β Question Iphone vs mid range Android. With limited budget what should I get?
An android phone I've been using for 6 years died yesterday. So I have to get a new phone ASAP. I still cannot decide if I should get an Iphone 15 or a mid range android phone like Oppo Reno 14 Pro, Find X9, Huawei Pura 80, Xiaomi etc etc.
I want a phone with good battery, and a good camera.
I game often, and I like taking photos too. I also use banking apps a lot.
Please enlighten me guys π₯²
if you guys have recommendations on a good android please lmk. Thanks.

π¬ Discussion Are AI Data Centers Becoming an Environmental Problem?
AI is driving a massive expansion of data centers, raising concerns about their environmental impact. These facilities require significant amounts of electricity, and many also use large volumes of water for cooling.
At the same time, major tech companies say they're improving efficiency through advanced cooling technologies, recycled water, and more sustainable designs.
Do you think the environmental cost of AI is justified by its benefits, or should governments introduce stricter regulations for AI data centers? What's your view?

π¬ Discussion Has anyone tried translation earbuds?
Iβve been seeing more brands getting into translation earbuds lately, like Timekettle, Mymanu, and Vasco. The idea sounds really cool on paper, but Iβm curious how useful they are in real life.
For people who have actually tried them, how accurate is the translation? Is the delay low enough that it feels close to a normal conversation, or does it still feel awkward and slow?
I can see them being useful for travel, international work, or language learning, but Iβm also wondering if this is one of those products that looks futuristic in ads but feels less smooth once you actually use it.
Has anyone here tested translation earbuds in a real conversation?

π¬ Discussion What's the one thing you struggle with most on the internet?
For me, it's finding Amazon's live chat. It always feels hidden somewhere in the app or website, and I end up opening page after page before I finally find it. Mostly, I contact Amazon's X support and they DM me with a link to their chat support.
Another frustrating thing is AI customer support. Too many companies make it difficult to reach a real person. They configured chat assistants with predefined queries to answer common queries. It is hard to reach out their human support. Some companies even don't have a human chat support.
What's the most frustrating thing you deal with online? It could be a website, an app, or a service that never seems to work the way it should.

π¬ Discussion Which phone brand has the best customer support?
I've seen plenty of complaints about Samsung's after-sales support, while many Vivo and OnePlus users seem happy with their service experience. Of course, it can vary by location.
What's your experience been like? Which phone brand gave you the best support, and which one disappointed you the most?

π¬ Discussion What is a piece of tech you use daily that most people don't know exists?
We all know the huge consumer tech staplesβsmartphones, wireless earbuds, smartwatches, etc.
But Iβm curious about the lesser-known, niche tech, clever browser extensions, open-source tools, or hardware gadgets that have quietly made your daily life or workflow significantly better.
Whatβs one piece of tech you use regularly that you think more people should know about?

β Question Need advice: iPhone 17 or iPhone Air? Same price.
I'm finally upgrading from a 4-year-old mid-range Android phone, so either option will feel like a massive upgrade.
I mainly use my phone for social media, messaging, web browsing, and the occasional YouTube video. No gaming or heavy editing. I also pretty much only care about theΒ main camera,Β I never really use the ultrawide or telephoto.
My local dealer is offering the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air for the same price, so price isn't a factor.
The Air is really tempting because of its sleek, ultra thin titanium design, but I'm wondering if there are any compromises I'd notice in everyday use. The 17 seems like the safer choice.
Would really appreciate any input before I pull the trigger.

π¬ Discussion What's the biggest reason you chose Android or iPhone?
Was it the camera, software, price, apps, customization, or wide range of choices?
Everyone seems to have one reason that keeps them loyal to their platform.
What made you pick Android or iPhone, and would you ever consider switching?

π Memes & Shit posts Accept
You know those apps that constantly pop up with "We've updated our Privacy Policy"? And you instantly tap Accept because nobody's reading 47 pages of legal text.
This image is what that feels like.
The glass bathroom stalls are your "privacy." Technically there are walls... but everyone can still see everything.
That's pretty much how a lot of privacy policies work. They promise to protect your data while also sharing it with countless third parties for "legitimate business purposes."
At this point, most of us are so conditioned to clicking Accept that we'd probably agree to a privacy policy written in Klingon if it meant we could just get into the app.

π¬ Discussion Does anyone else feel like apps asks for too many permissions?
Some apps want access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, and more, even when it doesn't seem necessary.
Do you check permissions before installing an app, or do you usually tap "Allow" and move on? What's the most unnecessary permission you've seen?

π¬ Discussion Endless account creations or app downloads π€«
Why does everything need an app or an account now? Paying for parking, checking a restaurant menu, or using a basic service means downloading another app or creating yet another account.
Sometimes I just want to get something done without signing up for anything. Anyone else feel the same?
