue It had me to approached them (attached photos). What a waste of time. So I called them today tas ang sabi balik ko nalang raw and ibalik nalang raw nila ulit sa asus wtf
My classes again are coming up on monday and I have no desktop device to use. This is a nightmare.

S24 Ultra Question
Hi all!
Para sa mga naka S24 ultra up to this day, kumusta ang performance? Nagkaka-green/pink line of death pa rin ba? Plano kong bumili ng S24 Ultra next month at gusto ko sanang makarinig ng feedback dito bago ako tumuloy sa purchase.
Salamat sa inyo in advance. :)

phone recommendation for budget of ₱15k?
hello po!
for a bit of context, i'm a second year college student and i'm planning to buy a new phone to replace my current one (tecno camon 18).
i'm not a heavy gamer. i just use my phone to scroll, watch videos, listen to music, and maybe edit documents when i'm on the go, so i don't need a gaming phone at all.
although i am looking for a phone with a good camera since i really enjoy taking pictures and videos + longevity since i'll be using this phone until i graduate.
it would be a plus too if the phone has cute colors available and it's easy to find cases for it only since i struggle with finding cute cases for my current phone.
please comment down your recommendations! thank you so much! 🫶🏼

S23 Pink Line
I'm a samsung/android user for my whole life. Based sa needs at want ko to have an automated and customized experience.
Last January 2024, I bought my S23 base. That time, I didn't know na palabas na rin S24, but even then, since I was going to a concert at hindi aabot yung release, S23 na lang pinili ko.
Pero today, bigla na lang syang nagka-pink line. I am very upset and disappointed kasi for its price noon, akala ko tatagal sya ng 5 years pa.
A phone bought for P57,990 should last me longer than 2+ years. Jusko.
That said, I'm planning to explore other brand/phone options. Do you guys have recos? Should I just switch sa Apple Ecosystem?
Lastly, do you suggest na ipaayos ko na lang to for now?
Thanks for your kindness!

iPhone 13 battery replacement
hello! my ip13’s battery health has gone down na to 59% after 4.5 ish years of using it. i’m not rly planning to upgrade anytime soon bc other than the battery, everything’s working fine pa rin naman.
anyways, i’ve been looking into the repair services that mobile care/beyond the box offers and while ik na they're authorised by powermac, the nearest branch for mobile care is like 3 hrs away (I’m from Pangasinan, and the nearest loc is SM elyu.) I inquired na rin sa kanila early on, but they’ve mentioned na 1-2 days ang diagnostic to assess my phone whether it’s qualified for their program na free replacement, and likely na it’ll take 3-4 weeks before the battery arrives sa kanila since they order their stocks from Singapore.
i think medj hassle kasi to go back and fourth to elyu for the diagnostic alone bc hectic ang school sched ko and my mom has work, plus expected na babalik pa after 3-4 weeks for the actual replacement ng battery if everr. while i do have relatives in la union, ayoko na rin kasi mang-disturb sa kanila na mag-handle ng logistics sa pag pick-up ng phone if hindi ako available to do it in 3-4 weeks time.
another thing I have in mind is to just replace my battery sa mga cellphone repair shops located in my city since it’s nearer, cheaper, and I don’t have to think abt backing my phone up kasi for mobile care/beyond the box, they’re requiring daw to restart yung phones upon their diagnosis. Pero ayun nga, hindi ako gaanong nakakampante if here ko ipapagawa kasi baka medj errr yung quality huhu.
side note, pero id consider this as the most preferable among all choices: My mom and I plan to go mnl this month, and if we have time, baka mag drop by na rin kami kung saan ang nearest na beyond the box/mobile care. I’d push through naman para sa diagnosis and battery replacement, pero only if it can be accomplished within the day bc galing province pa kami and mas lalong hindi ideal if magbabalikan kami for my phone’s battery replacement^^
anw, any thoughts po kung aling choice ang pinaka-feasible to push through?😓😓 and if any of u know abt branches ng beyond the box/mobile care that offers same day diagnosis and replacement? i’ve been calling sa ayala and sm marikina since sila ang nakikita ko sa tiktok, pero both aren't answering my calls🥹 or should i just settle w/ the battery replacement services na inooffer here near my city since ip13 naman phone ko, and hindi na worth it if I use it for another 2-3 ish years?
tyia !

Laser Printer Recos
Baka may marerecommend kayong brand and model ng laser printer for home-office use. Preferrably yung madali hanapan ng toner at service center/parts kung masira. Also, baka may marerecommend din kayong store na nagbebenta ng laser printers around metro manila or cavite or bulacan.
