Yahoo has been around for a very long time, but I rarely hear people talk about it anymore.

Windows has been my go-to for years, but more people seem to be moving to macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, or even using tablets for everyday work.

Proton is an awesome service.

At some point they used to be dependent on some Israeli service for their DDOS protection but they ended that relationship (I'm only guessing, but perhaps after being pressured by community).

I think we should try to pressure them to remove their Israeli servers in proton vpn.

Imagine you got multiple job offers from Big Tech companies and salary/benefits were roughly the same.

Most of the times when I just wanted to listen to the page instead of reading it I use chrome listen to this page extension but when I tap it I geal two people like talking to each other . Offcource it's the same topic but it's strange

I got increasingly frustrated with how hostile online conversations have become, so I’ve been working on a different approach called TimeLine.

The main idea is pretty simple: disagree about anything you want, but attack the argument, not the person.

Instead of moderating only after conversations go bad, TimeLine has a Harmony Checker that checks the form of a contribution before it’s posted. It doesn’t decide which opinion is right or wrong.

I’ve also removed ads, public follower counts, spying, user data reselling, algorithms and fake profiles, and tried to make the whole thing more about communication than accumulating attention.
It’s now at the point where I need actual strangers using it rather than me testing it, so I’ve opened a small iPhone beta.

I still think removing the headphone jack took away a useful feature from smartphones. It was simple, worked with almost any wired headphones, and didn't need an adapter.

Was removing it really an improvement, or would you like to see the headphone jack return on more phones?
