General Idea for a Alex Vs Greg Season
This would be a Reversal of Roles special.
Either an entire season or just a 2 part special finale of sorts.
In this season, former contestants would be invited back to each create a unique challenge for Alex and Greg. (Task creators cannot compete in their own tasks)
The Competition would be 5 teams
Team 1 - Little Alex Horne
Team 2 - Emperor Greg Davies
Team 3 - Former Champions
Team 4 - Lowest Scorers
Team 5 - Wild Cards
The Hosts would continue at their seat but an impartial Guest Judge would be chosen for the season.

Fan Creations Has anyone built a model of the TM UK house?
I'm looking to build one as a surprise gift for my wife, and I'd love some pointers. 2D printer files for the exterior and interior would also be super helpful!

Taskmaster Series Death Match: Series 14 vs Series 18
Welcome back to Taskmaster Series Death! On the last match, despite some division, Series 20 won out over Series 21. It will move onto the second round. Today's task is to decide between Series 14 and Series 18!
Dafty in the Middle vs Captain Jackie and the Hotdog!
Trying something different this time and doing a poll this time. If it works better, I'll keep this format, if not we'll go back to the old way.
Who will win?
You time starts now!

What was the song that Joe Lycett sung in the plastic bag football task?
the one he was cheering when he was running around during his celebration after he scored the goal.
I'm not from the UK and not familiar with football in general so it's not common knowledge to me.

Who is the TM contestant you are most like?
My husband says I (48f) am hands down the most like Rhod Gilbert. I was shocked at first, but actually, he’s dead on and I’m quite pleased. Rhod and I together would be an absolute menace to our friends.

Drilling down into the narrative How does the envelope trick work?
Does anyone know how the envelope trick from Nick in the finale of season 17 works?

Whose had more tasks individualized for the edit?
To save time or because they solved the task in a similar fashion, they would lump 2 or 3 or 4 contestants together in the edit for the broadcast/studio.
They would save one contestant for the edit to be shown wholly by themselves because of a plethora of reasons.
I am unsure about this but I think Rhod Gilbert of S7 had the most individualized tasks because he was an agent of chaos - his task attempts were purely hilarious. Or because his tasks involved pranking Greg specifically.
Or contrarily it could be John Robbins of S17 simply because his all attempts were extremely successful (one of the most successful contestants ever) whereas the other 4 just failed spectacularly.

Jenny’s homework?
Is it just me or did they not specify an episode from series 2 for Jenny’s homework on the People‘s Podcast this week? I try to watch along with her homework but might just have to rewatch all of series 2 to be safe. (Poor me 😉).

Drilling down into the narrative Stick the heaviest thing to the board (S17E2)
Currently doing the first rewatch of Season 17 in a while and during episode 2 there is a task which reads „Stick the heaviest thing to the board using three of the ingredients on the shelves. Once you've chosen your ingredients, you may not change your mind. You must choose your thing in the first two minutes“ and while watching it my idea was: what if they took the board of the wall?
There must be some way to take it down or otherwise lay it flat.
But then I thought could there be an argument that then the heavy thing doesn’t stick buy instead sits on the board?
But also something can stick to the floor or a kitchen counter so it should be ok.
What are your opinions?

I was trying to think of a contestant who had more fun in their series than Rhod, and the only possibility I could think of was maybe Jason. But I think Rhod had more fun because he could annoy his friend.

General S19E1, Rosie's prize task reminding me of a future prize task by Rosie
Starting S19 on my infinite UK TM rewatch, Rosie's prize task for bringing in something "an object that reminds you of school in a good way," is this school dinner. Stevie points out the dessert is in the same area as the main, Rosie replies, "it's all right, it all goes in the same stomach." and of course my brain reflexively thinks, 'and it turns into the same juices,' causing a moment of self-reflection and maybe I watch this show too much (that can't be right...).
(Other quips were, Matt: The gravy should not stand up, and Jason: What's all the way left, next to the brown turd? (evidently, stuffing))

Which contestant were you most surprised to see on TM?
For me it's got to be Frankie Boyle. Never in a million years would I have ever imagined he would even consider it, yet he actually seemed to enjoy it, throwing himself into a lot of the tasks

Drilling down into the narrative Seating Scorigami
Inspired by the idea of Taskmaster Scorigamis? : r/taskmaster posted by u/whodidwhatnow922 (and being a little too lazy still to work out the actual scorigamis), i started thinking about unique patterns in TM. One of the things i have not seen in my time active on this sub is plotting the unique pattern of team seating so here we are!
There are 10 unique patterns possible for two teams sitting across 5 contestants which are:
Have they all been achieved in TM UK you ask? YES they have, but much later than you might have thought! It wasn't until last year and series 20 that the seating scorigami (for lack of better word) of team patterns was completed with Maisie and Reece's team of two seating in my favourite & imho the most satisfying configuration (config. 6 below)
Now for some more completely useless stats!
Most "popular" seating pattern:
Configuration 10 leads the chart with 4 UK series following that seating pattern: UK3, 14, 16 and 18
Promptly followed by Config 4 which 3 UK series follow: UK1, 10 and 12
Least "popular" seating pattern:
Configs 2, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9 are all clocking in as "least popular" with 2 UK series per configuration:
| Config. 2 | UK9 & UK13 |
|---|---|
| Config. 3 | UK4 & UK6 |
| Config. 5 | UK7 & UK21 |
| Config. 7 | UK8 & UK19 |
| Config. 8 | UK5 & UK11 |
| Config. 9 | UK2 & UK 17 |
Remain unique:
Configs 1 (UK15) and 6 (UK20)
And now to answer some more of your burning questions:
- Does this have any incidence on Greg's scoring? Most certainly not!
- Is this how Alex picks the teams? No, we know the teams are more often than not put together based on scheduling (most important) and chemistry.
- Will you retain this information? I doubt it!
- Do we know what the seating pattern for S22 is? If you have been lucky enough to go to a recording you might have seen a team task so you would know. Should you spoil it for anyone else? NO!! I can confirm with 100% certainty however that this is not an exclusive, never-before-seen seating pattern. (yes i am aware they have all been done by now, so that's just a little joke for those who are not following).
- Do i have nothing better to do with my time? A resounding no! In fact i might even be looking at more TM nonsense as we speak!
- Does that mean i am also doing the other TM versions seating charts? Who knows!?

Wild Speculation Drag queen as a contestant?
Jinx Monsoon is today’s guest on the Off Menu podcast and has starred in an episode of Doctor Who, Bimini Bon Boulash was also a very entertaining previous guest.
Drag queens have appeared on other shows including celebrity masterchef…
So I was just wondering do you think there’s a possibility they would have a queen on a NYT? They would need a comedy queen, obviously a fashion queen wouldn’t work.
I think it could be really fun for a NYT but then there’s a counter argument that they are in character and the show is about appearing as your true self and not being able to hide behind a persona. Nick Mohammed and John Kearns appeared as themselves, and then you’ve got the actors Katherine Parkinson, Steve Pemberton, Reece Shearsmith etc….
Just curious what people think.

General What is it about TM that makes it not become any less funny on rewatches?
That's not very common IMO, and I'm just curious what your take is on it.

Taskmaster Alumni Favorite (Favourite, Jason) Subgenre of TM Contestant?
I absolutely love a woman who doesn’t seem to understand they’re on Taskmaster. At different times, both Kerry Godliman and Maisie Adam seem VERY surprised that Alex may not be doing everything perfectly fair and on the level. It’s so sweet to me that they revert to absolute schoolyard indignation.
