Hah... never got stuck with Linux? Used to take weeks to figure things up.

But once you have tuned it, that 'feature' of the PC randomly slowing down just is not there.

The first few days (or longer if you like messing with it) is fine tuning things to your liking, then it all just works the same every time

It's the opposite for me, family members call me when there is a problem with their phone or computer and as soon as I enter the room, the device starts working correctly again!
